  1. Your keyboard seems to be missing a "Return" or "Enter" key. I would suggest purchasing a new one.
  2. This sort of thing bothers me a bit as well. Drake and Sully go on journeys to these ancient ruins holding priceless artifacts. Then the villains come, and together, they make sure the entire place comes down within the hour. I mean, they so casually do this in every Uncharted game. I realize that your life is worth more than some artifacts, but could you show a bit of a respect to what you just destroyed? It actually reminds me of the Library episode in Avatar: The Last Airbender. The group took a guide with them to the ancient library in the desert. Some Arabian guys blow it up while they're in there. The group tries to escape, but the guide wants to stay behind, saying, "This information is priceless! It will never be found again!" I believe he went down with the library.
  3. Is it against the rules to vote for yourself this time?
  4. How could I forget this one. Worst final boss and ending of any game in the series by far. I remember the "Charted" trophy popping up after I defeated the final boss, and I was thinking, "Was that really the final boss?"
  5. Close minded wannabe gamers (see my article "The Different Types of Gamers") People who don't even try and make better grades than I do Feminism Chivalrists Duck-faced girls Level scaling in RPGs Yearly released games
  6. Dragon Age: Origins: Witch HuntDragon Age: Origins: Leliana's Song Dragon Age: Origins: Golems of Amgarrak All these post-game DLCs had such anticlimactic endings.
  7. Only member online...I'm lonely.

  8. This new skin is better, but it isn't that much better. Do it if you have time, but no rush.
  9. The "Steam Box"? CapcomThere seems to be very mixed opinions about Capcom. Some love them for games like Resident Evil and Dragon's Dogma (which had shown that Capcom was not afraid to innovate). Others hate them for killing Mega Man and utilizing on-disk DLC. Love them or hate them, though, you cannot deny that Capcom has been here since the beginning. They are honoring this by releasing Capcom Arcade Cabinet: Retro Game Collection, for PSN and XBLA. While the app itself is free, you will still have to buy the games themselves. +1 for the haters? Here's something you may not know about early games: the difficulty setting was on the console itself. There was a switch on the back. According to Capcom producer Kenji Kataoka, this app will have something similar. While a release date has yet to be announced, retro gamers can certainly look forward to this, eh? No word on how long it will take to ship your physical console button after your purchase your digital download. THQIn case you haven't been keeping up with the industry, THQ hasn't been doing the best lately. With Darksiders 2 flopping, the company is in danger of going under. They have declared bankruptcy and are currently auctioning off their assets. Let's hope they can pull themselves out of this, as THQ has been known to publish the underdog titles quite often. Gabe Newell and ValveAbout a year ago, a rumor began circulating that Valve was going to make a home console. That old rumor has now been confirmed as Gabe Newell has announced that his company is working on a "Steam Box." Its purpose is to play any game on Steam all while being hooked up to your television. It will run on Linux, but is also compatible with Windows. Newell even said that other companies would be welcome to make their own models. How can you not love Valve? They are so generous to other studios and to their consumers. Read the full interview here. Click here to view the article

  11. I played the demo... Was the game any good? I've been wanting to get it at some point.
  12. You know the MRAs have a tough road ahead of them when your own parents don't approve of you joining them.

    Cold Pizza (292x500)

What kind of psycho orders cheeseless pizza? He must've been lactose intolerant or something.
  14. Yeah, my brother bought it. It's ok, but I'm not a fan of how large it is. It's easy to lose track of your teammates.
  15. I agree wholeheartedly. In my opinion, Cutter was the best character. I was also disappointed that there weren't any "monster" enemies. In the first game, we had zombies. In the second, we had the yeti people. In the third, we have demons that were imaginary the whole time.
  16. Modern Warfare 2 was one of the worst games I had ever played. Its Campaign was short, its Spec Ops was boring, and its Multiplayer was ridiculously unbalaced and full of little kids. The fact that no one took me seriously in expressing this opinion only caused me to hate the game -- and the studio -- even more. Black Ops, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise. I didn't want it, but my brother bought it. Its Campaign was quite a bit longer and more interesting. Its Zombies mode was my favorite survival mode ever. And its Multiplayer, though I still wasn't a fan, was at least more balanced. Treyarch>Infinity Ward
  17. By the two characters who disappeared, you mean Chloe and Cutter, right? The main reason I liked the second one more was because of the single player cheats and skins.

    Cold Pizza (292x500)

The ending made me oddly emotional. I feel happy for the pizza and sad for the delivery man.
  19. I REALLY wanna read Eric's comic about pizza, but I get an error screen whenever I try to view it. Any help?

      Should be fixed.

  20. Doomed to buy the new games. That's the whole reason they shut down the servers.
  21. I know, right? I'm just ticked off because my brother bought FIFA 10, then hardly ever played it. When they shut down the servers late 2011, the online trophies became unachievable. Now I'm stuck with a mediocre game on my trophy list I can never hope to platinum.
  22. EA Server ShutdownsEA has announced that it is shutting down its servers for the following games:[*]FIFA '11 [*]Madden '11 [*]NBA Jam [*]NBA Live '10 [*]NCAA Football '11 [*]NHL '11 This doesn't surprise me at all, as EA has a habit of shutting down its servers after about 2 years. It only reinforces me view of them, though. I mean, seriously? Atlus can keep the servers for 2009's Demon's Souls up and running, a game of which the majority of sales nowadays are used. EA has a line of games with required online passes, insuring that most copies are new, yet they STILL shut down the servers. Bah, what has happened to the industry we all know and love? I have my fingers crossed they don't completely ruin Bioware. Thankfully, that was the only bad news I carry tonight. FezFez was considered an incredibly creative Xbox Live indie title. Recently, Phil Fish, the designer and mastermind behind the game, posted on his blog that he plans to bring the game multi-platform this year. If it comes to PSN, will I buy it? I'm not quite sure, to be honest. On one hand, a good consumer supports innovation and small companies. On the other hand, however, I don't like how Fish treats the Japanese market. What did he say to the face of a Japanese game developer? "You games just SUCK." Maybe you agree with him. Maybe you're with me, and you don't agree at all. Either way, though, Fez is said to be one of the best XBLA titles of all time, so it's worth looking up game-play of. Here, I'll even save you the trouble of going to Youtube. Free Stuff: Dune IIHave you ever heard of the game Dune II? Yeah... Neither have I. Apparently it's one of the first RTS games ever, and its being offered for free on the PC. Download it here. While it probably won't stand up to the likes of Starcraft, it's free. Can you really complain?Click here to view the article
  23. I use a sword in my right hand and fire in my left, which I switch to ice when facing dragons. The game is easy enough that it's most efficient to kill all the enemies as fast as you can, and magic in one hand means I won't have my weapons fighting over an energy bar, as each gets its own.
  24. I just switched to it myself. I actually think it looks better than the old design. It looks more cozy. If there's anything I come across that bothers me, I'll be sure to tell you. UPDATE: I like this theme a lot. It does give a much more consistant and clean look. I can also imagine it working well for smaller screens.
