  1. Interesting so you think the important factor will be set boni. While I can see that I personal thought that the most powerful set boni would be available through master dungeon gear and to get those you would allready have to be able to finnish them without those boni. From what I have seen the armor difference looks like this.Light Armor: 0.6Medium Armor: 1Heavy Armor: 1.2 /Edit: I forgot something while you are surely right that heavy armor boni more likely (there will also be some for DPS)focus on tanks that a medium armor could have a set boni like evasion which might could be just as good as the tank bonus
  2. Just wanted to write this :-) Just try it your self you will see that you swinging an axe with 1 hand or an axe with 2 hands is the same speed. I don't think that you are really attack twices as fast maybe 50% faster or so. The normal attack speed is 1sec. (abilities and light attack) light attacks on some weapons have a shorter global cooldown.
  3. Like I said before I did the math and I'm pretty sure that a DK in medium armor will be able to tank all master dungeons because you don't get much more tanky if you go with full heavy armor. I think it's the opposit. That the hp reg(%) only influences the base HP reg and that the hp reg(fix amount) doesn't get effected by it. But it could also be that all get's boosted.
  4. No I'm telling you that a 2handed axe has the same swing speed as a 1handed axe which makes sense. When dual wielding 2 axes your swing speed is the same as with a 2handed one but the cooldown in between your light attacks is lower.
  5. Doesn't look like it. In on one of the beta leaks a guy is using both dual wield and 2 handed, sometimes he just hits with his right hand. Which makes sense because you are captured in the animation, you can press the left mouse button with the same speed. The thing is if you click the left mouse twice you will attack twice and you can't to anything else until that chain is finnished.
  6. I took that into calculation. Lightning Form is actually a very expensive skills compared to others + the DK has also magicka based dmg mitigation skills. That's the same way I feel it to be. The beauty on my build is if needed I could allways switch to full heavy armor the only thing missing would be 300 HP, but therefore I don't have to worry too much about my stamina. Basically it's the same like before foci and focuses are both correct forms but in that case focuses is the more common form. (English also isn't my first language)
  7. I agree that they global cooldown seems to be 1s. It seems that the normal attack speed is of dual wield and 2handed is the same (just re watched a video). With the difference that dual wield can follow up quickly with a hit from the offhand while the 2handed weapon has a longer cooldown.
  8. Just calculated a little bit. Pure HP tank builds have to drop Immoveable othwerwise the run out of stamina to quickly. But the dmg mitigation lost by this skill is worth more than the dmg mitigation you win through the higher armor rating. The remaining advantage is the higher HP reg. I'm quite confident that my dmg Tank will be able to Tank all dungeons just fine.
  9. I just did the math with a Highelf Sorccerer Tank full health full heavy armor sword and shield vs my Redguard DK 5 medium 2 heavy armor 30 points into stamina an 19 in health. The Sorccerer takes about 2% less dmg (if you calculate the 20% more armor as 20% less dmg). However my DK gets more healing has way more ressources and would be able to keep up Evasion and Immoveable which the Sorc Tank couldn't. I will do the math for a full DK Tank compared to mine tomorrow, but what you seem to forget is the huge advantage which comes with the higher stamina reg. Let me ask you a personal question. Do you personally think that there will be a dungeon in ESO which will require a DK Tank who completly focuses on tanking?
  10. the plural of the latin word bonus is bonusse or boni The thing is I think that a DK can get away with 5 pieces medium armor. From the balance aspect I think that they designed their encounter so that a normal tank (heavy armor sword and shield) from all classes can tank. However a DK has more survibility than other classes that's why I think that a DK can get away with 5 pieces medium armor.
  11. I just looked it up. Medium Hands vs Heavy Hands. 177 vs 216 armor not that huge
  12. Yes and most likely if you have magicka reg (10magicka/s) as an enchantment on your gear it just adds to it and won't be improved by your magicka reg. Just saw that you can spend more than 30 points per attribute
  13. Your combat reg is 3%. So if you have 1000 stamina you gain 30 stamina/s. if you have 1000 + 500 than you gain 45 stamina/s.
  14. I didn't even thought about that, I just thought about the dmg increase. Those boni will be very interesting. Normally the last boni is the strongest one but how good will that one fit into your build or do you gain the full bonus ones you wear 5+ pieces?
  15. Dodging is better than block but I'm more keen on the 10% attack speed. I thought that through and my DK build stays more tanky than most other tank builds with full heavy armor. And I just can't see Zenimax to design dungeons so that only a few builds are able to Tank master dungeons, that would be kind of against their game design. I would want them to go real hardcore with dungeons and raids but I think they are going to be more casual.
  16. I know it's sound unlogical at the first glance but just think it through. The 2% dmg mitigation as well as the less than 8HP/s doesn't really matter. The 5% less healing could be pushing your healing a little bit more. But the only critical factor is the armor you lose, however you use Chest and Legs which give you the most armor in heavy that way way you don't lose too much armor. So basically you don't really lose much tankyness at all. Another argument is (that with the amount of dmg mitigation my DK build has) that if this build isn't able to tank with 5m/2h than most other tank builds with 7h also won't be able to tank. Because they won't reach the lvl of dmg mitigation which my build has even without full heavy armor.
  17. I will break it down for you.Heavy armor:5% more dmg mitigation (2% effective dmg mitigation)5% more healing5% more dmg (will be made up with 10% higher crit rate and 10% higher attack speed)20% ( more HP reg is only worth 7.62HP/s)blocking cost 20% less (made up with higher stamina reg, block is allready cheaper through Sword/shield passive, and dodge)more armorSo what I really lose is 5% healing and X amount of armor. The reason for me to go with 5 pieces medium and 2 heavy (chest & legs) is to deal more dmg. Because as a Tank I want to be as Tanky as needed with as much dmg as possible. + That way I would only need 7 armor pieces for my DK and not 12.
  18. Another thingIf gloves are the only armor piece which can be entchanted with power increase. Do you think that I could tank with 5 pieces medium armor and 2 pieces hevay armor (chest & legs) where 6 armor pieces are entchanted with HP reg?
  19. Entchanments don't change the vary depending on armor slot not armor typ. They entchantments are important for my build.
  20. With the changes to medium armor I could see myself going from 7 heavy armor to 5 heavy 2 medium 4/3 and all the way to 2 heavy 5 medium.I assume that there are sets which give you a bonus when you wear 2 pieces and a bigger bonus when you wear 5+ pieces.I would choose a heavy armor set which grants you a dmg bonus and a medium armor set which grants you also a bonus to dmg.I would entchant my2 rings and 1 amulet with dmg increase. All Heavy armor pieces with HP reg and 5 medium armor pieces with dmg increase (if possible)For PvE (Tank) I would go with 7 pieces heavy armor. For PvP (Bruiser) I would use 5 pieces medium armor and 2 pieces heavy armor.
  21. Does anyone know if it's still true that you can spend only 30 points max on Health/Stamina/Magicka? If so it would make my decission easier, because than I would go with Health: 19 Stamina: 30 Magicka: 0 for my DK Tank/Bruiser
  22. They said that werewolves are for those who like to hunt.So I guess they have more stamina and or faster stamina reg and increased sprint speed as their passives.I also could see them having more HP or just be tougher (dmg reduction, more armor)
  23. Yes the Ultimate also changes except you have only 1 slotted. From what I have sse it's only till rank 5. I guess that you can lvl the skills further when they add another morph later on
