Cool, we should organize something at some stage, first I want to get activity for our own events up to standard before we start doing interclan events.

I would like to welcome you into our clan. Congratulations on being accepted into The RuneScape Rebelz! ____________ I. What's Required of You ____________ 1. Forum Activity As a member of TRR, it is your responsibility to periodically check up on the clan forums. This is important for many reasons, the least of which is so you can stay updated on clan news and important announcements. Many members choose to bookmark the forums - Forum Index - and simply check up on them quickly before or after logging into RuneScape. Posting on the forums is a necessary part of becoming involved with our clans community, and promotions are often based on how active clan members are on the forums. ____________ 2. In-Game Communication It might seem silly, I know; but you would be amazed at how many people join and then complain that they didn't ever know when an event was taking place. To prevent that and to get to know other members of the clan, staying active in our in-game friends AND clan chat is a must. Our clan chat is 'The Rebelz', and members are expected to be in it whenever they're on RuneScape. You are allowed to leave the chat in certain situations (e.g. checking up on a merchant chat, moving chats for an event, etc), but generally you should be in the clan chat while on RuneScape. ____________ 3. Other Tips Other great communication tools that can help your chances at a promotion greatly include IRC and Ventrilo. For information on clan channels, please click the 'Communication' drop-down menu in the news header. You can learn more about using IRC specifically in our guide. ____________ Quick Information Clan Chat: The Rebelz IRC Channel: #Rebelz It's great to see you in TRR. We all look forward to getting to know you! If you want, you can introduce yourself to other members by posting an introduction.

Yeah, I know a lot of people in the clan at the moment don't play runescape anymore, which is okay so long as we have other people who do play regularly. As far as deadncrispy goes, I'm not sure whether he's still around either (I've posted a topic trying to find out whats happened to people who are currently staff. As for your offer for help I don't suppose you would be able to design some clan advertisements? If not I'll still probably get feedback from people on the ads before we start using them. Again if anyone has suggestions for me, let me know. Otherwise for now I'm focusing on getting a more solid team on staff which should help with my other goal of getting new people joining the clan and being more involved.

I probably should have been clearer about that. I was suggesting doing the Runescape Christmas quest thing as a group. Although doing a community event like Zybez's would be cool, I just don't know how we might do that, especially when activity is so low.

We currently have some Staff positions that need to be filled, they are; [*]Diplomat (2 or more positions available) [*]Events Coordinator (2 or more positions available) [*]Warlord (1 position available) [*]Council (1 position possibly) To apply to a staff position Click Here and follow the guidelines given, please be professional as possible on your application.

Okay so I want to know which staff members are still around, and what they're doing. As I understand it this is how our staff is at the moment (feel free to correct me) Diplomats deadncrispy- though I haven't seen or heard from him since shortly after he joined. Events Team Labush- I haven't seen him for a while (and I used to log on around the same time) and I don't think he ever announced a winner for the October Skilling competition. Council Jamie- I haven't seen or heard from her for a while. Blue Speed- I have seen him around on the forums occasionally. So if you are listed here, please post here or contact me, letting me know what your status is (whether your still around) and if you want to keep your position let me know what you are doing/are going to do as part of your job. I will leave this up for a while (a month at most) and after that point I will demote you and you will have to reapply for the position and I will make the position available for anyone to apply to (not something I want to do, but seems like the only fair way). If anyone is in contact with these people could you please refer them to this thread.

I do, although not as much as I used to. The main reason I play now is for the clan.
-
Its been a while since I played Skyrim so I can't remember the specifics. But theres a cave with this blind old bandit guy, which is where I got 100 sneak, you can do that rubber band thing Traag suggested since he just sits there (or in my case I just kind of sat the controller in a way that it was holding the thumbstick down. As Orion said though the game scales your enemies, which made it very difficult for me since I did this really early on in the game and then as soon as I left the cave I was attacked by a dragon that was way too powerful for me to deal with at the time. The high leveled sneak abilities were useful though, being able to hide from people mid-battle just by crouching etc.

So we need some events being made. I originally thought about creating a Halloween event back when that was running (ie. we gather up some clan members and do the Runescape Halloween event) for whatever reason I never did that but as seasonal events in Runescape seem to be more community orientated I thought why not do it for Christmas.Obviously at the time of posting this we don't know a whole lot about the Christmas event so at this point I just wanted to see who (if anybody) is interested.I will probably be posting more of these kinds of topics where I basically just gauge the interest people have for it and for any ideas people are interested in I will organize them, (or if anyone is really enthusiastic and wants to have a go organizing it themselves they can do that too)

So to those who aren't aware I was recently promoted to the Clan Leader of The Rebelz and there's a lot of changes that need to be made. Firstly I think we really need to improve recruitment, and I don't just mean getting lots of new members (although obviously thats vital) but also making them feel more welcome, and willing to stay and talk. To do this I really think we need to update our clan advertisements which can be found at http://eldersouls.com/topic/333-clan-advertisement-codes/ . What we need to do with this is create advertisments specific to each community we post on since they all have different rules regarding this. Unfortunately this isn't something I really have the skills to do myself so if theres someone else who thinks they can create useful graphics for us, then we can work together to decide what needs to go into them. Another thing I think we should do related to recruitment is creating a new Introductions forum within the Runescape section of the forums. I know we have one for Elder Souls, I think it could be useful to have one more specific to the clan. That way hopefully new clan members will be introduced to current clan members rather than people who don't really play Runescape anymore. Something I also think needs to be done is removing inactive members from the clan. At this stage I don't mean people who just aren't really playing at the moment I mainly mean people who have never really played since joining and/or don't talk in the clan chat. I will also be evaluating the staff, getting rid of people who haven't been seen for a while, motivating those who are around but not doing anything and filling in the missing gaps. We also need to get more events being made and attended. In the long term this means getting a good events team but it also means everyone needs to be making events. So what I suggest is if you have an idea for an event, no matter how stupid, or whether or not you think your capable of running it, POST IT. Now the way I see my new position is not that the clan is entirely my responsibility nor that I am better than anyone else in the clan, I am merely someone to help motivate and direct all the clan members. If anyone has any suggestions for me to add please contact me, either post a reply to this topic or send me a private message, whichever you prefer. Also let me know your thoughts on my existing plans and if your able to help with clan advertisements please let me know as well. Alright, that's it for now guys and hopefully together we can really improve everyone's experience with the clan.

Lol, initially when you said there was stiff competition I thought you may have been serious. Anyway, I'll start working on trying to get the clan back on its feet.
-
That's fine, I just thought I should apply just in case. So long as there's someone available to run the clan and hopefully get it more active again.
-
I know I'm not a great choice as I've been fairly inactive in Runescape for a while now however I have experience in moderating (Council here and founder of a group on deviantart with over 500 members) and I'd also love to be able to help get the clan closer to how it was when I first joined, which I know will take a lot of work.I would also spend a lot more time in Runescape if I was accepted as clan leader, since I don't have too much to do now that I've finished uni for a few months. A good step would be actually working out who still actually plays Runescape and uses the site and who doesn't, and then getting more members and improving our warring force.I'd also be happy to step aside if someone better suited came along or I wasn't doing a good enough job.Anyway regardless of whether its me or not I think having a new leader would really help as I know that I, and probably a lot of the other staff, haven't really been doing much since we don't really have anyone directing us.

$0.Tipping doesn't ever really happen down here, but unfortunately that means people seem to have way less motivation to do their job well, let alone be friendly. So yeah...I can't help on this one.
-
I'm not doubting that (although its actually more likely to go WTF is that, maybe kill it if it gets to close but not eat it since its never seen anything like it and it wouldn't provide enough sustenance anyway), I'm just saying its not part of there natural diets, and it would only really happen in rare instances in captivity (ie polar bears and penguins escape at the same time and cross paths at some point at which the bear for some reason sees the penguin as a better food source than the various alternatives such as humans and also sees eating the penguin as more of a priority than escaping from the humans trying to contain them).Just like if I was forced to hunt my own food I wouldn't go "hmm...I feel like polar bear, I'll swim all the way to the north pole eat one and then swim back" (not just because I know I would die several times) I'd be far more likely to go "Oh, theres a Kangaroo I'll eat that" (and I would still die XD)
-
Lol. If the guy asking the question was serious then that's worse than the widespread belief that polar bears eat penguins (which would be very difficult since they live on opposite sides of the world), it always pisses me off around this time of year when I see penguins on Christmas stuff. The response is awesome though.

Before I start I just want to say I'm not saying anyone here is wrong, only that I disagree. Also sorry my response is so ridiculously long, This combines two things I'm really interested in, animals and historical warfare, so found it hard to contain my passion. Several things I disagree with there.Firstly as I posted above I think a gorilla could easily tear through any equipment the knight might have as well as being fairly well protected against it especially since you have to remember, even if the armour is just dented that could be enough to kill the Knight, in fact it was one of the major causes of death in medieval combat.Secondly I'm not sure that a sword would be longer than a gorillas arm, when you think about the fact that gorillas are significantly larger than most humans and they also have much longer arms proportionately (since they do a lot more walking on all fours) compare that to a sword which will vary but on average would be about one and half times the length of the users arm and the further away the sword is held more power is lost.Throwing the sword might work but I think thats answering the question "Could a Knight possibly kill a gorilla?" as opposed to which is more likely to win.You also have to remember that the gorilla doesn't just have 4 fists to use it also has its sharp teeth and powerful jaw and even its tough head to use as weapons.A horse isn't going to be much use as again the gorilla could easily handle that, all it would do is balance the speed a bit more. And finally the question of intelligence is debatable (What is intelligence? What measures intelligence? human intelligence tests aren't all that reliable since they are designed by humans so of course humans are better at them) If its a question of mental ability in fighting the gorilla is probably better off since its brain is filled by what it needs to survive which include fighting. However if your meaning alternate strategies the Knight could use, such as fighting at long range instead, then it is more likely to succeed.Something else I just thought of is that a Knight is quite likely to have never seen a gorilla before, whereas a gorilla would probably have seen humans before. That would be a way more balanced fight.
-
I agree the gorilla would win, it would easily be able to smash through the knights armour and its thick skin would protect it from most attacks from the knight. Also the Silverback Gorilla is not a peaceful breed of monkey (its not even a monkey), quite the opposite in fact. They are male gorillas and are famous for their strength, size and agressive nature, which isn't really fair since they are shy vegetarians and only fight if they feel threatened but when they do fight they do a lot of damage.

That is sad That's what I would've thought too, although they mentioned lawyers just afterwards so maybe its some legal thing (eg. someone sues them if they release it) that they didn't have the finances to deal with. (I don't know if that makes sense, I couldn't really work out how to say what I meant.I guess it also costs a fair bit to advertise and distribute a game though

Thanks a Million: a Free In-Game Item for All!
Nathan replied to Brodo Swaggins's topic in RuneScape News
It would be more difficult for them to do that, since Facebook accounts aren't linked to runescape accounts. I doubt it would be too hard (they could do some sort of email confirmation thing since Facebook is linked to an email) but hard enough that Jagex wouldn't bother. -
That's awesome! If you haven't already have a look at the recruitment guideline topic I made (I would link it but I'm on my iPhone) as well as any of the other topics in the diplomat sub forum that you think might still be relevant. We do need to update it a bit though.

That's basically what they are, the original brand is Weet-bix (no a, although as with most cereals there's a few imitation brands) it's pretty much an Aussie icon (like vegemite)Tbh there only really good if you heat them so there soggy and then cover them in sugar as someone said above.
