October 10th Game ReleasesThere were a LOT of releases today. Care to see a list? Well, according to my sources, about 50,000 games were released today, so I'm only going to show the significant stuff. Here they are! Because who doesn't want to freely fly through space, amiright? Some not so cryptic graffiti. The question is - who wrote it? Dishonored XCOM: Enemy Unknown Fable: The Journey Just Dance 4 Harry Potter Kinect Dragon Ball Z Kinect Code of Princess Retro City Rampage Naught Bear: Panic in Paradise Worms Revolution Walking Dead Episode 4 Machinarium Derrick the Deathfin Sunflowers Warlords Port Royale 3 Borderlands 2: Mechromancer Mass Effect 3: Retaliation Whew, that's a lot of games! And to think that's not even including the minor releases. Around the IndustryPeople wonder what's going on in the world of gaming, so let's dive into some news from around the industry! Dead Space 3 EA has recently released several new screen-shots for their upcoming survival horror game, Dead Space 3. So far it looks pretty good, and it's definitely a game to be excited about if you've been involved with the series at all. We've added a few of the images above for your benefit (and ours)! Ragnarok Odyssey Xseed Games is releasing Ragnarok Odyssey for the PS Vita on October 30th. You can buy the Standard Edition for $39.99 (available in stores, online, and on PSN), or you can buy the Mercenary Edition for $49.99. The Mercenary Edition, as you would expect, comes with bonus in game monster summons, the soundtrack, and a strategy guide. Total Recall and God of War: Ascension The DVD release of the movie Total Recall will have a code for the God of War: Ascension single player demo. The reaction to this has been negative, with people saying Total Recall was a piece of crap. I can't say; I haven't seen it. What are your opinions on these matters? Just beat Dragon's Dogma. Up until the end, its story was all over the place, but the ending was amazing and made up for it.

Hmm...well, I loved it, but you didn't like Dark Souls. The combat is like a mix between that and Dragon Age, with Shadow of the Colossus sprinkled into the boss battles.

Yeah, if I had the choice between the Dawnguard DLC and Artorias the Abysswalker DLC, I would choose the latter. Of course, it would be nice to get the Dawnguard DLC, and I'll probably buy it, but only if it's cheap. -

My wisdom teeth are out, and I feel really numb. My bottom lip feels huge. However, at least I didn't make an idiot of myself. Now, I'm off to play Dragon's Dogma while my hand eye coordination still sucks!

That means someone on that server has unlocked the door to the lair of the "Mad God." That means that a bunch of players will get teleported to his castle to fight him. I usually die in one hit, but that doesn't stop me from participating when I'm summoned!

Keep an eye on your map. The closer to the center you are, the harder the enemies get. Also, you can teleport to the safe zone at any time, so remember to use that as Plan B if things aren't going your way. If you find a valuable item you don't want to lose, you can store it in the GE type area.

A group of developers in the gaming industry are using Kickstarter to fund their new project, simply called Old School Role-Playing Game. The website delivering this news had many positive comments, and I have hope in this title. I pray it comes to Ps3. Surely you have heard of the Kingdom Hearts HD Collection? If you have, you've likely noticed two important titles missing: Kingdom Hearts II and Birth By Sleep. It turns out that Square Enix is strongly considering releasing a second HD collection for the series that involves those two games, and possibly even Dream Drop Distance. Nintendo has put together a new ad campaign called "I'm Not a Gamer." The reception to these ads has been largely negative, with people saying it insults people who are gamers. Get on at the same time as someone else. Then make sure you both enter the same server "cave." Meet at the same part of the map. You can teleport to anyone in the game world.

There is an overworld that is a bit like Runescape's Grand Exchange. That is a single server. On one end, there are 5 caves, each representing a different server and slightly different layout of the world.

I can't stand sports, but I respect English football/American soccer because it brings people together. I feel the same way about the Olympics.My favorite sport to watch is fencing, but I wouldn't call that the "purest" sport by a long shot.As for the purest sport, let's not forget that sports were invented as a way to pit men's survival skills against each other. In that case, the purest sports would be running, archery, swimming, sparring, and other survival skill based events.

Call me a jerk all you want, but I find it a bit sad that video games are so mainstream now. It almost seems like part of the culture was lost, especially since the big and evil businessmen are determined to screw over the hardcore crowd for a quick buck. *cough* Kotick *cough*Sorry about that; I had to get it out of my system. Nice job on the article. I've learned some new things about the industry today. -

We had our own "Olympics" in middle school, and everyone had to participate in at least 3 or so events. I figured shot put would be good because I had above average body strength. I was wrong.On another note, they DID have Guitar Hero and Rock Band, which I thought was kind of cool. The Guitar Hero one was biased, though, as people could choose any song they wanted to. Therefore, the worst GH player I've ever seen chooses Easy and then chooses the longest song in the game.
