  8. Eh, maybe. Don't remember if that's even a ranged spell to be honest. Just try everything you have. If shouting at it doesn't work, spells probably won't anyway.
  9. Of course upgrading RAM is simple in a laptop, but I said that "much," not RAM, lol. It took me 6+ hours just to replace my display and cosmetics are still fucked from it. I think we're talking about two different things. I know there is no way 99.9% of people, including myself, can build a laptop from scratch period, much less at a rate that saves money. Any parts you buy would have to be specifically designed and in production for already existing cases, so there's no escaping a "shit motherboard/power supply/case/etc" that isn't already being used by Dell, HP, etc. PC's are a different story.
  10. Probably doesn't matter, they should all throw things around where they hit. Using the strongest you have is a safe bet either way.
  11. If you're talking about the spider that has a grate in between you and it, you can't reach it. If you're just trying to collect things, try using the Fus-Ro-Dah shout or lightning spells to knock the things down.
  12. Sounds like you need to update Skyrim to the most recent version. If that's already been done, try clearing your cache. Make sure you don't have any leftover files from Skyrim that could be corrupted. If you have any files, back them up and then delete them. If the problem persists you can just add the files back.
  13. Upgrading much is too much of a pain in the ass if it's a laptop. Also, I've never really believed you can save a ton of money by building a PC yourself. The large manufacturers buy things in bulk to the extent that if you wait for a "great" overall deal it will probably be just as good as buying things separately on sale. Of course that's not always the case if you're willing to wait for deals.
  14. I'll probably get a new PC this summer. Tried to buy a Dell Laptop, even though Dell is awful, because due to a mistake they made with coupons you could get an i7 + 12/16 GBs of RAM for like $800. When I finally decided to buy it they had caught on, unfortunately. I always wait for the great deals before buying expensive technology, so that deal is my standard now. Will wait until something that good comes along again, which will probably be this summer. Want more than 8 gigs to future proof it a bit.
  15. The 109 isn't the impressive part. The impressive thing is that I didn't even miss a single KEYSTROKE, out of 543, at over 9 keystrokes per second. That will never happen again. Ever.
  16. Smithing experience is based on the price of the item you create, so whichever costs the most.
  17. Just got a 108 and it didn't save. @_@ Make sure you're always logged in FIRST, I guess.
  18. Too close for comfort. The last 5 or so are really tough, though. I had 100 on my second try and then probably did 5-10 more just to raise it to 102/103. If you guys are having issues saving the score, create an account first and then reload the competition page.
  19. I would shit my pants thinking we were being nuked.

  21. Actually lol'd. To explain this requires a TRR history lesson. Spoogan is the name of the RuneScape account of one of my IRL friends. When he quit RS, he gave me the password, and I used the account to dual-log with mine during TRR's wars. My inability to lead TRR, control my main account, and control Spoogan at the same time led to several incidents with everyone being pissed off at "fucking Spoogan" for appearing totally incompetent. In one war we recorded (or maybe it was a picture), you can see all of TRR piling an enemy with Spoogan hilariously running against a wall in the background. Paul was one of the others who knew that it was actually me trying and failing to control two accounts at once, so after he made some jokes it sort of became a meme between the people who knew. We awarded Spoogan "MVP" of some war and then eventually named some War award after him. It was even better because no one knew who the fuck it was, yet it was never questioned. Recently, the actual owner of the RuneScape account started hanging around here. I don't think anyone actually knows him besides maybe Jake and Blue since they frequent the chat. Same thing here. WWI was literally completely ignored in my school, and it's probably the same across all U.S. public schools. I can only remember the "DONT CARE LOL" Dolphin .gif whenever this conversation comes up, just because of that thread. My main knowledge gap is my complete inability to understand which side of the door you "Push" on to open it, unless it is very clearly marked.
  22. This could bring in more members, that's pretty much the main point of it. Chances of it being successful aren't that great, but eh. $50 is like 5-6 trips to a fast food place. To quote Gimli, "Certainty of death, small chance of success... What are we waiting for?" But yeah, feedback in this thread has been helpful. Probably will just hold off or develop my own shitty version.
