  1. I've read about people having similar issues before but don't have a good solution. It's rare enough that not many people have reproduced it and those that have don't post follow-ups on what they did to fix it (if anything). If you're trying to do a fortify loop/glitch, there is a specific sequence you have to repeat to get it to work. Otherwise here are some sequential troubleshooting thoughts: You've probably already tried this, but take all of the gear off and put it back on again before making more potions. Remake the gear, as you planned, on your current save. If that fails... See if alchemy works as expected on a substantially older save. If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Let us know if you find anything that helps!
  2. It might be a UI bug. Are the numbers still worse after you reload the game? Some ingredients have the same effect but different magnitudes. UESP has a good list. Are you sure you used the same ingredients?
  3. This topic is for questions, suggestions, and theorycrafting revolving around the posted Dragonknight PvE tank build.
  4. UESP has a good list of all the commands.
  5. There's no way to install PC mods to the PS3 version without jailbreaking the system. You'd be far better off just buying the PC version.
  6. The magnitude of the enchantment doesn't matter when you disenchant - the effect is the only thing you get regardless. When you go to enchant something, the strength is based upon several things, such as... Enchanting levelEnchanter PerkSoul GemPotionsFor example, when enchanting apparel, the maximum multiplier with 100 Enchanting, 5 points in Enchanter, the +25% perk, and a Grand soul gem is 3.125x. With potions, it is 4.21875x. tl;dr you have nothing to worry about.
  7. A couple of years back I went through some of the posts I made on the first forum I joined. I'm not positive how old I was, probably 10-12... But yeah, I had to stop reading it after a few minutes because I was cringing so bad. I'm sure I thought I was some sort of clever genius at the time. It's funny how things change. No worries, Delly, we were all there at some point. I don't think you were ever a bad poster anyway; I always got a kick out of them.
  8. Disable the mods in groups and check to see if the issue persists. If it does, disable the next group. When the issue is fixed, you can disable the mods in the larger group one by one until you discover the culprit.
  9. Long time no see! Hope everything is going well with you. (it's Traaginen)
  10. You should contact the author of Puppeteer Master. I don't do cinematics myself so I'm not really familiar with any alternatives. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  11. Does anything happen if you zap Pelegius before the dead bandit chief? Do you have any mods installed? I found one user this issue that had obis, obisdb and bandit patrols installed. If so, disable all of your mods before attempting the quest again. Also, if you do have the PC version, you can skip this portion of the quest with console commands.
  12. Do you have the Dawnguard DLC? That's required since it adds dragonbone weapons to the game.
  13. It sounds like you have some active quests involving him; Vilkas' location can change based on your progress. Check out this page and see if you're currently doing any of the related quests.
  14. Do you have the PC version? If so, enter the following console commands by hitting the tilde (~) key. prid 0001A695moveto playerThat should take you to Vilkas.
  15. Nope. Let me know if you have the PC version; I can give you a command to spawn it.
  16. Suldafn Temple is only accessible once - during the quest The World-Eater's Eyrie. After you enter the portal to Sovngarde, it is impossible to return. Do you have the PC version? If so, there's still hope. You can return to Suldafn using console commands, or even spawn the desired items in your inventory directly.
  17. That's a pretty buggy quest, but I've never heard of this particular issue. First of all, you should verify the integrity of your game cache in Steam. Right click Skyrim in your Steam library and click Properties near the bottom. Go to the Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity of Game Cache...It should tell you if any files were damaged/missing. If all is well with the files and the issue persists, try the following command before leaving on the elevator (note: my memory is foggy, this assumes you're at the stage BEFORE you give the lexicon to Septimus). setstage DA04 30Let me know if it works or not.
  18. Maybe he's upset because his spouse doesn't know his name - Filnjar. On a serious note, some NPCs will say that if another NPC of relevance to them is killed. You said you didn't kill anyone in the dragon attack, but are you sure the dragon didn't?
  19. If you've already killed a re-spawning dragon (i.e. one that stays at word walls) before, killing it again won't give you another dragon soul. Try to kill a dragon that randomly appears in the sky and see if it works then.
  20. From what I remember, you temporarily lose the book during the quest The Gardener of Men. You can loot it back from Storn's corpse after he dies during that quest, so I'd first check Skaal Village and see if you forgot to do that. If it's not there, you can use console commands to retrieve it (assuming you have the PC version).
  21. I can't personally vouch for the guy, but I know Gopher is fairly popular for Skyrim. He doesn't have many short videos, though.
  22. Are you sure that specific command doesn't reset in the same way on your other save files? player.setav commands aren't permanent for everything - only some things - and it's normal for them to reset. There are alternatives to .setav (.modav, .forceav), but they don't add values in the same way. They're also difficult to reset, so I'd advise against using them unless you really understand what they do and what the default values are for whatever you change.
  23. Okay, I think you may have encountered a bug. Here are two things to try... Commit a crime in the area and then clear your bounty. This may reset NPC aggression values. If the above doesn't work and/or if you have the PC version, enter the following console commands before you are attacked (won't work after they start attacking you -- you don't have to be by them to use the console).prid 1a67fsetav aggression 0prid 1a678setav aggression 0
  24. I personally like to max enchanting as soon as possible so I can go through a good chunk of the game feeling like a God.
