Gather my clan mates as I tell the legend that is Blexun, a male of Puerto Rican heritage, on his father's side, who's fame and stories spread far and wide. Although you may not want to, it's in your best interest to hear this tell and get off of Pinterest. The ending may make you cry and yell, but all can learn from this epic tale. We start our story in 2008. Blexun has just started playing Runescape! He's hooked and enthralled. He's having a blast! But one can become bored of adventuring, alas. So in the famous year of 2009 something happened that was most divine. Blexun browsed Zybez, looking for a clan. A fun, friendly clan fit for our man. Dragging his mouse down the scroll bar he stumbled an ad from TRR. Yes, TRR. A clan most delightful. A community clan that he thought was cool. With Tragic and Illini leading the pack, Blexun figured these guys will have his back. So he wrote an application, now this is no myth, with another famous member named Aliath. After a roaches event with Nuggeh and Christine, Blexun thought "Wow. This clan is the scene!" And thus began Blexun's career most bizarre in the clan known as TRR. Blexun become known as a friendly man, making multiple friends throughout the clan. He became a friend to us all, and knew the perfect time to share a lawl. Even in ranks, Blexun didn't mull. He was Events, Diplomat, and even Council. On top of all that, he an avid forum user. Not like all of those rule abusers. Yes, this was Blexun at his peak. A Leader rank, many thought he'd seek. But alas, we all know how Nuggeh kills when Blexun joined Mindmyskillz. Mindmyskillz was a channel in IRC where one can chat with joy and glee. Nuggeh and Blexun used it for lulz and fun. Surely, it was worthy to praise upon. Sadly all good things will be corrupted And so did happened when Isaiah showed up-ed Isaiah, a Mexican, who's a bit of a troll made Blexun laugh. On the floor he did roll! And thus Blexun became indifferent about others, regularly making fun of their mothers. He cut off his friends, like Ozzy and Bgs. The latter was a douche, but I digress. Worst of all, Blexun stopped caring about the clan, focusing more on the good times at hand. He withered away with all the TRR legends, a great man with noble intentions. Blexun played behind the scenes with his lulz until the creation of Elder Souls. There he rose to importance again, giving Skyrim advice, which the site would contain. He helped David write articles most impressive (which he'll get back on once school be successive). Blexun even rejoined TRR, but as a community influence, way too soon for him to start playing since his Runescape days are starting to flee, but he'll still play for the gp. But probably his biggest achievement was the rank of GLOBAL MODERATOR, which was changed to the less impressive title EDITOR. Yes, this is Blexun as we know him well. Could he fall from this success? No way in hell. But we know the name of this ballad, so prepare to make yourself a salad of woe, tears, lettuce, and cheeseas a tell you the ending that won't appease. Anarchy, the leader of TRR now trusted Blexun like a prize winning cow. Thus he made Blexun, with his sword and his shield in charge of managing the Battlefield. This power please Blexun, and made him very charitable even raching Fealty 3 at the clan citadel. But the worse part of the story is on it's way ANARCHY FUCKING TOOK MY POWER AWAY So there you have it, from rags to riches. I hope this story has you in stitches. Blexun used to be great, alive and well! Now all that is left is an empty, emotionless shell. TL;DR Anarchy took my ability to edit and initiate battles and now I'm angry.8 points

Back in the days when gaming was niche, everyone was grouped into one category. If you played video games, you were a gamer. This situation worked fine for a while, but nowadays, nearly everyone plays video games. I would hardly call even half of these people gamers, and therefore I feel there needs to be some categorization. Here are the different types I’ve come up with... The Casual GamerThis person only plays a small handful of games, and he sees gaming as a social experience. Video games play a small role in his life, and he would almost never call himself a “gamer†in public. He usually plays party games on the Wii and cheerful titles that have little difficulty. He (or she) may also play more traditionally “hardcore†games, albeit with an unsusually limited time commitment. How to Find OneVisit your grandparents house and see if they have a gaming console. The most “hardcore†game my grandpa owns is Endless Ocean. Gaming there sure was a joy. The Hardcore GamerThis is the guy you think of when you think “gamer.†He plays many different types of games of many different genres. Gaming plays a very large role in his life, usually as his primary hobby. Gaming is his passion and obsession, and he is proud of it. Many say being a hardcore gamer relies on skill, but I disagree. I say it relies on passion. Passion leads to sinking time into games. This will usually develop skill, but even if it doesn't, the person is still hardcore. How to Find OneGo to the abandoned house down the street. You’ll find the door locked. Sneak inside into the basement. You may find that this house is not actually abandoned; there is likely a pale-skinned man with long hair and fingernails sitting in front of a screen with twitching eyes. Welcome to gaming, my friend. The Genre GamerThis person only plays one type of genre. He loves the genre so much that he prefers to explore every inch of the library it offers, rather than branch off. He spends most of his time playing video games, and is very knowledgeable about his genre. How to Find OneFind a way to access the Hardcore Gamer’s friends list. Scroll through until you find one of his (few) friends that looks like the following. One of them is bound to be a Genre Gamer. The Achievement GamerThis guy only buys games for the achievements/trophies. He tosses the game to the side soon after. He doesn't care how bad the game is, as long as the achievements are easy. However, if someone goes for achievements but doesn't buy the games based on them, he fits into “hardcore†gamer. How to Find OneYou see that full grown man in GameStop buying Hannah Montana: The Movie, Terminator: Salvation, and Disney Pixar’s UP? Now you know why. The MMORPG GamerThis guy spends his days playing an MMORPG like RuneScape or World of Warcraft. This is the only game he plays; after all, he’s paying for a subscription. While having a personality similar to a hardcore or “genre†gamer, he is often considered to be a bit lower on the food chain for not having as much knowledge of the industry. However, he has a lot of knowledge about his particular MMORPG. How to Find OneJoin an MMO, because you will never meet one of these gamers otherwise. They tend to be reclusive with those not of their own kind. The Wannabe GamerThis guy only plays one game. This is not because he is paying for a subscription, but because he thinks his game is the best thing since sliced bread. He refuses to acknowledge any other game in the industry, but calls himself a gamer nonetheless. An example being any kid who plays Call of Duty all day. That is the only game he buys every year, yet he calls himself “hardcore.†These guys are often hated by the more hardcore community for being arrogant sheep. He will praise his game no matter how shallow it is. How to Find OneTry a middle school, high school, or college. These guys are everywhere. They only play Call of Duty and Madden, and maybe some FIFA or Halo. Try suggesting any other game to them. If their first response is “*game* has terrible grafiks and Call o’ Doodie has da best graphics EVAR!!!†you've found your guy. The App GamerPeople who fit into this category often play games like Farmville and Angry Birds. Some of them consider themselves hardcore, because they wake up in the middle of the night to check their crops. Others wouldn't even call themselves gamers. Regardless, I believe they are all in this category, for the sole reason that they don’t seek more substantial experiences. How to Find OneCreate a Facebook and add some women onto it. They will soon spam your inbox with Farmville requests. Yep, that’s social networking for ya. The Online GamerThis gamer’s primary way to play is through online shooters, racing games, action games, or pretty much any game with competitive multiplayer functionality He plays a variety and has a wide palette, but he can’t appreciate the artfulness of the single player experience. He sometimes enters tournaments, but he doesn't count on winning enough to make substantial earnings. How to Find OneDrive to your nearest golf, skating, or go kart area. It doesn't matter really, it just needs laser tag. Sign up for a laser tag match. If no one stands out, sign up again. Eventually, there will be someone who dominates, whether through sniping, ganking, or just run n’ gunning. There’s your online gamer. The Professional GamerThese are those Korean guys you see on TV battling in Starcraft or some other online game. They make their living playing in tournaments. They often specialize in just one game. Their excuse, of course, is that it’s their job. These guys are the cream of the crop; they are gaming’s elite. Their average income is only about 20k a year, however. How to Find OneGo to your nearest arcade, or play a video game that has an arcade mode. Look at the high score table. See that high score? You can guess who set that record. The PC ElitistThese guys are intent on barging into every conversation about consoles to insist that PCs are the best. Well, yeah, guy... We realize PCs are best, but most of us can’t afford them! These guys don’t care. They believe that if you can’t afford a gaming PC, you don’t have a right to game. How to Find OneType into Google “PS3 vs Xbox 360.†You’ll find the professionals siding with the PS3, the fan-boys siding with the 360, and a couple of PC elitists bashing them both. Are they right? Sure, PC is the best. That doesn't mean what they are saying is relevant to PS3 vs Xbox 360. What about You?What category do you fit into? I became a casual gamer in 2003, and became a hardcore gamer in 2009. RPGs became my favorite genre in 2011, but I still play other games, and am therefore still classified as hardcore. Do you have any other categories to add? Leave your thoughts in the comments below! Click here to view the article6 points

A Partial Guide to ESO (as of late January 14): Crafting, Stat Mechanics, Gear, Ability Costs and more… Welcome to a, somewhat, complete guide to the mostly unknown aspects of ESO. There are still many topics that are not covered by this guide; most prominently there is no discussion of abilities in general, no talk of passives, etc because either this information is either freely available somewhere very easily accessible or it is still unknown at this point. What exists in this guide is an explanation of aspects of the game that will interest theory-crafters, actual crafters, and those curious about every bit of information they can get their hands on. This guide also assumes some basic knowledge of the simple mechanics of a traditional Elder scrolls game, like attribute points when levelling up, and does not take the time to explain the very well-known simple mechanics. Apologies in advance if you come across information that is not new for you. This guide will focus on up-to-date information on the following areas of the game: 1/ Crafting and Gear: blacksmithing, enchanting, clothing, alchemy, provisioning and woodworking. Including armour and weapon Traits. 2/ An updated description on Stat mechanics and Stat amounts at lvl 50. A. What happened to power B. The new percentages for Health/Magicka/Stamina regeneration rates C. Base amounts of H/M/S at lvl 50 3/ Ability Cost calculations – what will ability X cost at lvl X 4/ Armour ratings at lvl cap and spell resistance – though no mitigation percentages just yet *Please do not feel you need to read my personal disclaimer that follows below. It is there in case of potential possible NDA disputes.* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personal Disclaimer: I also MUST state that the following information was garnered from other internet sources and is not information attained through my own direct personal involvement with ESO Beta testing. I do not in any way mean to imply or otherwise state that I have involvement with the ESO Beta and furthermore, if I have had involvement, I have not used that potential involvement to collate the information you are about to read but such information has been acquired, reworded and scavenged from numerous internet sources, none of which are directly affiliated with myself and to none of which I have personally contributed. No intention of breaking any possible NDA which I may or may not be under has been made in the making and posting of this material, furthermore, care has been taken to only provide information that is accessible on other external non-affiliated internet sources in the making and at the time of the making of the following informational post, and to not utilise any potential possible personal ESO Beta experiences in deriving said information. Care has been taken that any information that could only be provided through my own potential and possible personal experiences of any ESO beta test, and not capable of being found through another internet source at the time of this posts creation, has not been provided and purposely omitted or avoided in the following post’s content. Whenever and wherever I refer to my own personal knowledge, such as the phrase “not known to meâ€, the intended meaning is that such information is not known to me from my readings of other internet sources found at time of creation of this post, and not intending any personal experience in an ESO beta test and, furthermore, not intending or implying that I am providing information from personal experiences of ESO beta tests. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /1 Crafting, Gear, Enchants and More... (The crafting passive abilities should be updated by now in the datasheet – so I will not discuss those) Blacksmithing, woodworking and clothing all follow similar principles and can be discussed simultaneously as a result. In all three, there are 4 important panels: [*]Creation [*]Improvement [*]Extraction [*]Research Experience is derived from undertaking activities in the first three panels. To make this simple, I will attempt to describe the activities involved in each panel separately in the same order given above. The Creation panel is, of course, used for the crafting of new weapons or armour. There are 4 sliding bars which offer 4 options: [*]Type – this is the type of armour or weapon, for example; axe, gauntlets, helmet, staff, etc. It is important to note here that fire staff, ice staff, lightning staff, etc are all separate types and selecting one of these determines the type of damage your destruction staff uses, in case anyone was wondering how this was achieved. There is no difference in requirements and no need to “learn†these different types. This is the same for all weapons. All characters innately know of all weapon and armour types and it is simply a matter of selecting what you wish to make. [*]Material – so this is X number of Ingots of only one particular ingot type. I.e. 5 Iron ingots is the requirement for an Iron heavy armour chest piece. The material type determines the lvl output of the item. Iron is the lowest lvl output and therefore the least damage or armour. Voidstone ingots are the highest lvl output. Higher level items only require ingots of that level, so there is no need to keep iron ingots for use in the next tier of crafting for example unlike other mmos. [*]Style – Style option allows you to pick the cosmetic style of the item you craft. You can pick no style and have a generic output. Otherwise styles include all the racial styles, and other styles from previous elder scrolls games such as Imperial, Reach and Daedric. To select a style type, one must have the correct ingredient (for example, one piece of Manganese for Orc style) and have learnt the style. To learn a style involves the research panel I believe in the same way as traits are learnt (pls correct me in comments if not and I will edit) and this is discussed below. [*]Trait – Traits are perhaps the most crucial aspect that one will think about before hitting the create button. This determines your weapon or armour’s trait which all provide a certain benefit to your character. One-handers, two-handers and Armour all have slightly different traits that one can choose between. To pick and use a trait for your armour or weapon, you must have first learnt the trait through the research panel (discussed below) and have the appropriate item. For example, the Divines trait requires a Sapphire. You can, of course, also have no trait. Only one trait can exist one a single item. The following traits are available for selection: Armour Traits (including shields): i. Sturdy – X% to avoid decay when defeated (maximum 54%) (Yes, armour/weapons need repairing on defeats) ii. Impenetrable – Increase resistance to critical hits by X (maximum 210 I believe) iii. Reinforced - Increases total Armour and Spell resistance by X% (maximum 19%) iv. Well-fitted – Reduces the cost of Sprinting by X% (21% maximum) v. Training – Increases armour skill line experience with this armour type by X% (maximum 21%) vi. Infused – Increase armour enchantment effect by X% (maximum 21%) vii. Exploration – Increase exploration experience gained by X% (maximum 21%) viii. Divines – Increase Mundus stone effects by X% (maximum 38%) One-handed Weapon Traits: i. Powered – Reduces the cooldown of weapon enchantments by X% (maximum 74%) ii. Charged – Increases enchantment charges by X% (maximum 49%) iii. Precise – Increases weapon and spell critical values by X% (maximum 27%) iv. Infused – Increase weapon enchantment effect by X% (37% maximum) v. Defending – Increases total Armour and Spell resistance by X% (maximum 21%) vi. Training – Increases weapon skill line experience with this weapon type by X% (maximum 21%) vii. Sharpened – Increase Armour and Spell Penetration by X% (maximum 19%) viii. Weighted – Increase weapon attack speed by X% (maximum 27%) Two-handed weapons (includes staves and bows) i. Powered – Reduces the cooldown of weapon enchantments by X% (maximum 74%) ii. Charged – Increases enchantment charges by X% (maximum 49%) iii. Precise – Increases weapon and spell critical values by X% (maximum 27%) iv. Infused – Increase weapon enchantment effect by X% (37% maximum) v. Defending – Increases total Armour and Spell resistance by X% (maximum 21%) vi. Training – Increases weapon skill line experience with this weapon type by X% (maximum 43%) vii. Sharpened – Increase Armour and Spell Penetration by X% (maximum 19%) viii. Weighted – Increase weapon attack speed by X% (maximum 54%) (The only differences between two-handers and one-handers regarding traits is the maximum % increases in the Training and Weighted traits). Research – The research panel allows you to select a piece of armour or weapon that you have acquired on your travels and learn the trait on that piece. You must research every available trait to be able to use it in crafting. For example, I have a shield with a trait that has “Increase armour enchantment effect by 7%â€. I select it on the research panel and the trait “Infused†becomes available for research. I then hit the research button which, at base level, takes 6 hours to research. Once this time expires, I have learnt the Infused trait for all future crafting. The item is destroyed in the process, and each trait must be researched for each type of item for future crafting of the trait for that type or armour or weapon. Improvement – The improvement panel is similar to using a grinding stone in Skyrim in principle. That is, you use it to improve the base armour rating or weapon damage of your item. To refine an item requires a particular item that grants X% chance to refine something into another level of quality. There are 5 levels of quality: [*]Normal – all items you craft start this way [*]Fine – green colour text indicates this level [*]Superior – blue colour text indicates this level [*]Epic – purple colour text indicates this level [*]Legendary – gold/yellow colour text indicates this level I am not aware of whether or not improving an item’s quality also increases the strength of its trait or enchantment. My educated estimate at the moment would be that it does not. For every improvement item used you get +20% chance at improving the weapon or armour piece you have selected, up to 100% if 5 items are used. To demonstrate the process of improving, I will use the following example: Timmy wants to refine his Iron battle Axe. He goes to a blacksmithing station and selects the improvement panel. He then selects his Iron Battle Axe which is of normal quality. He seeks to Improve it to fine quality but to do so he needs to use at least one “Honing Stoneâ€. Fortunately, he has two in his bag. He uses both giving him a 40% chance to improve his axe to fine quality. He hits the improve button and is successful. Timmy’s Iron Battle Axe is now in green text and has more damage. However, this did not save him from being devoured by the Daedric Titan he encountered on his way home. Extraction – The extraction panel is used to deconstruct an item in order to gain experience for your blacksmithing, clothing or woodworking. Some items grant more experience than others depending on degree of quality, rarity, etc. Some even have a trait called “Intricate†which increases the inspiration (or experience since that is what inspiration equates to in game) that you receive from deconstructing said item. (I don’t think this trait is craftable). In addition to experience, you also gain materials with some small chance of recovering a style or trait crafting item from the deconstruction. Weapons that would be made from iron, of course, only have a chance at giving iron ingots. You get the point. And, obviously, the item is destroyed in the process. The construction of Jewelry items is not known to me. It also involves traits though. However, the jewellery traits are indeed quite different to those I have listed for armour and weapons. For example; Healthy – Increases maximum Health by X. Arcane – Increase maximum Magicka by X. Of particular note and interest is the fact that not all traits seem craftable. Well, not from what I know. I have already given “Intricate†as an example. Another is “Ornate†which states: Sells to merchants for X% more. This also leads on to the question – are all enchantments one finds on items picked up in the open world available for learning and using on future crafted items or are some never able to be crafted? Guess time will tell with that one. Now, on to the other three crafting types… And in less detail. Alchemy Alchemy is rather more simple in the manner it works or so it seems. You have one panel – the creation panel – in which you make all your potions. To make a potion, one does not need a recipe, but instead uses 1 “solvent†and 2 “reagents†to randomly create a potion. That is all I know of this process. No potion recipes seen as yet. Solvents and reagents are found in the open world or bought from vendors. Creation grants experience. You can find out the first effect of a plant by using it. An example of a potion: “Sip of Magicka†is a lvl 2 potion which does the following: Restore 24 Magicka immediately. Restore an additional 20 Magicka over 10 seconds. (30 second cooldown). Provisioning There are two panels involved – Brewing and Cooking. Under both panels are the recipes you have learnt and each require a minimum of two ingredients either found in the open world or through vendors. Crafting a food item or a drink grants experience. Provisioning is rather simple in the way it works though not complaining. Food seems to give decent buffs for the lvl it is for. As an example, look at the following recipe found at lvl 3: “Capon Tinish Recipeâ€: Increase Max health by 42 for 35 minutes (5 second cooldown). That is a buff of at least 25% to total health – not bad. Not sure how recipes at lvl 50 end of business scale though. I believe you can have both one drink and one food item consumed and active in effect at the same time, but this is not confirmed. Enchanting There are two panels involved – Creation and Extraction. Creation requires 3 different types of ingredients. These are 1 “Potency†type runestone, 1 “Essence†type runestone and 1 “Aspect†type runestone. Without 1 of each, you cannot craft a Glyph. Glyphs are items that can be applied to weapons, armour and jewelry in order to grant the item an enchantment. Each item may be able to have more than one enchantment applied from use of more than one Glyph. At the moment, examples have been done where two glyphs have been used to give two different +X damage enchantments on the same weapon (i.e. + X fire damage and + X poison on the same bow). Higher level Glyphs may yield more than one effect but that remains to be seen. An example of a Glyph is “Trifling Glyph of Reduce Spell Cost†which does the following: Reduce magicka cost of spells by 3. Extraction panel allows you to select a glyph you have made or found and extract either a aspect, potency or essence runestone from it. It also grants experience in the process and, of course, destroys the glyph. Glyphs have a type indicated in the top left corner of their description: “jewelryâ€, “armour†or “weaponâ€. Obviously, these can only be applied to their specific item type. Glyph effects include the following examples: Deal X Frost damage (weapon), Deal X fire damage (weapon), Deal X shock damage (weapon), Deal X irresistable damage (weapon), Add X max magicka (armour), Add X max health (armour), Add X max stamina (armour), Reduce stamina cost of abilities by X (Jewelry). Reduce magicka cost of spells by X (Jewelry), Add X magicka regeneration (Jewelry). Some examples of found enchantments on randomly picked up gear: Reduce cost of Dodge Roll by X% (Armour), Grant a X point damage Shield for X seconds (weapon) and Deal X magic damage and recover X health (weapon). Some Enchantments have an unknown cooldown – the X point damage shield example being an obvious one. They literally trigger every X seconds while in combat. This is affected by the weapon trait “Powered†that reduces such cooldowns. Others such as “Adds X max health†are always active so long as the item is equipped and its charge has not been depleted. Every enchanted item loses charge with time in combat and requires recharging using a filled soul gem. This is very similar to the concept in previous elder scrolls games. A depleted enchantment charge bar indicates the enchantment is no longer functioning. Whether a glyph can grant more than one effect as a single enchantment at higher lvls is not known to me. /2 Stat Mechanics Stat Mechanics: The following are the stats listed on the character panel so far: Max Magicka; Max Health; Max Stamina; Spell Damage; Spell Critical; Spell Resistance; Magicka Recovery; Health Recovery; Stamina Recovery; Weapon Damage; Weapon Critical; Armour. The important things to note is that there is no “Power†stat. Instead the “power†stat which originally determined weapon damage, spell damage and outgoing healing has now been split and included in the functions of Max Stamina and Max Magicka. Some abilities and descriptions will still refer to “powerâ€, however, but will clearly imply whether the “power†increase is an increase to spell damage, outgoing healing or weapon damage. Max magicka now reads as: “Determines how many spells you can cast and how effective those spells are. Magicka regenerates slowly over time and can be restored in combat by using a potionâ€. Max Stamina now reads as: “Determines weapon damage and weapon ability damage. Sprint, bash and sneak all consume stamina. Stamina regenerates slowly over time and can be restored in combat using a potionâ€. Max Health now reads as: “The amount of damage you can take in combat. Health regenerates slowly over time and can be restored in combat by healing or using a potionâ€. The next point is quite interesting and is a deviation of the original information first released on the web about how regeneration works. Originally it was assumed or told that the values for regeneration meant how much per second was regen’d. However, the descriptions of Magicka/Stamina/Health Recovery all read as: “When in combat, you regenerate X Magicka/Stamina/Health every two secondsâ€. Yeah, every TWO seconds! Not per second as once thought. In addition, the values for regeneration rates were once told to be that every character regenerated 3% of max magicka/health/stamina per second while in combat. Number extrapolations now put regeneration as: In combat regeneration of stamina = 5.5% max stamina every TWO seconds. In combat regeneration of Health = 2.4% max health every TWO seconds. In combat regeneration of magicka = between 4 to 5% max magicka every TWO seconds.* * now magicka numbers seem a bit strange at the moment so the estimate lies safely between 4-5% and that is very certain to be the case but not the exact digits yet like the other two. This new information on regeneration rates makes theory-crafting quite a bit different now… And yes, health regen is quite a bit lower than the other two and all stats are per every 2 seconds – an important thing not to forget when doing build calculations! Base amounts of the 3 main stats are as follows at lvl 1: Magicka: 100 Health: 150 Stamina: 100 And at lvl 50 they are: Magicka: 1080 Health: 1130 Stamina: 1080 And, yes, each stat seems to increase by 20 points per level (not including the points you place into each using the attribute point you get per level of which there are 49) Attribute points into one stat I believe are still capped at no more than 30 into one stat. For every attribute point placed into both Magicka and Stamina, you receive +10 to either your total magicka or stamina. However, for every attribute point placed into Health, you receive +20 to your total health. /3 Ability Costs Ability Costs: There seems to be an accurate formula for solving how much any given ability will cost (either cost in stamina or magicka) at any level so long as you know what the ability costs at level 1. The equation is: The ability cost at lvl ( X ) = The cost of the ability at lvl 1 + (The cost of the ability at lvl 1) x ( X - 1 ) 7 Hence at lvl 50, an ability costs = The cost of the ability at lvl 1 x 8. At other levels, round the number you get down to the lowest whole number to get the true cost since ESO does not use any fractions or non-whole numbers. (Which is nice and simple) As an example, at lvl 50: Immovable costs = 448 stamina (It also provides +850 armour and spell resistance at that lvl) /4 Armour and Spell Resistance Info Armour Ratings and Spell Resistance: At lvl 50 each armour type gives the following armour rating for wearing a full set of each (all 7 pieces): Light armour = 785 Medium Armour = 1180 Heavy Armour = 1461 You must note that this is the total of gear that is crafted lvl 50 rank 10 elite AND of normal quality (so not improved by crafting). No idea on percentage mitigations yet. Base Spell resistance for every character at lvl 50 is NOT determined by armour amount and is NOT determined by any stat so far. It is rather surprising, but your base Spell Resistance is determined purely by what level your character is. And then modified by passives, gear that adds X spell resist, armour traits, etc. So the base spell resistance of every character at lvl 50 = 1100 (It starts at 120 at lvl 1 and increases by 20 per level gained) -------------------------------------------- And that is the end of my guide to ESO so far. Hope it helped. Will add to it either here or in a new post if more information becomes available to me. Post corrections in the comments if you know of any. Thanks Guys. *Special thanks to Ghost5689 for making certain things possible. He knows what I mean. **Extra thanks also should go to Musclemagic and Irons, though they may not have had direct contribution or involvement in the making of this post, their discussions and assistance in past moments aided indirectly. ***Note: None of the aforementioned people who I thanked broke any possible NDAs they may or may not be under to help in the making of this post. **** Thanks to Hans for corrections that have now gone into this edited second release of the post. Internet was down for a 5 days. I come back to this topic. A lot of crap I wished I could of said, but way toooooo much to bring up and comment on now. I guess it's time for...... BLEXUN'S 5 COMMENTS!!!! [*]Glad to see the creation of this topic. Although I can see how this can be seen as a "stupid" way to end the clan, even though it was never an official end to the clan, similar topics have bolstered activity for awhile. [*]OMFG IT'S HENRY!#!#!#@!@!#@!#!#@! [*]Well I'm the only moderator, so I guess I'm the one guilty of moderating abuse. If you are referring to me closing your topic for posting in the wrong forum, then I'm guilty. If you are referring to me wishing you luck in finding a mature clan with members such as yourself, then no, that isn't moderation abuse. Neither is the other thing, but I digress. [*]GUISE FORBIDDEN RETRIBUTION IS 0UR RIVALS [*]I guess everybody is to blame, more or less. I know I've been lazy on the TRR side of things, though I've been focusing on ElderSouls. So naturally, I'm aiming for TRR leader. Comments? So let's put all the negative things that were said behind us and focus on a brighter tomorrow. Don't pretend you weren't moved.5 points

The Runescape Rebelz, 2009-2012 by MstrMonopoly What's the greatest story ever told, you ask? Well, I don't know a single epic saga greater than the one The Runescape Rebelz have provided. Now, you might be calling me crazy - this is a world in which the Lord of the Rings exists, after all. But after you read these stories, you'll probably consider the Lord of the Rings to be crappy shit all too obsessed with elves. I joined this clan in June 2009 - one of three notable members to join on the same day, along with a temperamental British guy named Master_Liono and some rich guy who had 99 RC before RuneSpan, Moghadasian. Both of these guys always showed up to wars, so they're cool in my book. But for the first three months of my TRR tenure, I basically only hung around in the Clan Chat - after three months, I only had 40 posts or so on the forums, almost all of them "gratz" or some stupid spam like that. Some of the more notable members I met at the time were Blexun, back when he was nice to everyone, and Nuggeh, a beloved level 3 skiller, back when he was just three years old instead of four. Together, we formed the epic IRC channel #mindmyskillz, an IRC whose fortunes paralleled those of TRR's, but with a lot more lulz and a lot more Edwin. Later invites to #mindmyskillz included WilsonsWar and Isaiah_T. Seriously, everything fun and noteworthy happened in IRC. After about three months, I got promoted to events team after being heartily encouraged by David. I still didn't use the forums that much, but that changed after I started posting lots of reflections. It was around this time that major drama started going down. One of the Council members, Lord_Caspen, who everyone hated because he always bragged about his stats despite the fact that his account was given to him, plus he was a roleplaying douchebag, started stirring up some trouble. Caspen never really worked and was more famous for the phrase "Hail and well met, friend [x]," which was parodied mercilessly by the denizens of #mindmyskillz after Caspen's departure. Anyway, Caspen got in a serious feud with Illini, the old leader of TRR that happened when Caspen's even more retarded friend Wil_0rtiz started claiming that all poor people were dumb. When Illini understandably attacked Mr. 0rtiz for this, Caspen appealed to TRR's other founder, Traaginen. Unfortunately, Caspen and David were also in a fight because David had told him that a roleplaying requirement for the clan was retarded. Caspen then quit in a huff. I don't have the picture on me, but Caspen was a ginger also. Anyway, Caspen's welcome departure from the clan opened up a Council spot for a hard-working Events Team member named MstrMonopoly. I joined Blexun and a southerner fond of using the n-word, Jaker-out, on the Council. Needless to say, I was the only one who was really doing good work on the Council at the time, but we also had two excellent leaders in Jamie and Blue_Speed, both of whom were very charismatic and knew how to inspire a clan. We also had two other extremely important members, Allan, our webmaster, and Henry, our resident troll. Allan, to put things simply, knew his shit. Although he could be a bit of a big spender when it came to web hosting, and always changed his mind on which hosting service the Rebelz should use, he was undeniably a smart guy. Then, there was Henry. To be honest, I could write about Henry more than pretty much anyone else in this clan. Not only was Henry a great council member and probably one of the two best warrers TRR has ever had (the other being Drags, who won war MVP with excellent binding more often than probably anyone else), he was also a masterful troll. I remember one incident with an emo kid named Ninja who basically spammed the clanchat with crummy stuff related to his problems. Basically, Henry flamed him out of the clan chat. While this may have been bad for Ninja's life, it was great for the clanchat and Rebel life and clanchat flourished throughout late 2009 and early 2010. There was another member of less import to the clan's history but of much greater import to clan culture - Pkth4tn3l50n, or Nelson. Nelson was often ridiculed for his stupidity and constant bragging, but truth be told he was a hilarious guy, despite being banned at least three times from the clan. The first helped lead to the split between Caspen and David, because Caspen hated Nelson and the clan leaders Jamie and David honestly didn't mind his particular brand of marijuana-drenched humor. And the second incident led in part to the first great schism of TRR. It happened when Nelson got on Jamie's account and kicked people who insulted him from the clan chat for an hour. While this was undeniably a clusterfuck, it further highlighted the differences in leadership style between David, a natural taskmaster, and Jamie, who was far more laidback. In March 2010, discontent between TRR's leader, Jamie, and its founder, David, led directly to the first and at least second most successful TRR breakway clan, Blessed Hunters (BH). BH had strong support from TRR's webmaster, Allan, and a couple of critical members including Jaker-out and Nelson. However, BH ultimately proved to be non-threatening to TRR (its members still hung out frequently in TRR IRCs and the clan-chat) and would often invite TRR members to its events. After a month, BH dissolved because there wasn't really enough to differentiate itself from TRR, although it did run a fair number of events and attract a few high level players. Most BH members, like Nelson, Yailux, and Allan (who never really left) came back to TRR. The others, like Jamie, disappeared for a while. We were running on a one-leader system. The thing was, though, that leader wasn't Blue. It was me. After Blue joined the army and thus had less time to fake fight dragons, David noticed that we had run out of leaders and promoted me. In addition, David stepped into more of an active role as clan leader. There was a problem with TRR at the time, though. The usual pre-summer lull hit and suddenly we were left with all of one member doing work, the Councilman RaianTFallen, formerly of the recruitment team. Raian was another emo kid but one who could be counted on to provide a solid job when necessary. It thus must have been a shock to him when, after approximately two weeks, David and I decided to fire pretty much everyone on the staff as part of a clean-up and allow them to reapply for their positions. This move backfired, as Raian got peeved and formed his own clan, Stricken By Fate (SBF). Stricken By Fate had the backing of longtime hilarious member Aliath and his goon, Techy, who was mean to me for no good reason. It's probably because I associated with Blexun and Techy hated Blexun. This goes back to another time when Techy, Blexun, Aliath, and a guy named Shampooninja were best of friends and had a League of Evil that was funny when Shampy was there but unfunny when he wasn't and in general fell apart and it was like Sex and the City only the actors were more bangable. But that's before my time, and it may surprise some of you but for most of my tenure here I pretty much felt like a newbie. Anyway, SBF managed to pull in Morkid, this awesome Israeli guy who I thought would never betray us. However, after pulling in some of the obvious defectors like Starchar, a guy who hung around on ET doing literally nothing for 2 years, SBF fell apart and became Epitaph, a new clan that made Aliath co-leader. As with all Aliath clans, it, too, fell apart, and the members who joined came crawling back to rejoin the Rebelz juggernaut. Through all this turmoil, TRR was still going strong - hey, it was summer 2010, after all, TRR's never had a bad summer. We had an impressive new ET - led by the infamous Bgs1977. Bgs, better known as Jeremy, was an extremely active Events Team member, probably the best I've ever had as a leader in TRR. We also had a bunch of good recruiters at the time, led by Fergal, a kid who at 12 was more mature than another member, Delroth, will be at 40. The core staff was firing on all cylinders as we barged through the summer. We were averaging 30-40 topics that had been bumped in the past 24 hours, often pulled 30-40 or more to wars, and had consistent events for the first time in TRR's history - many created by BGS, who even on council was creating 3 events a week. It was a renaissance period for TRR, and one of the few times we went basically without major drama. Sure, there was Nelson, and the constant fighting with Ancient Legion (for those of you who don't know, AL is our rival clan. They are obsessed with disqualifying us based on retarded technicalities and then when we try to do it, they laugh and claim they would have won anyway. Seriously, those guys are idiots, and warring them just for the fun of watching their post-war reaction was priceless) but TRR stayed mostly stable throughout the summer. Sadly, all good things have to come to an end. Despite Jeremy's terrific work ethic and mostly on-point liberal commentary, he had a weakness - a weakness for pornography. Jeremy propositioned pretty much every member of the clan he knew well for nudes, guys and girls alike. He became obsessed with this one girl from the Netherlands, PureUranium, and it was this struggle that ultimately defined Jeremy's tenure as a Council member. Although Jeremy's behavior was tolerated to an extent because of his productivity, he did two things that crossed the line - one, he propositioned nudes from someone he didn't know well and caused them basically to quit the clan, and two, he posted pornography in #rebelz after David and I speciifically told him not to. This led to Jeremy's first firing from Council. However, we did not tell Jeremy that he could never be Council again. And thus the Lorena saga started. Maybe it was the fact that she had pretty blue eyes. Maybe it was the fact that she was a "lying, scheming bitch." Maybe it was the fact that she had tits and played Runescape. Whatever the reason, TRR fell head over heels for her in October 2010. And when I say TRR, I mean Jeremy, Delly, and IRC stalwart xdan. While Delly's involvement with Lorena was never serious because of his high, girlish Scottish voice and his preoccupation with kilts, the fight between xdan and Jeremy led to a serious rift in clan relations. Jeremy became increasingly depressed, planning to commit suicide multiple times, and listening to Frank Sinatra on repeat for hours. Meanwhile, Lorena continued to lead him on. This only worsened Jeremy's depression. Soon, it was revealed that a fourth player had staked a claim to Lorena's heart - Allan. Somehow, Allan obtained a sexually graphic (but not nude) picture of Lorena and it got reposted endlessly by Jeremy, Dan, Delly, and yeah, a fucking fifth dude, Ozzy_Rules_U. Ozzy, also known as Carter Weinman, was honestly a decent person most of the time, until later, and you'll find out about that. While this was all fine and dandy as long as it was going on in private channels, a fight over Lorena ensued. Allan presented himself as a man above this chaos but he was really interested in her too. The main players, however, were Jeremy and Dan, and Jeremy once again posted nude pictures of girls in #rebelz. For any other member, this probably would have earned a slap on the wrist. Hell, Allan linked to pornography literally the day before. I realize now that this was a double standard and letting go of things, especially considering Jeremy's precarious mental state at the time, was the best idea. However, the fact stands that David and I had repeatedly warned Jeremy not to get involved with nudes at the time, so we demoted Jeremy back to member. Again, we told him that he could work his way back up to High Council, but this time he was having none of it, and sulked around a few more days before forming what was probably the most successful TRR branchoff and what probably helped kill it temporarly, The Legacy of Legends (TLoL). Both Fergal and Jeremy were very popular members and when they formed their clan a lot of TRR members joined TLoL. TRR and TLoL were always at odds with each other and we both sort of hated each other. This was because TRR felt that TLoL was actively recruiting from TRR (which they were at some point) and because TLoL thought that this was justified if people were sick of TRR (which some people were). Anyway, Jeremy and Fergal ran the clan starting in October 2010. For a while, the rivalry ignited both clans - activity was high on the forums, and good ol' one-upsmanship kept events and recruitment running. Then, the winter hit. Usually, winter coincides with a decline in activity anyway. However, this time it was even worse than usual due to the TRR player-base being split up between TRR and TLoL. Events basically ceased functioning, and recruitment dried up. In addition, I grew really busy with other commitments and resigned my leadership position in TRR, and the loyal council member Terravilla replaced me as clan leader. I don't know much about the next three months or so but what I do know is that TRR was largely dead when I came back. When I DID come back, I found that both TRR and TLoL were in a pretty bad place. TRR was arguably worse at this point, actually. Although tLoL didn't have much clan chat activity, TRR didn't even have a set of forums. It was around this time that in a fit of desperation, David and I promoted Delroth to Council - and lo and behold, he actually did some legit work the first week he was on the Council. Fortunately, TRR got back together just in time for summer, and thankfully another old member came back to provide some posts - T_ranger101, who basically was the events team for a good part of the summer of 2011. It was at this time that relations between TRR and tLoL really turned sour. This was because of three incidents, and I will share the blame between TRR and TLoL because it's only fair. 1. TLoL somehow recruited the traitor Just_Kaiden into being a mole Without Fergal's knowlege, Jeremy decided to get a leg up on TRR by recruiting TRR Council holdover Kaiden to his cause. During this time, Jeremy stole a fuckton of Council logs and found out that 2. TRR made a note to poach StarTrip back from tLoL StarTrip, otherwise known as one of the top 5 recruiters in TRR history, had fled to tLoL because, yeah, TRR's forums blew up. TRR always wanted StarTrip back because we felt he had left during a time of confusion, and tLoL always felt the opposite. 3. Ozzy Ozzy defected from TRR to TLoL because he was promised a ranking position. This is why no one likes him. He also made a big shitstorm out of the decision, in similar fashion to LeBron James's "The Decision," and in the end Ozzy won zero rings. Anyway, TRR and tLoL hated each other at this time. TRR had overtaken TLoL in terms of activity by midsummer due to its larger base of past players, though, and the IRC, once tLoL's main hangout due to their spammers Jeremy and Fergal, had started to decline in membership and activity, and was mostly limited to ranking members. Relationships started to ease up, especially between the leaders of the clan. The most important returnee besides T_ranger was CrazyCow, who quickly became council and helped with the administration of the clan. He was a decent Council member over the summer but then he left due to school around November. Then Heated Deus flipped his shit for no apparent reason. He bitched and moaned about literally everything, especially when we found out Kaiden was the mole. We had ignored the incident for a while because who gives a shit, and eventually we found out it actually was Kaiden because the only other possible person was Delly and Delly is too retarded to do anything. Basically, Deus bitched about us demoting Kaiden even though it was clear Kaiden was the mole and then he quit. The Deus incident somehow managed to fire up tensions. It was at this time that I casually mentioned to my brother that I wouldn't mind if tLoL's website was completely destroyed. I shouldn't have said that. By the time August rolled around, TRR and TLoL were on the best of terms, helped by a girl named Emily who literally everyone liked - it was a wonder she didn't become another Lorena. It's probably because Emily wasn't a complete manipulatory bitch. Anyway, Emily's parents were crazy and right after she entered into a fateful e-relationship with Jeremy they took her internet away. Jeremy was left in a state of ruin. And then my birthday rolled around. I take full responsibility for the actions of my brother on my birthday, and I am completely fine with tLoL members blaming me for this. Basically, he hacked LeBrozzy and used his account to seriously fuck up tLoL's website. This was more symbolic than anything, though (and Fergal can back me up here). tLoL got a new website. The most important thing to take away from that mishap is that tLoLers got sick of the drama and quit. This, combined with Jeremy's mental state because of the loss of Emily and Fergal's decreased activity because of school effectively killed TLoL. Fergal later returned to lead us.5 points

Oh. My. Fucking. God. I can't breathe. Give me like a minute.Okay. I narrowed down who all of you should, and are going, to vote for. I need this, guys.Brandy-A circus firebreather and a recovering drunk? Kind of lame. Don't vote for her. She is only firemaking as a result of her being a drunk, kind of like Illini.Kicha-Not really for a firemaker who is clumsy. She seems like an uncoordinated loser, kind of like Illini.Ashe-Obsessed with ashes? If you ignore my suggestion, at least don't ignore this one. DO NOT VOTE FOR ASHE. Ashes are my least favorite part of firemaking. They are just pasty white piles of a useless substance, kind of like Illini.Nova-Likes to firemake, but refuses to get her hands sooty? Also, she's rich. Sounds like a bitch. I'm not gonna support voting for somebody who doesn't want to get black junk all over her hands, kind of like Illini.Mayerda-Only likes the cozy parts of firemaking and also a cooker? Horrible. Her intentions are hidden, so I'm guessing slut, kind of like Illini.Sera-She wants to out do Vulcan. YYYEEESSS. I never liked him. When I needed him, he would wonder in the woods and it would take me like 30 minutes to find him. When I did, I couldn't get his armor and he would only sell me tinderboxes. I think Sera is our best choice. She sounds awesome and is our best choice, kind of like David.5 points

I'm not a fan of bookmarks, especially the internet bookmark tab. Sure, it helps keep track of some important links, but for the most part, Firefox points me in the right direction automatically. So what do I use my bookmark list for? Lulz sites. Sites I don't normally go to unless I need a giggle. So I thought I'd share a few, and by few I mean all of them. Hiyoooo! Have you ever told the best joke ever, but nobody laughed at it? Well, maybe it wasn't the best joke ever. Maybe it wasn't even that funny. Maybe you didn't really say it out loud. But they would have laughed had they heard it! Well... Maybe there is no "they" because you are home alone right now when you thought of a joke, but you didn't say anything cause you have no friends. Oops. I made myself sad. Pretend You're Xyzzzy In case you haven't heard, Cards Against Humanity is a hell of a game. Have you ever played Apples to Apples? Well, imagine Apples to Apples had a dark, sick, and twisted cousin, and that is what Cards Against Humanity is. Well, there happens to be a website for that game. While the site is still under development, and for some reason is called Pretend You're Xyzzzy, this game is worth the lulz if you play it with friends. Still, the actual card game is worth getting if you have horrible and hilarious friends. Hey, what's gooooin' on? Heyyeyaaeyaaaeyaeyaa Click that link right now and let it be background music for this topic. Fits the mood perfectly, am I right? Saw this posted in Imgur and knew it was a keeper. I could type pages on this video/song, but I'll let He Man speak for himself. PostedVia Facebook can get bland and downright depressing. If you ever want to post in style, give this little website a shot. Simply log into Facebook, post a status, and choose what "method" you want to post it by. Personally, I'm a fan of "The Afterlife." The Fucking Weather It is nice to know the weather ahead of time when you live in an apartment far away from your school. But all of the other weather websites are too... vanilla... for my taste. Which is why I love The Fucking Weather. It starts off my day by kicking my ass and telling me exactly what I'm thinking about. Procatinator If you are like me, then the internet supplies you with 3 things your life desperately needs: boobs, cats, and music. Here is a website that combines all... Well, the last two. There is a website called kitties and titties, but I decided not to share it (officially).Kick Ass Have you ever been browsing a forum and you really hate this one poster? I mean, RREEEAAAALLLY hate the poster. Maybe you despise a whole website. Either way, this app is for you. Oh, young Tristan. You have much to learn. Likes aren't something to be clicked needlessly. Oh no, far from it. Likes are gifts; miracles that only the lucky can collect. If you try to fish for them, you shall fail. Not saying you are fishing for them of course. Just saying likes are rare, and as with all rare things, encouraging the mass collection of such isn't necessarily in our best interests. What is that? You want to know how you can increase your chances to obtain these likes? Well normally I wouldn't devulge such information, but this convoluted conundrum as whetted my appetite. Blake's Guide to Internet Karma Mention your genitals. This is guranteed to work 45% of the time. Penis Write in a manner that is serious/satirical/jokingly/incomprehensible Inside jokes are a dependable source for likes. So can you believe Henry was an Asian? Length is important, but not to the point it is hard to look at. Use a lot of spaces inbetween small paragraphs. Make lists. And there you have it, young Tristan. That will put you on the path towards likes, 100% satisfaction guaranteed!* Of course if you are a female, there is only one thing you need to do. Constantly call attention to the fact you are a girl, say stupid things, and mention your breasts and/or genitals. Eldersouls isn't responsible for any likes you don't recieve while following this advice. Eldersouls isn't responsible for any injuries, public embarassment, or the like that may result in mentioning your genitals. Eldersouls isn't approved by the USDA. Use responsibility.4 points

All of you criticizing this should note that you are watching footage of a game under NDA clearly in an incomplete area of the game.. All feed back from PAX.. and the focus groups (Guildleaders/MMO veterans) that zenimax invited had nothing but positive feed back, because they were playing areas of the game in which Zenimax had completed.. judging the whole game by what you see in a leaked video, that should of never been leaked as this person is under NDA is completely stupid.. The first person seen in this video should not be taken as final product.. Zenimax has not yet confirmed completion of it, as for the graphics seen in this video.. this person is playing on the low settings, and is using a terrible recording software.. Also there are probably missing textures not yet added into the game. I'm not a fan boy.. i'm simply defending a game that is getting bad rep by footage of an incomplete area of the game while the game was under NDA, and don't want people to assume that this is the final version of ESO.4 points

So today I walked into my English class and discovered that we were going to be spending the whole day setting up a Wordpress blog for ourselves for future assignments. I figured that since we're in the year 2013 the majority of college students would be quite familiar with the whole process and I was up for a pretty slow lecture. I was wrong. As my professor began walking us through the process of how to create a Wordpress account - yes, seriously, this story begins with typing in your email address and hitting a button - shit immediately hit the fan. A good 40% of our class was unable to successfully complete this task, and "Teh sitez is broken z0mg LEL!1" rang throughout the classroom. As the class continued, more and more people became lost as my professor explained the basic processes of things like making a post, clicking a check-box for privacy, and making a title. To give you examples of the sort of things I was listening to while this was all going on, I began jotting down actual quotes in my notebook (instead of, you know, taking class notes)... "How do you get to your own blog again?" "How do you get the link in your email?" "What is a URL?" "Where do you get the URL?" Keep in mind that these are actual quotes. I thought back to the thousands of PM's and help threads involving similar issues that I've had to solve for people over the years. It was at this moment that I realized I needed to make a decision - to use my knowledge for good to help others in their time of need, or to sit back and laugh at the hilarity of the entire situation. It was at this moment that something odd happened. People that are bilingual often describe the magical time where you first realize that you are actually thinking in your second language. Well, as I gazed on upon the dozens of confused classmates, flustered professor, and technology-illiterate whoo-girls, a single thought entered into my mind. It was not a coherent sentence, mind you. It was just this single gif... It was at this moment in my life that I realized that I had officially become fully fluent and integrated in the internet. After coming upon this realization, I looked back and chuckled to myself over the previous "use my knowledge for good/evil" dilemma - how could I have even considered there to be an option? I proceeded to then sit back and thoroughly enjoy the mass chaos that was unfolding before my eyes over these simplistic tasks, all the while pleasurably keeping the knowledge that could fix all of the issues people were experiencing to my smug self.4 points

</3 Blexun </3 Whenever responsibility comes my way... I loved your sig. Then you disappeared to have an actual life or something, abandoning all editor endeavors. That made me sad, and the signature started hitting too close to home. Whenever I scroll past it now, I quickly close my eyes as a single tear slowly runs down my cheek. I sit like that for awhile and wait for the tear to either dry or fall from my chin onto my hipster t-shirt. I then muster up the courage to quickly grab my mouse and violently slam the wheel so that I can open my eyes without worrying about seeing it. Following that, it's always the same; my ensuing depression lasts for days at a time. It's so bad that my now ex-girlfriend thought that I was having a severe guilt trip from cheating on her and left me. I recently found out that she's now dating the admin of skyrimforums.org, our arch nemesis. He still has his Editor and now makes enough money off the site to purchase one condom a week. He uses it to screw who I thought to be the future mother of my children. 1 bashfully benevolent blexun's out of 5.4 points

If you're unaware, Jagex now has you watch a 30 second advertisement every time you log in if you're F2P. It's absolutely awful. If I still played I would quit instantly.I know RuneScape players have been complaining about Jagex's incompetence for years tongue-in-cheek, but I think now we can finally face the facts. RuneScape is just irrefutably complete garbage at this point. I don't know why anyone would play such a game when the developer has resorted to complete bullshit and sold out game achievements (you know, the entire reason you play) completely by introducing the ability to buy everything in-game with real cash.GG RuneScape. On the bright side I've rid myself of dealing with the train wreck developer that is Jagex. By the way, Jagex, protip: don't spend ten years developing a game on a platform that was dead when you started and then wonder why everyone gives your game shit.4 points

Hello Rebelz,As your new appointed leader, I would firstly like to thank Traaginen and Fergal for their deliberation. I also want to thank all of the Rebelz for being dedicated and sticking it out through the rough patches we’ve had.I want to envision a new future for the Rebelz. Firstly keep the foundation on which TRR was built on and thrived on. I currently want to get things running smoothly again with events and recruitment, these are my primary goals for now. As for Events, Jamie has been doing a wonderful job at that.On that note we are looking for new Staff, Event Coordinators and Diplomats.Lastly I would like to start on a clean slate with every Rebel. If I’ve offended you or you me, I would like to say that I’m sorry and that you’ve been forgiven. I want to build a sense of family and not hostility towards each other.Your Leader, Constanci0 (Anarchy)4 points

NoobyGuy requested this. How to Print Screen/Screenshots: If you want to take screenshots you'll need some software. I use PicPick, it's free for personal or non-commercial use and is great for taking screenshots and editing them (cropping, blurring, pixelating, adding text etc) Here is the download link: http://www.picpick.org/download (FREE) To take these screenshots you need to press the PrtSc key on your keyboard. The PrtSc key is in the same area as the Ins and Del key (On my Keyboard) Please note, this isn't my keyboard. How to Upload Them!: To upload photos you can use many websites. Some popular ones are tinypic, imageshack or photobucket. TinyPic is free registration but isn't ideal for going back and getting your uploads again. Photobucket is great, registration is required but I would highly recommend it for uploads. http://www.tinypic.com http://www.photobucket.com How to take videos!: There are many programmes that can record the screen. A popular one is Camtasia Studio 7, this is not free however and costs quite alot. A free solution to that would be CamStudio. CamStudio isn't as polished as other software but it gets the job done. Here is the link: http://camstudio.org/ Another great screen-recorder worth mentioning is uTIPu, this is also free. http://www.utipu.com/ Thanks ~Stuart4 points

Hey everybody, after a long time, I am finally back! As most of you may know, with the coming of this update, it came with a long list of fixes - Skyrim 1.9 Update Arrives on Consoles. Well, as you know, the Oghma Infinium era is over; however this is not the end of the ridiculous leveling schemes that have been devised. This is for the player who doesn't mind to get his hands a little "dirty" with using some in-game glitches. If you'd rather level legitimately, check out our Fastest Ways to Level in Skyrim guide, which contains a break-down of the best methods for every skill. This glitch is Alchemic potion for Fortify Restoration. With a few of these, your crafting armor can and will be anywhere up to 1,000,000%! now, hopefully if you did not do it too much (enough to completely destroy using Smithing and Alchemy forever [a glitch explained later on]), you should be able to temper a single item from 15 to 100 with a legendary skill. You can do this same thing with Alchemy as well, though it is highly ill advised. As with my personal experience, it took 125 full (15-100) Legendary levels of Smithing, and 21 full Legendary levels of Alchemy to hit level 251 (the level at which a player can acquire every perk in skyrim) I chose Smithing, though if anybody can inform me to any other method of this, I'm open to ideas. On to the bread and butter of this guide!: Method 1: Crafting armor, Smithing and You Skill Raised: Smithing Since you should already be level 81 with 100 smithing you should make about 10-15 Iron daggers and make sets of 6 Dwarven bows. From my personal experience, after tempering the first three bows in Legendary, you should be at about 29 Smithing. Temper the dagger and you'll hit 32. Invest two points into until you hit Dwarven Metal Smithing and temper the last three to 100. rinse and repeat until you decide you are happy. Method 2: Starting from scratch with Alchemy and Smithing Skill Raised: Smithing (and Alchemy) Using the Fortify Restoration potion method (you need the reagents for it, along with a set of crafting armor), make anywhere between 3-7 of these potions in that order of: Make --> Drink --> Unequip armor/Reequip armor --> repeat. This'll make it so that each re-equip and un-equip will make the effect stick. If you keep one extra potion, then drink it when you are smithing, then it'll take 1 item per 15-100 Legendary level. Repeat until happy Method 3: Fortify Restoration and the benefits of Alchemy Skill Raised: Alchemy This method is extremely simple; however, doing this runs the risk of making your Alchemy "level" value high enough to the point where it isn't functional anymore. Do the Restoration glitch 2-4 times and the +100% of the item potency on your crafting set will multiply ridiculously. After this, if you so choose, then just simply make some other potion that you already have a bulk of Reagents for. Hopefully it should get you from 15-100. Rinse and repeat. Method 4: 100 Illusion and harmony for days Skill Raised: Illusion (Credit for this addition goes to Jake) Acquire 100 Illusion by whatever means you see fit and buy the Harmony Spell (now findable in vendors pre-Master quest due to 1.9) and Legendary your Illusion, then head to Whiterun and cast it about nine times. This should get you to 100 Illusion again. Rinse and repeat till desired level. Method 5: 100 sneaking and Anti-PETA Skill Raised: Sneak (Credit for this addition goes to dan_Guy) Acquire 100 sneaking normally or however you fancy, then invest a point or a couple into the first skill so you can gain levels faster as you go back to stealth faster. spend about 1,000 gold to get a horse (the poster suggested Whiterun) then corner the animal. Using an iron dagger, go into sneak and swing away, he recommends waiting for 1 hour at about 50, 80, and 90 so the horse's health is fully restored. Method 6: beginning speedrun? Skill Raised: Sneak There is a way in the very beginning of the game to get level 100 sneak. This way was that you would sneak attack the Stormcloak fellow (pardon me for forgetting his name) that is helping you escape. with this update, you should be able to hit 100, then reset while you're still there. rinse and repeat because he is considered quest and will never die. *Note: There possibly runs a problem with the higher leveled Legendary "Prestiges" where you'll get less levels per Prestige. I encountered this around Le80 Smithing and was getting just barely one Smithing level per Prestige. Keeps this in mind and if you happen to go the smithing route, the second method may be more material conservative in the long run. *Note2: With the Restoration "glitch" people including myself have seemed to run into the effect where elongated use of the glitch will cause your Alchemy and Smithing (if used while under the effects) Will become unable to function. When under normal level 100 Smithing, you'll see ALL tempered or improved items will only temper to fine, and ALL potions will be 1% and possibly sell for 1 coin. Method 7: Being a Mule across the world Skill Raised: Alteration (Credit to Randy_Cabbage for this addition) This is pretty simple actually. Just make a full set of armor that reduces your alteration to 0% per cast and grip something in your telekinetic grip and keep on holding it. now simply press B (or the same constant for PS3, I'm having a brain fart) and click a location to fast-travel to. voila! you should now have leveled your Alteration skill from 15 to 100 within a single trip! Method 8: Being a Fish above water, still deadly... Skill Raised: Illusion (Credit to DeathclawSlayer for this addition) This one came in recently and what you have to do is maybe one of the more simple ones. This method deals in illusion and after casting Water-Breathing and equilibrium and running while in shallow water. The method will bring up illusion somewhat fast and eventually get you to 100. Hopefully this makes Illusion easier for everybody! This is not for everybody, keep this in mind before deciding to power-level. -Original Guide by Unknown ProbLem3 points

Heads up guys, the Android app is about to go from testing to release sometime in the next two days. The app is called "ESO Companion" and although it does not have all of the features enabled yet, I still think you guys will like it. I will be spending my beta weekend updating all the skills I know they changed from last beta. If you guys decide to give the app a try, let me know your thoughts and impressions. We are treating it like a living "ever evolving" project so feedback and wishlist items are greatly desired. For now the app allows character building with skill sets, level scaling of character stats, and a crafting reference section. Coming soon features are maps of all Sky shard locations, lore book locations, and dungeon entrance location and information (just to name a few things). So bottom line is watch for "ESO Companion" in the Android market this weekend and let me know what you think! Ohh and yes I put ElderSouls in the link page. So hopefully that will drive up some traffic for this site as well.3 points

Well then, that makes things infinitely more interesting. Gentlemen, how shall we make David earn his Beta key? I propose a zany challenge for the sake of needless complication.3 points

http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/1yso0g/upcoming_v018_patchnotes/ OVERVIEW The Elder Scrolls Online v0.18 presents new features in addition to tons of fixes and improvements to existing content based on tester feedback. Here’s a brief overview of what awaits you in this test: Thousands of fixes for quest issues across the entire game. Now after the tutorial completion, new characters will go directly to first alliance city where you will then have the choice to go to the starting islands. Starting leveling is slightly quicker, while higher-level is a bit slower. Implementation of Molag Bal’s newest threat – Dark Fissures, smaller version of Dark Anchors. Player to NPC collision. More orchestral music across all zones. Many gameplay improvements, including balancing and polish to class and weapon abilities. Many updates and improvements to the UI. TEST GOALS For this test, we have a few goals we’d like you to try and reach while playing the game. Start a new character, and provide feedback on the new starting location experience. Find and defeat a Dark Fissure and let us know what you think! Attain level 50 on at least one character, and explore Veteran content. Travel to Cyrodiil and participate in the Alliance War. BIG CHANGES / UPDATES / NEW FEATURES New Post-Tutorial Experience In order to give new characters more freedom of choice, we’ve made a change to the way that characters move between the early zones. With this change, after you complete the tutorial and escape from Coldharbour, you will now arrive in the starting city for your alliance. You will have the option to visit the original starting areas, or just go forth and start adventuring immediately. Content in and around each of these cities has been adjusted to be more easily performed by characters of levels 3-6. Aldmeri Dominion New characters leaving Coldharbour will now arrive in Vulkhel Guard instead of Khenarthi’s Roost. Razum-dar will be waiting for you in Eagle’s Strand when you take the quest Storm on the Horizon from Captain Tremouille. There is now a ship that will ferry you to Khenarthi’s Roost from Vulkhel Guard. Daggerfall Covenant New characters leaving Coldharbor now arrive in Daggerfall instead of Stros M’Kai. Kaleen will be waiting for you in Port Hunding when you take “The Broken Spearhead†from Mihayya. There is now a ship that will ferry you to Stros M’Kai from Daggerfall. Ebonheart Pact New characters leaving Coldharbor now arrive in Davon’s Watch instead of Bleakrock. Rana will be waiting for you in Bleakrock when you take “A Beginning at Bleakrock†from Riurik. There is now a ship that will ferry you to Bleakrock from Davon’s Watch. Dark Fissures Molag Bal has stepped up his attacks, and Dark Fissures are opening throughout Tamriel! These are smaller events than the larger Dark Anchors. To close a Dark Fissure, several Daedra will emerge from a fissure and must be slain. They are designed for solo or a small group. NPC Collision In order to make the world feel more substantial, you will now collide with NPCs, including collision with NPCs in combat. We’d appreciate everyone’s feedback about how this changes the way the world – and especially combat – feel, and of course any bugs you find with this new feature. Please note that this will not affect PvP combat with other players; collision is only on NPCs. Known Issues Some ship hatch doors may be difficult to target, or could potentially teleport you to locations that are slightly off where you should have ended up. Your cursor may become active during lockpicking, and can hinder interaction with the tumblers. NPC VO will be missing or off in the starting experience. For some people, the game will freeze for 4-6 (actually 4-11 or so) seconds at irregular intervals. During this time nothing updates – the screen locks until it comes back from this issue. If you have your task manager open you will see the CPU go to 100%. We are aware of this issue. We don’t have a fix yet, but we’re working on getting a fix out for it as soon as possible. FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS Alliance War General Experience awarded for player-character kills has been increased. Battle bolstering now properly sets Spell Skill and Attack Skill values. In Cyrodiil, red circles will now appear around enemy damage spells, and green circles will now appear around ally heal spells. Ebonheart Pact already had one at their entry gate (Southern Morrowind Gate). Capturing/influencing a flag now has sound associated with the visible effects. Alliance War NPC Guards now properly reflect their difficulty on their unit frames. Elder Scrolls will now properly “snap back†to a keep after 60 minutes if they were last held in a stasis platform within a keep and not captured in a Scroll Temple or other keep. Before this change, this was properly working for Elder Scrolls removed from Scroll Temples, but not for those removed from keeps. Achievements have been added for killing any Emperor, and for killing an Emperor in your home Campaign. Keep bonuses no longer display in your Character panel. They are still visible in the Alliance War Bonuses panel. The “inspect keep†UI has been updated. When you click on a keep or resource on the map, it will now show its upgrade and level status on the left side of the map. Quests Experience granted for completing quests that originated in Bruma, Cheydinhal, Chorrol, Cropsford, and Vlastarus has been increased. Quests that originate in Bruma, Cheydinhal, Chorrol, Cropsford, and Vlastarus can now be completed once per 24 hour cycle (resetting at 6:00 AM EST). The amount of Alliance Points awarded for completing Scout and Capture quests has been increased. Siege Weapons Siege weapons will no longer disappear when mailing them to other players. Siege weapons can now only be used by characters that are of the same alliance as the weapon. For example, you can no longer put an Aldmeri Dominion siege weapon in your bank, and use it with an Ebonheart Pact or Daggerfall Covenant character. These are the compiled questions and answers in the Paul Sage Q&A. Thank you Paul for being on TF today! @Atropos Please do something with this so it won’t get lost in the ocean of threads. Discussion thread for the questions and answers can be found –here– As a healer (especially interested in PvP), approximately how distant can I be from my ´patients´ while still being able to heal decently? That is, will my healing potential drop significantly if I am, say, on 80 – 100 feet away, since healers normally prefer not to be on the frontline? @JamesGoblin Well, it varies depending on the spell so that is hard to answer. In general, you will do better to stay in range of your intended targets. Probably the tank. Of course, it is all situational. Maybe a safe distance is ~15 to 20 meters. Can I be facing away from my friendly target, and still heal, or even do it on the move (while walking away)? For more specific example – do we have instant HoTs, and if so, can we use them in the aforementioned way? @JamesGoblin Again, it depends on the spell. Some are radius and some are non-directed heals, meaning they go to the most hurt member. Some are cone based. It really depends on the spell. But there are spells which are instant that will let you heal while not facing your target, they just won’t be as efficient as those that do. Connected to 2), can I be walking/running away from friendly/enemy target and having my cam turned backwards? If not so (connected to consoles I guess) – do you plan on implementing such possibility at some point in future for PC/MAC users, to enable them to use at least some advantages of mouse/keyboard? @JamesGoblin I think I understand what you are asking, and in the middle of combat, I don’t think this is possible. How important is the use of synergies for success in end game content, both in PvE and PvP? Is it a necessity or just a bonus? @Halmur They aren’t necessary, but they do provide a large advantage when used correctly and may be the difference between life and death in harder combats. For instance, there is a synergy which allows the people ‘activating’ it to go invisible for a short time, and that can really help when someone has too many enemies aggro’d onto them. If a player wanted to solo a group dungeon, would they need to be about 10-20 levels higher than the group recommended level in order to survive? Thanks. @CharlesJT I don’t know that we’ve internally tried to ever gauge this. But I suspect you would need to be at least 10 levels higher, assuming there isn’t an exploit. Even then, it might be difficult. How can you guarantee that events/dungeons/adventure zones and anchors aren’t too easy or will there be different grades of difficulty (like Easy, Average, Hard and Heroic the player can choose from) @Revoil I am not sure we can guarantee this, but in general Dark Anchors are difficult for two players and ramp up for up to four players. And too easy is always a relative term depending on the player. What some people feel is too easy, others feel is too difficult. It is a fine line. The finesse-system: Does anything/using the ultimate reduce your finesse and how do you balance the finesse gain between tank (who can block, interrupt easily) and an archer? @Revoil Finesse is an older system that we have really not brought to the fore much. It isn’t dead, but basically, it is the back-end now of building an Ultimate. The better you do in combat, including heals, dodging damage, blocking at the right time, etc. all contribute to raising your ultimate. You have said that you won’t implement that gear-farming-standard for dungeons/ in adventure zones or with overland bosses. What will be the appeal/loot for those events… (except fun)? @Revoil I’m not sure I understand this question. Hopefully I answer what you are asking. There will be gear which is unique in look depending on how you play and may be unique in stats. As an example, while the gear you earn in a Veteran Level dungeon may not be more powerful than the gear you gain in PvP and vice-versa, it can look different and have different stats. Will players be able to rate other group members on how well they performed as a Healer,DPS,Tank within the Group, allowing future group leaders insight on a players ability? @Darastix Not for launch, but I really like the idea of a way to gain reputation. Will there be incentives for grouping, such as increased XP gains or other buffs? @Darastix We do give a percentage bonus to grouping right now, so yes. Can we expect Dungeons to contain various puzzles/traps requiring different skill sets, For example mechanical Traps that need to be disarmed, Puzzles requiring specific types of magic to complete and Riddles of wisdom or random leaps of faith (invisible floors, walking though flames ect) to progress through a path. @Darastix Right now most traps are of the detect-and-avoid type. The same is true of puzzles. They require player skill more than built-up, in-game skills. This helps everyone to be on equal footing when coming across obstacles. I know synergies do various abilities but are there any that take on this skill-chain concept or teamwork feature? @Argoth question was several paragraphs – full length question and answer No, that’s not really how Synergies work. Synergies are much more about reacting to situations and using them at the right time. I think earlier we experimented with more chaining type multiplayer abilities, but these didn’t really work for us, I think because of the active nature of our combat. Will it be some part of PVE a real competition, expected the best guilds a lot of effort for the development or the goal is to let a large group of friends hang out with each other, having fun, killing casual mode bosses like in single games? So will it be a real MMO type of PVE, and how much if that so? @Etn1eS I think we have a range of difficulty in what we do, so it will likely appeal to both of the situations you have outlined here. Some of the content is going to be geared to a more casual playstyle, and some will be downright hard. Are there going to be benefits while being a group XP wise as opposed to leveling Solo? @Morkulth Currently there are. You get a percentage bonus for being in a group to XP gains. We have seen groups of four being the base of a group. Are there going to be penalties for grouping with more than 4 people? @Morkulth Well, you can’t form larger groups than four in certain areas. So no, there won’t be penalties in that way. Lastly. Is the so called holy trinity (tank, heals and dps) always needed to complete recently released dark anchors and or dungeons? @Morkulth Nope. Not always needed. The harder content may indeed need it, but Dark Anchors aren’t that hard. Dungeons, sometimes you are going to need to have the archetypes. If you are in a guild with people in one of the other alliances that you are not in, can you group with them to do instances and such? @Aillorian This is something you can’t do right now, but I believe we would like to enable this for the future. How will dungeons work when you repeat them? Is there any NPC response or change in story when returning to them for a second time or does it play out the same way every time? @Icepants Our dungeons allow you to repeat them as many times as you would like, but the quests in them can only be done once. This means the monsters and events will be active regardless of how many times you have completed the dungeon. However, in Veteran mode, dungeons have a second part or the second half of the story, so you will get an entirely different experience. In the dev play session video, you battled a dark anchor and Molag Bals minions, but, you were ony three people there at that point. I am conserned about the fact that maybe a zerg fest will be the result when several people is in the same location. This will make the battle much too easy. How do you go about this? @Maribaken Well, this could potentially happen in any situation, which should eventually would solve itself. People will naturally spread out and there will be many things to do. This is why we have the variety we have. In vanilla wow there was a large amount of open space in buildings and in the environment that the RP-community could claim “their ownâ€. On these places there were no npcs, questgivers or mobs etc that could bring a large amount of non-RPers into the site, neither were there any mobs attacking you everywhere you or other things that would prevent the hardcore RP some people love. As a example, some RPers actually “claimed†a house and made their own pub there, with all staff player driven. Will these things be a possibility in ESO? @Maribaken There are many open spaces and places I suppose you could claim…and I am curious to see how people do this. Is hunting immersive? If I want to sneak upon a deer, and take it down with my bow, do I have the opportunity to do so, or can I just walk up to it and beat it dead with a club? @Maribaken We have to make sure people who favor melee weapons can kill prey, but prey or critters as we call them, do run. Will the mobs be spread across the map, or will there be “chunks†of mobs. E.g. if I walk through a forest, will I encounter a spriggan, a bear, a imp and another bear? Or will I meet a spriggan, a spriggan, a spriggan, a spriggan, a imp, a imp, a imp, a imp, And so on, just like in wow? @Maribaken Yes and yes. We have a population around certain points of interest which better fit in your latter example because this is where questing takes place, and many people will naturally come to these spots. In areas not like this, the example would be closer to your first. When it comes to players like me who enjoy playing through dungeons, what do you have in place to have us dungeon crawlers keep returning again and again? I know there will be “Master†dungeons in place for max level characters, but once you finish that story progression, what will have me keep coming back? Is there unique looking chest piece I absolutely have to have so I can show off in town? What kind of benefits will a player receive from repeating a dungeon(s)? @Sibuna-Suroh I may have alluded to this in a previous post, but yes, there is unique gear in certain dungeons as well as opportunities for better gear. And of course, hopefully the fun of the experience. Are all quest-related dungeons group applicable or not? @Vampirakiin Group applicable? I don’t know what this means really, but not all dungeons, caves, etc. are for a group of four if that is what you mean. How many difficulty levels will end game group dungeons have? @Vampirakiin We have dungeons which are Veteran level dungeons. These are harder than normal level dungeons. There isn’t a difficulty setting other than this. Are we able to upload our guild logo in-game? @Vampirakiin No. There are multiple reasons why, as you might imagine. How will the loot system work if you and you teammate both contributed to the defeat of your enemy. @jamiezusi Since the loot is instanced for each of you, you will both get loot provided there is loot to drop. Also, you must significantly contribute to the kill to be eligible for loot. I’ve heard feedback that the ESO skill concept is resource based instead of based on cooldowns. How do you plan on encouraging a player to use the full range of skills the developers are implementing vs. spamming a one or two abilities simply because it happens to do the most damage or be the only one he needs? @Argoth Well, ability use should be based on situational and strategic need. If you spam abilities frequently, you are going to have a bad time. You need to reserve your ability use for the appropriate times. This is especially true when you get to later content and group based content. How is the alliance-change in the 50+/++ parts of the game going to work? @GeraintAmbrosia Well, I can’t really go into the specifics without spoilers to the story. Let’s just say, a certain entity wants you to see things from a different perspective, and you will be able to travel to the new alliance. Will the 50+/++ content change my Alliance setting that I’ve chosen at the start of the game to another one and if it does, can I change back to my original alliance when I’m done with the 50 +/++ content? @GeraintAmbrosia Only while you are in that alliance, but not for PvP campaigns. For those you will always be considered part of your original alliance. Can I still group up with my friends when I’m doing 50+/++ content and they are not high in level enough? @GeraintAmbrosia You can, but they cannot come to the other alliance areas, yet… Will there be areas in the world or dungeons/contested dungeons that will allow for those players who enjoy “grinding†on mobs for xp/weapon skill points to be able to do so? I feel meeting a balance between questing and mob grinding is healthy but I have a feeling this game will be quest heavy and little to no mob grinding. @Extremeties I believe there are. But questing is probably the best way to gain XP. Things change a little once you get to Veteran Ranks. Tanking roles – For those of us who enjoy being a “tank†type in these type of games, will there be a traditional tank in this game where you can manage threat of multiple mobs(unsure seeing how there only seems to be 1 taunt that we know of in the game) and also do you guys see yourselves implementing more skill lines for tank types? Theres some fantastic conversations here regarding this topic and some are saying no(which I hope is not the case because Im not looking forward to another Guild wars 2 dungeon mess dying 19821983 times) and some saying yes. Can you comment on this? @Extremeties I think if you try to get too specific with regards to what works with other games, it might be confusing. For instance, ESO is much more situational than some other games, and more active. Roles can be changed on the fly with weapon swap, and we expect everyone to stay engaged in combat. That said, there is an ability which will better pull monsters off of other players, but players also have abilities which will enable them to stop being the target of certain monsters. An example situation might be: A tank usually goes into the mix first, then DPS help focus fire or take on adds depending on the situation. Healers will still mix it up, but should only be taking one or two things at a time so they can pay attention to the health of their teammates. The fourth member of the group can be anything, but I generally like a tank with auxiliary heals or another heavy DPS with auxiliary heals. Will the amount of players present determine how hard the Anchor is? @Galahad Up to a certain amount of players, yes, absolutely. Is the fight for each Anchor, or the mobs within the fight random? Or are they the same fight each time? @Galahad They vary depending on the anchor location and even at the same location. Will there be a quest sharing system for groups? @Cometdestroyer Yes. You can share quests with your group-mates. Do you have a system in place, or plan to have, that would allow you to go back and share the experience with new players that would possibly be in a different quest-progression phase than you? @Remh We will not have such a system for ship, but this is something we would like to do in the future. When i destroy a black anchor does it stay gone or do these appear again after a certain time again? @Hallonbowt They will appear again. Molag Bal doesn’t give up that easily. Can you please elaborate on the different types of synergies? Can we expect any types of synergies or cooperative strategies that involve making use of items or the environment (such as the oil traps in TES: V)? @Aziah Synergies are those abilities which another player casts, they are useful by themselves, but take on new dimension if another player comes over and ‘activates the synergy effect’. Here are a few, though I will get the names wrong: Supernova – If you activate this it will increase the damage and radius. (AoE damage spell) Siphoning Attacks – when you activate your attacks leech health Spear Shards / Blessed Shards – allows activation to recover stamina (good for those hungry tanks) Consuming Darkness – activation allows people to become invisible for a short time Storm Atronach – activation increases duration and damage of the Atronach Does pve content difficulty scale with party/raid size and if so in what way @Prime406 It does at Dark Anchors, but generally by adding more mobs and strengthening them a bit. Other content difficult is set by area allowing players to know what they are getting into. What kind of rewards can we expect from a Dark Anchor event? @Sir-Hardy-of-Morningwood You get experience from the mobs and completing the event. You also gain rank with the Fighters Guild. And of course, you get loot drops, especially from the boss. With respect group gameplay, will there be land and sea group mounts such as carriages, boats? @altanass No. Not really, however, you can jump to your group mates and arrive at the nearest wayshrine or safe location. Say a group just wanted to explore, will the wildlife and enemies in the open world beyond scripted events be dense enough to support a roaming experience party? @altanass Well, overland is tuned more to solo and duo play. Do effects from beneficial and detrimental actions stack? For example, if a healer can cast a HOT, will other players be able to cast the same spell/action to add to the HOT or will it overwrite? @altanass It depends on the spell, but in general they won’t stack. How does looting system work in group and is the gear we find in dungeons (boss, chest, quest) bind on pick up, bind onequip or tradable? @Argalin Again, the gear is instanced to the player. Some of the gear is tradeable, and some is bind on equip or pickup. Is it possible to do istanced dungeons in the other faction territories before level 50? For example a lv 20 dungeon in theinitial zone of another faction via lfg system? And what after lv 50? If we go in a lv 50+ zone after we finish our territoriesand we enter in an istanced dungeon wich dungeon will we find? The original levelling dungeon,a lv 50 one or a MasterDungeon? @Argalin It is. Once you complete the dungeon in your alliance, you can do the same level dungeon in the other alliances. This will be the exact same dungeon as if it were your home alliance. Are there any differences aside level range from a Dark Anchor to another? Are there special Dark Anchors that require amassive player partecipation or any other form of massive public events? And what about rewards? @Argalin Different Dark Anchors can have different spawns, but the primary difference is level. Will there be world bosses? @xShadow-claw Yes. We showed in a recent video an overland boss fight. You have promised that we get new content every 4-6 weeks. Is it possible that we can get new dungeons after launch as a part of this content? @xShadow-claw Our plan is to deliver content this frequently, and we certainly hope to add new veteran dungeons. How many players can a group have before it reaches it limit? @xShadow-claw It depends on the situation. PvP can have much larger groups. Dungeons can have groups of 4 players. How will public dungeons work? Will it scale per number of players in the dungeon? It is instanced or can anyone come in and join? We have 16 dungeons at launch, are public dungeons part of that 16? @SoMuchMass Public dungeons work much as the overworld, but are really tuned for you to bring a friend or meet a friend. Anyone can come right in. The 16 dungeons or instance are the group (4 player) instances. The public dungeons are not included in that count. I believe there are 16 public dungeons as well. While grouping, will quests progress as a group or does every member of the group have to complete every stage of the quest? In SWTOR they had a guild section on their site prior to launch that let you form a guild and invite members. When the game launched these guilds with their members were imported into the game. Will ESO have something similar? Trying to plan time off from work for launch, which I have to do at least 30 days in advance, so will there be early access(head start) prior to 4/4/14 for people that pre-order the game? @Braxx It really depends on the type of step. In general, we try to make most of the steps shared, however, certain steps may have decisions a single player makes or involve certain information we want to assure the player has a chance to hear. As for launch and head starts, we’ll announce full plans soon. When playing as a tank in a dungeon encounter, if you use the “puncture†skill from the sword and board line will this give you the total attention of the dungeon boss, in that by using this skill when needed you can maintain the attention of the dungeon boss throughout an encounter even while your other party members are pouring on the damage? @Witness It will certainly not last forever. But you should be able to maintain attention, unless someone just tried to actively grab it from you. In a dungeon encounter do stun, knockdowns and snares generate more agro than other types of attacks, and if so should these skills be used primarily by the tank character so that the tank can maintain as much agro as possible. @Witness Actually, heals can generate a lot of attention from the enemy. But other skills certainly add to it. I’m not trying to be cagey, but some of this you need to find out when you play. In a game like ESO where any class can play any role when you join a dungeon how will you know which player is the tank, which is the healer and who are the dps, will there be some kind of markings indicating which fits the designated role? @Witness Using our group finder, you can actively select which roles you can take on. Also, just talking with one another can help determine who is the most effective. Regarding Dark Anchors, will they be completely open to anyone, similar to rifts in Rift, or world events in GW2? If so, are there safe guards to keep people from just creating one massive zerg party that takes away any of the fun or difficulty of defeating them? @ShadowSurge96 They are completely open events similar to Oblivion Gates, except you don’t enter them. There really aren’t safeguards against people “zerging†them as you say, but I believe I addressed some of this in an earlier post. Group loot is said to be “instanced†or “individualizedâ€. Can you comment on if or how your share of loot pertains to your level of contribution to the fight? @Stonesthrow Everyone gets an equal share as long as they are a significant contributor. I can’t comment further than that. Does finesse currently play a role in the level/type of loot received? In a 2012 Dev interview, if you were rocking a fight right there was a chance at a special “chest†of loot… @Stonesthrow We took this out. The finesse system was interesting, but it had some problems and we didn’t feel it added as much as it once had. Combat evolved and we felt it was strong enough without this element. Say I cast an ability into a group of allies that has the option for a synergy effect. Are there any limitations on the number of times my allies can activate it? Is it once per cast of the ability or can each ally activate it once each? Maybe it’s spammable? @The-Dude It depends on the synergy, but there are definitely limits. You can’t activate Supernova more than once. Some have durations such as Blood Fountain. I may have left out that the Undaunted Skill line is filled only with Synergy abilities. The Undaunted skill line opens up as you complete dungeons and dungeon challenges. Someone asked me if there were more reasons for dungeons, and I almost left this out. In a dungeon can you resurrect a fallenally while engaged in combat? @The-Dude You absolutely can. If you have a filled soul gem of the appropriate level, you can run over and resurrect them. This takes time though and is a strategic element of combat. There has been some discussion on this site about Aggro versus Control tanking, and the apparent lack of taunts. Can you describe the ESO vision of tanking (it’s importance, basic mechanic)? @Haas-ta-Thisk I may have covered this earlier. However, again, tanking involves more than just hitting a taunt over and over. We have a multiple enemy game. Good tanks have good target acquisition. They know what to take on, and what not to. DPS and healers should also know what to take on. A good tank can hold aggro pretty readily with a few mobs, but they aren’t meant to hold all of the mobs. As an example, a tank can take on the big heavy in an encounter and keep its attention pretty easily without a taunt. Now if someone makes a mistake, they might have to use an ability to get away, but the tank should be able to reacquire the target. The taunt, however, is very helpful in harder situations. As we’ve said, other abilities will certainly add more hate, and part of this early game is figuring those out. In your Dev Play Session I don’t think I see a single melee weapon being used by players. Is this simply a way you guys were playing or are you going to be looking at how melee works and retooling it slightly? It’s a little dissuading to hear about the great synergy the Dragon Knight has with his firestaff, and see literally no one bothering with melee. Will groups just be all ranged? @worm4real The interesting thing about this video is that we just sat down and played characters we wanted to play. We didn’t overanalyze much. It really was happenstance, and if I hadn’t read it (several hundred times) on the internet, I probably would never have given it a second thought. That said, we are fully aware that some critiques have been about the impact of our melee attacks and the weight of them. However, data on our test shows many, many players prefer melee over ranged. One of the things I should mention is also that viewing is very different from playing. All that said, we’ve made some changes in the past weeks which should make it even better. Regarding that same video, if these anchor events take place in Cyrodiil just how much of a mess do you intend them to be? Will it be worth opposite sides collaborating? Will it be more valuable to hang back until near the end and rush in to swipe the kill? Or will these anchors be solely PVE objectives with some method of preventing PVP play? @worm4real I can’t wait to find out. :> I hope they are chaotic in PvP, and I certainly think the thrill of PvP is never knowing when someone will attack. Will there be some kind of Looking For Dungeon system? I feel like often these systems not only increase the number of unguilded players but they also encourage bad behaviors since it creates a sense of “never seeing that player againâ€. This obvioulsy might work differently with the mega server. @worm4real Answered previously, but there is definitely an LFG system. It isn’t just for dungeons, and you can always teleport to a group member. How frequent will world anchors be? @Elock-Shadowheim There are generally three in a zone and more are scattered throughout Cyrodiil. Will player quests impact the enviroment in any way? @Elock-Shadowheim Yes. They definitely will. We’ve talked about layering or phasing, and you will see different NPCs, FX, etc. depending on how you do quests. How long would you say the main storyline be? @Elock-Shadowheim Very hard question to answer in all fairness. It spans multiple levels, so it really depends on the player. If you could play them all together…? Five – Six hours? This is a WAG. I am interested, are you planning public groups system, which can be seen in rift for example, when players approaching an obstacle can group together without one player individually inviting them? @Reag We talked about such a system at one time, but with our open tagging and significant contribution, we didn’t feel the need for it. As someone who has played a lot of MMO’s over the years from DAOC at launch all the way though to FFXIV which I’m currently playing. I’ve seen a difference in group setup and healing and tanking styles. so my question is for a veteran MMO players how big of a learning curve will it be to learn how to heal in TESO. And how much will it differ from the standard target heal system which most MMOs use. @Willowblade There are going to be some shifts in your thinking as a healer, certainly. Again, many MMOs have an interface game for healing and ESO doesn’t have a lot of interface elements. It is more about being active in the world. Cone heals, AoE heals, and spread heals will be the norm. You’ll also have to learn to be very active in combat and note when is the right time to heal based on what’s going on in the world and not a stopwatch or timer element. Guild cloaks? Will this be a feature at some point (loved them in DAOC. @Willowblade Stay tuned is what I can say about that for now. I know we are talking about group systems & game play. as i seen in one of your reply so far you’ve said group size is 4 in some areas what will be the large group size if any ?anyway cheers paul for taking the time to answer. @Willowblade Large group size is 12. Regarding armor classes, in endgame content could gear be altered/modified to better benefit the classes wearing them †i.e A Sorcerer wearing Heavy Armor, a battle mage type.†Or would they be at a disadvantage compared to A caster wearing light armor, benefiting from its perks. @VonDrak That would go against our belief that anyone should be able to wear any armor and get benefits from it. Anything is possible in the future, but I don’t see that happening now. In this game is it like all MMO’s were certain areas have certain enemy’s that will overpower you if you’re not the right level or is it more like skyrim where a mudcrab is just a mudcrab and a wolf is just a wolf. For example: Say you’re in a level 20 spot exploring when you run into a mudcrab. But you’re only level 10. Will the mudcrab still be an easy kill or will it be able to kill you since its in a level 20 area? @FusRohDahh ESO is more like Morrowind in its leveling with regards to monsters. Monsters and players have definite levels. ESO also has zones which are tuned to certain levels. These zones allow you to meet people around your level range and adventure together or just let you know what you are getting into. Once you hit 50 and venture into the other Alliances, level doesn’t mean as much and you will be able to go from place to place without worry of being overpowered so much.3 points

I've started to work on skill tables, such as the ones seen here. As of now, only the first one is full; click the "+" to view all the descriptive information. They're eventually going to be added to every related informational page (e.g. the racial tables inserted into the race pages), so before I get too far ahead of myself I'm enlisting your help in a few things. [*]Check the accuracy of the information as it's added. [*]Check to make sure the functionality is working. [*]Suggest improvements. Known bugs: [*][ Fixed ] Table columns aren't the same width, which leads to... [*][ Fixed ] Text in tables not word wrapping correctly. [*][ Fixed ] Table Toggle: it requires two clicks to open a second table consecutively. [*][ Fixed ] Table Toggle: no animation. [*][ Fixed ] Table Toggle: toggle individual cells, and then toggle the entire table - the table cell button markers don't show the correct status until after you hit the table button again. [*]Minimizing sections has animation lag/jumps due to margins on the CSS class. Completed Pathways: [*]Racial [*]Armor [*]Dragon Knight [*]Nightblade There are a few other new things that will hopefully roll out soon-ish, but I suppose I can bump this thread when we get to that point. Oh, and if anyone knows basic HTML and isn't bothered by mind-numbing data entry... You can help with the tables if you so wish.3 points

Mm. I think it will be a variety of people in each faction- most every friend I have that's going to play ESO wants to make a character on each faction, if possible. I have to argue on the Aldmeri Dominion being hardcore and having undesirable races, though. Elves are very popular in many games, and it looks like the elves in ESO will have more options as far as the face goes to appear appealing to a wider base of people. Subject 1: http://www.elderscrollslevelingguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-Screenshot-Altmer-Lute.jpg Now that could change, as it is still beta and models are subject to tweaking, but most of the elven models that I've seen, while usually angular like a TES elf ought to be, look fairly appealing or have the potential to be so. Speaking of appealing. Subject 2: http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2012/06/faction3-590x246.jpg Don't underestimate the power of hot (right?) CGI elf chicks. Not to mention the Khajiit have a sizeable fanbase and are pretty awesome and the internet loves cats, Bosmers = wood elves and wood elves = Legolas, and Altmer = high elves and high elves = blood elves. And we all know that blood elves made up at least 50% of Horde players in WoW... or was that 50% of the entire WoW playerbase? Point being, they're popular. Elves are much beloved, and ESO elves seem pretty enough to pass. Also for that reason I call total nonsense on Horde being older and more mature. Maybe before Burning Crusade, but after? Belves, man. Awful belves. It was a plague. Goblins made it worse. Don't get me started on pandas. Plus you may get a lot of Skyrim players who think to themselves, "Ah, the Thalmor were bad guys, so Altmer are bad guys, and if I play one I'll be ironic." Plus TES fans haven't been able to see a whole lot of the Aldmeri Dominion's homeland, and it should be very pretty. We've already seen Skyrim and Morrowind, but entirely new, beautiful environments to explore? Sure we can see it at 50+, but why not delve into it from the beginning? I think AD will be appealing to a broad spectrum of people just as the rest- but that largely includes a lot of young players, like in EP, who want to play a cool character... though in this case it'll be more like a pretty elf. Don't think Morrowind Altmer with their crazy awful hair and slightly terrifying, alien faces.... because that's probably not how most people will see them from looking at their models in ESO. They are far, far from unappealing. I'd say that DC has the most 'unappealing' races and is suffering in numbers (in current polls anyway) as a result. A lot of people think playing humans is boring, and two of the three races are human. The third, orcs, is usually the least popular pick, although that could change perhaps with a faint bump in popularity due to other games. Bretons are about as generic fantasy human as TES gets, and Redguards are pretty badass but still human. EP is most varied in that regard because you've got a popular human race, a popular elven race, and a popular beast race all in one. They'll probably be most popular... and probably easiest for friends with different tastes to reach an agreement on as far as picking a faction goes because of that. I reckon AD will be a very close second, if not at the same level, though. DC will come in last. As far as the player bases? Eh. I'd venture to say "hardcore" players are often drawn in more by the underdog for that challenge. Plus it's often the non-appealing but still tough races that appeal (like pre-BC Horde), so I'd go with DC for the orcs and Redguards, but honestly, I think they'll all be varied, particularly given that we'll be on a megaserver. There's just too many people to interact with that there's going to be a large population of varied intensity doing PvP, PvE or RP. And Cyrodiil campaigns are loosely capped at 2000 people- for a grand population of, let's say 6 million, that's a total luck of the draw in terms of who you'll be fighting with. tl;dr Kiddies love pretty elves and AD has pretty elves. People love cats too. EP has cool nords which is also appealing, plus a reptilian race which is fairly rare to MMOs, so that's cool. Also dark elves. Drow, anyone? DC has humans and orcs and is toughest faction. No, I'm not a biased elf-hater, why would you say that? Lies and slander.3 points

So I went to play Morrowind earlier today, and decided I was going to visit Onnissiralis, and get the Adamantium Helm of Tohan. Well, look at what I saw when I swam to the island... Et teh hrel? At first I was like Then I was like And then I was like And then, the friggin buggers who give the quest weren't there. AND THEN I found a scamp on the bottom of the sea. Is this game trolling me again? Morrowind is prolly all like:3 points

You're going to be the first person I assassinate. As you're laying there in an odd mash-up of white surroundings and random glitches for your last moments, I'm going to lean next to you and whisper, "Why did you spam all those threads with your hilarious yet racially insensitive posts?" You're going to cough up some blood and then give me a morally confusing answer. As your last breath escapes, you manage a weak and final "I did it... for teh lulz....". It makes me feel bad for killing you. Requiescat in pace.3 points

Dem glitches. Also, this is now a "Shit my wife did" thread. 1. Decided to marry Mjoll as she is both a wife and a follower. The guy she friendzoned also moves in with us, completing our weird sitcom-esque living arrangement. Lydia is extremely jealous. 2. While not technically my wife, Lydia knocks my decorations down all the time. Which is why I push her into dungeon traps. 3. I bought the house in Riften. I noticed there is a closet that is never filled, even if you upgrade the house completely. So I, being the mage that I am, decided to store bodies in there to turn into Thrall Zombies whenever I want to. I spend hours adding strong bodies to my collection: master wizards, quest npc's, daedras, and other fun people to zombify. I even added a master vampire to the collection. After a few days of exploring, I decide to visit the house to sell my loot. My wife, who was an Orc, was sitting at the table. All of a sudden, battle music started playing. My wife got up and ran to the closet, blocking me from entering. Apparently my master vampire respawned for some reason and started resurrecting my other trophy bodies. My wife was decked out in pretty good gear, so she was tearing them a new one while the vampire kept resurrecting them. And when they died, they turn into ash. I lost a lot of good bodies that day.3 points

I seriously dont know what the fuck is wrong with Jagex. If you're in control of a game that has been becoming less and less popular over the years, because of bad decisions, you can at least try to make it a better game for everyone. Seriously, any retard could do a better job than the guys at Jagex.3 points

So I've spent a fair amount of hours with the new combat system, and I've come down to the following. Note this is a beta, so things are likely to change. [*]Shields and defense are great. Between the abilities and the huge life and armor boost, it can stand up to a dual wielder without much trouble. A well timed deflect or immortality can, and has for me, changed the outcome of a fight many times. And that leads us to the 2nd thing...... [*]Rejuvenate is over powered. You end up healing something around 2k+ health. This is an ultimate ability, mind you, but filling up to ultimate isn't that hard when using shield abilities (or really any abilities mind you, but I digress). This will likely get nerfed. [*]The combat triangle is a lot more balanced in beta than it is now. While it is still possible to own a melee-er while you range, you'll find yourself losing a lot more than you win. Unless you fight somebody lower leveled or your opponent is an idiot. [*]IF I had to choose a combat style that got shafted, it'd be ranging. Rune crossbows can only shoot up to runite bolts and there is only one one-handed ranging ultimate, though that can be worked around by bringing an extra crossbow or a shortbow with you and switch before ultimate. 2 handed bows are also good with range, though the lack of a shield and it's abiliites can screw you over. Especially no rejuvenate. God I hate rejuvenate. [*]Defenders suck. Moving on. [*]Maging cost a lot less runes. All the spells from the regular book only cost element spells, so you can cast air surge with just an air staff. Bloods and deaths are used in the ancient book. [*]The dps between 2h's and dual wielding is more or less the same. That being said, 2h's don't suck as much as I thought they would. I still prefer the dw abilities, but 2h's are pretty cool too. [*]Having off-hand versions of pretty much every weapon in Rs is stupid. I don't think having one version costing more than the other is a problem, but there is just no reason for it. Idk, I just don't like it. [*]A lot of weapons and items have been made obsolete. First of all, the dungeon prayers augury and rigour, which were basically piety for mages and rangers respectively, have been given to all players once they hit 70 pray, with everybody getting there tokens refunded. Things like restore spec potion, that special bar ring from dungeoneering, and that special bar aura have to be reworked to fit the adrenaline bar. And the worse of all, weapons that were coveted for their special are more or less shit now. having a claw for a hand isn't really cool. And getting Korasi is useless if you can't do it's special and it's stats are now slower and weaker than a whip. [*]Skill can be a key factor in a fight. I've beaten people into the 200's, and I'm sad to say I've been beat by people as low as 170, in fights. This is usually due to combat triangle situations, but I've beaten higher leveled meleers with melee and range before. Basically, the combat level system doesn't suck completely. Just my immediate thoughts on the EoC. Feel free to discuss, offer your own realizations, or just call me an idiot with a logical reason as to why.3 points

Everybody dies except Babette. The real reason is like you said, you can't kill kids. I guess the fake reason could be she turned invisible, as she is a vampire, and escaped after you entered. Doesn't really make sense as you'd think she would of told the other members. Maybe they wanted to try to fight you off and preserve the last Sanctuary in Tamirel.3 points

That is the same reason why I love Skyrim. A lot of us are so sure that America is the best country and it won't get attacked by dragons. Well, they don't know that.3 points
