This is true... it's trending like crazy on twitter and from gaming sites....It's kinda sad like you said that it isn't taking place in the medieval era or even Ancient Greece or Rome would have been great...like come on...the Persian vs Greece and even Egypt would have been good... even 1700 france would have been better EVEN Feudal Japan would have been a great setting for the game. The Mughal or even Byzantium Empire would have been a great setting...even doing a mirror time of ezio but an assassin during 1400-1500 England. A lot of structures in those time periods would have been great for jumps.I my opinion they went down the wrong path....the more and more it get's modern the more and more the game will lose its greatness. Even the additions of guns were lame you have to wait and take aim and what now which makes it really slow gameplay.You can see where they might go with this series...by going into the World Wars and then possibly the Cold Wars...then from there they would need explain the technology in Desmond's time period cause it's pretty obvious they aren't in the 2020s at least...
