  1. Well, you gotta aim, if that helps.
  2. I just heard there's gonna be some info release this Tuesday. I'll post it here on Elder Souls when it comes out. I hope it's something big.
  3. I've been thinking about something lately that I've never really paid much attention to. Here's the situation: You're walking down the street, and you see an unfamiliar girl headed towards you in the opposite direction. She's a casual, normal-looking person with a placid expression on her face. What kind of eye contact do you usually make in this kind of situation? (I used a girl for this example because I know for a fact that none of us would give a crap if it was another dude. Ahaha, am I right?)
  4. Alright, whatever, man, but ever since that ESO Cinematic Trailer came out, I'm all for a movie. I want a film, dammit. And I figured those impossible acrobatics executed by the nightblade could be explained as him having Nocturnal's blessings, so no worries. Oh, and I checked the thread out. I thought about it long and hard. I vote Jim Carrey as Sheogorath. ...And nobody's worthy enough to play Serana.
  5. I'll be a Dragon Knight. The heck is a fedora shaman supposed to be? Some in-joke I'm missing here?
  6. Eh, suit yourself. But classicness be damned, if a story or writing style doesn't immediately captivate you, and reading something starts to feel like a chore, you should just put the book down. As for me, I'll be reading the TES books regardless whether they're good or not. Gotta satisfy my TES hard-on someho-- I mean, get a fix. Yeah.
  7. Yeah, I thought the same thing about movie adaptations of books too. But then I was proved wrong by Fight Club. The film was better than the book by a mile. And, true, it's great we're getting an online ES. I've never been one to geek out about games, but I have actually finished every single Shoddycast video about ESO on Youtube in anticipation. And, David, did you know there's two Elder Scrolls novels out there? I just found out. Been too busy lately to read them though. How's that sound for a fix?
  8. ESO is six months away and there isn't anything interesting left to do while waiting for it. I'm already wasting away. I can't stop thinking about my in-progress medieval fantasy novel and I've just started dreaming in Nordic. I wish there was an Elder Scrolls movie being made. I'm in dire need of a good movie fix. And I don't just mean any kind of movie. I need to see one with an atmosphere of wanderlust, faraway lands, weary travelers, world-worn heroes and damsel sidekicks with deep-seated issues...
  9. There is the possibility that the parts and enchanting effects required to craft your gear will only be obtainable through drops from creatures and dungeons. So, in theory, just because all armors can be crafted doesn't mean you could just get them from tedious farming. But, yeah. Any game that has free trade, unless they impose drastic measures like wealth-exchange limits and binding, would have to suffer the problem of black market exchange. Since there is a tier system to the armor, they could theoretically impose a minimum level at which one can wear the different tiers. And nobody said there wouldn't be bound items either, just maybe not in ways you think. But, for the gods' sake, I would prefer black markets popping up than wealth-exchange limits any day. Take my word on this, daunted traveler.
  10. As much as I'd hate to admit it, those High Elves look like pretty powerful mages. My Nord would be weary of repeated Lightning splash, then encase, then wall of elements combos. I also predict a situation where the Altmer with their magicka-concentrated strengths could theoretically bolt escape circles around large battles and effectively stun everyone for their allies.
  11. Ahahah... You better be damned happy about that reply now, Dclaw. This guy might have wasted an hour of his life on this friggin' bitch-slap of clarity.
  12. I couldn't get the URL of this pic off the site, so... http://en.inkei.net/Jesus!Allah!Buddha!Talos Yep... So, I guess I know now what Heimskr (that crazy priest guy in Whiterun) is getting at. http://en.inkei.net/Talos!Akatosh!Dovahkiin!Molag_Bal All hail Talos, you friggin' heretics.
  13. You basically got a "no" opinion from the DovahLlama. And, hey, what's the point of asking a question like that if not for the conversation anyway? I'm sorry if you were somehow offended.
  14. Nope. Dungeons & Dragons is ESO minus the Skyrim-esque glory.
  15. You're welcome. Some of the older leaks are up on The Pirate Bay too. Four torrents, last time I checked. They get repetitive though, cause it's mostly the same old Coldharbour and Bleakrock stuff.
  16. Try disabling your adblocker. When something doesn't load for me, I try that. Then if it still doesn't, I use a proxy server or Tor Browser to circumvent locational restrictions they don't inform you about. Sometimes, it's your own ISP blocking you. So, yeah, use a proxy server.
  17. http://17173.tv.sohu.com/v/1/11918/223/MjIzMjc1MQ== Found this last week. It's got silly Japanese commentary, but you can still see the important bits. Well, so far it hasn't been taken down.

    Hello.

Alright. Until the release then. For now, I must enjoy my last five-and-a-half months of game-less productive existence.
  19. They're treasure locations. Go find 'em. They're unmarked in the in-game skyrim map. They're not in cities or dungeons or anything. They just lie in open terrain. I know this 'cause my friend got the same map when he preordered Skyrim.

    Hello.

If numbers is the problem, I've got four dicey recruits I could introduce here. I say "dicey" cause the price & subscription fees for ESO seems to have swayed them the wrong way. Three of 'em used to play Runescape too, if that says anything. Then again, I don't see anything wrong with a small guild. Doing guerilla shenanigans in Cyrodiil, that sounds fun. I say, you could always ally with other guilds for the big jobs. Anyway, if I could do anything, somebody just ask.

    Hello.

Oh, wait, perhaps I wasn't too clear. By saying I wanted to join you guys in a guild in my original post, I meant the uncategorized Elder Souls Guild, btw.

    Hello.

Oh, thanks. ...So, uh, David, I joined that "tOfficial" [sic] Elder Souls guild page just now. That is what I'm supposed to do, right? Or was that just an example guild page? I'm not sure. Title says tOfficial, description says example...

    Hello.

Hi. My name's Francis. It might've taken me too long to create this account, but here I am... Pleasure to meet everyone. I've been clicking on my ElderSouls.com bookmark for two months now. I come here for the religiously-fast posting of new info... And I haven't not noticed that this place has a cozy and appealing little community. Personally, I'm baffled why this place doesn't have more people...But that's okay, because I kinda like things this way. *** So here's some self-introductory stuff: I'm one of the new-generation Elder Scrolls fans. Started with just Skyrim, but I fell in love with the game and the lore, and I've read tomes upon tomes about life on Nirn, along with having hearty, long-running adventures in Skyrim with my sidekick, Serana (who I think is hot). So, frankly, I've got it bad with the ESO-anticipation-syndrome. ESO's coming out on the exact season my summer vacation starts (college student here). And I'm not what you'd call a "gamer" as I don't play a lot of them, but, man, if you'd just give me the right game, I will get hooked. I also fancy myself a writer who hasn't written much. But I have written some broken chapters that might be reminiscent of an Elder Scrolls world... Well, the general medieval-escapist setting, anyway. And I wanna turn it into a book someday. That being said, I'll be in the game for the role-play as well as PVP milestoning. *** And, here's the deal. By now, I feel like I know you people. Until recently, I had no idea what the heck TRR was when you guys brought it up. Then I found out that it meant "The Runescape Rebelz". What're the odds, I thought! I used to love that game, like, five years ago. Well, until I lost my membership, the game changed, and I sorta outgrew it. Shame too, was level 101, never had a guild. But still, the moment I read that, I decided to create an account and finally talk to you people... I've taken it as a sign of fate that I wandered here. And, uh, I wish to join your guild for ESO, if there be one... And if you'll have me. I'm a Nord by heart, and I'll be fighting for the Ebonheart Pact. I hope that's not a problem. I can be the guy who writes the tales of our adventures. Possibly, from the viewpoint of a guy who conspires cross-faction, because I assume most of you will be friggin' cats in the Dominion. Still, I don't suppose there can be an Ebonheart sector, will there?
