  1. Try these fixes, as they're what Microsoft officially recommends - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2571959If you can rule those out we'll move on to something else.
  2. It's good to see Beth's official 1.7 patch for the water issues haven't slowed the onlsaught to our v1.5 directions thread. Or is it?

It's named 1.6 because they skipped 1.6, but it has 1.6 + 1.7 for the PS3. 1.7 for everything else.

  3. Today EA announced that Dead Space 3 will be released for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in the US on February 5th. Europe will have to wait a few extra days, with the expected released coming on February 8th. EA's press conference also expanded on details that have emerged around Dead Space's much-requested feature, weapon crafting. Players will be able to scavenge the game for various materials and assemble various weapon combinations at work benches. A plasma gun with a grenade launcher? Why not. How about a chain gun with a shotgun-esque under-barrel? Yes, please. Visceral also revealed a contest on www.deadspace.com, in which gamers can submit their own unique weapons and combinations. The winner will have their weapon featured in the game, as well as have a character based off of them in the game. Not bad for a few clicks, eh? Dead Space 3 will also launch with a limited edition that features two exclusive bundles of content... [*]First Bundle - Contains, according to the press conference, "it sports a flamboyant golden finish to provide protection from long-term space exposure and thick armour for… unspecified reasons." It was also stated to contain a "negotiator" weapon, described as "capable of bursting a man-sized organism into several pieces with a single shot." [*]Witness the Truth - This bundle features another suit, called the "Witness suit", and the Evangeliser Weapon. The Evangeliser was described as... "sports a souped-up AL-2g assault rifle on the top with an Emerson 2100 "Big Boy" tactical shotgun on the bottom." At this point, we're pretty excited. Pre-orders are available through Amazon. 7. Very well done Squishy, I've promoted this to the front page. It was definitely worth the wait.
  8. Those of you who have yet to purchase Battlefield 3 should probably hold out until September 11th, which EA has claimed as the date its Premium Edition will hit store shelves. For $70, the content you recieve with the Premium edition will throw quite a punch. It includes... [*]All current and future expansion packs, including Karkand, Close Quarter, Armored Kill, Aftermath, and End Game. Each retail for $15 individually. [*]15 automatic multiplayer unlocks, as described as a "head start" kit. Members who already have the game have an option of purchasing "Premium" (note this is not the same as the physical "Premium Edition") for the price tag of $50. Premium allows gamers to download all existing DLC, as well as get early access to the unreleased expansions. All in all, the physical Premium Edition could be quite the bargain at $70. If all of the retail prices for the expansions are $15, the price for the DLC alone is $75. When you throw in multiplayer unlocks and the base game all for $5 less, FPS fans probably won't be complaining. Click here to view the article

  10. What are you using as a firewall/anti-virus/scanner?
  11. Very good guide. It's taken me a long time to reply because I don't like doing so until I've gone through the entire thing, but I don't know how long it will take me since it's quite large. Good work on it. :smile:One suggestion I would have is potentially shortening the paragraphs and instead doing numbered steps limited to a sentence or two. When people look for guides they generally want something moderately quick and easily readable. With that said, you shouldn't remove in-depth instructions where their needed. Infact, perhaps you could have a quick 1. 2. 3. step walk-through and then have in-depth instructions after it for those who need it.
  12. I would like to welcome you into our clan. Congratulations on being accepted into The RuneScape Rebelz! ____________ I. What's Required of You ____________ 1. Forum Activity As a member of TRR, it is your responsibility to periodically check up on the clan forums. This is important for many reasons, the least of which is so you can stay updated on clan news and important announcements. Many members choose to bookmark the forums - Forum Index - and simply check up on them quickly before or after logging into RuneScape. Posting on the forums is a necessary part of becoming involved with our clans community, and promotions are often based on how active clan members are on the forums. ____________ 2. In-Game Communication It might seem silly, I know; but you would be amazed at how many people join and then complain that they didn't ever know when an event was taking place. To prevent that and to get to know other members of the clan, staying active in our in-game friends AND clan chat is a must. Our clan chat is 'The Rebelz', and members are expected to be in it whenever they're on RuneScape. You are allowed to leave the chat in certain situations (e.g. checking up on a merchant chat, moving chats for an event, etc), but generally you should be in the clan chat while on RuneScape. ____________ 3. Other Tips Other great communication tools that can help your chances at a promotion greatly include IRC and Ventrilo. For information on clan channels, please click the 'Communication' drop-down menu in the news header. You can learn more about using IRC specifically in our guide. ____________ Quick Information Clan Chat: The Rebelz IRC Channel: #Rebelz It's great to see you in TRR. We all look forward to getting to know you! If you want, you can introduce yourself to other members by posting an introduction.

  15. What is it going to be called? The Xbox 720? The Xbox 3?
  16. Yeah, virtually no games ever come out in the summer besides the normal B-titles like NCAA Football which has a reason to (upcoming football season). I personally buy most of my games in the summer, though, since there are usually great deals.

  19. I'm not sure, I know they do the UK through the Amazon UK site. I think they generally will ship to most places in Europe but it depends on the item.
  20. BuyBlackOps2.orgI really don't know why. It was on the cheap though and came as you see it. It's supposed to be a price tracker for the best deals and information on Black Ops 2.Basically I'm just posting this thread to get some feedback on it. I don't know if I should leave it all as is, or re-do the whole thing into a single page (as opposed to the blog format) if it looks kinda shady right now.
  21. A recently removed job listing at Microsoft has gamers abuzz as rumors and speculation about the next iteration of the Xbox console run wild. The following excerpt was taken from the listing... 18 months would have the 360 successor (the 720?) on store shelves in February 2014 at the latest. Analysts seem to think that a late 2013 release is more likely; this is entirely within the realm of possibility as the job listing specifically said "over the next 18 months," meaning sometime within that time frameWhen questioned, a Microsoft employee released the following statement: "Microsoft is always looking for talented people to innovate now and in the future. We don't have any further comment on this or any other job posting." Click here to view the article
