Following a long and rowdy wait, PS3 and PC users were finally treated to a statement in December that pegged the release date of the missing Skyrim DLC in "early 2013." Bethesda has now released a follow-up statement that provides more details on the expected arrival date of February. Although the PS3 is still without a solid release date, Bethesda is acknowledging its mistakes by offering the DLC for 50% off during its first week. A not so subtle ploy to win over the disgruntled among us, maybe, but it is a positive first step in the right direction.Following the fiasco that has seen over 7 months of delays, broken promises, and pessimistic twitter statements, I personally vowed to never purchase the DLC when (or if) it ever released on my PS3. However, the launch discount is tempting - how often do you see reduced prices on Bethesda DLC? Oblivion's Shivering Isles, widely considered the gold standard, can still be found on PSN for $30. If you ever plan on purchasing this content, the launch week would appear to be the time. Click here to view the article

Fallout on TV, Assassin's Creed Movie, and Dust 514 Beta
David replied to Jake's topic in General Gaming
Not sure what a Fallout TV series would really entail. There are already Assassin's Creed movies though, they did that animated story about Ezio up until his death. -
The price has actually dropped to $60.00. Must really need the shelf space.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of people aren't huge fans of 4chan. I wasn't trying to link this to 4chan through the gif (If that's what you were talking about) anyway, I just think it's hilarious and perfectly captures my attitude on most things. Do you actively try to think in English, or do you just catch yourself doing it? It's probably hard for a lot of Americans like myself to understand since learning 2nd languages in uncommon, and I can't really think in mine since it's dead (Latin).

So today I walked into my English class and discovered that we were going to be spending the whole day setting up a Wordpress blog for ourselves for future assignments. I figured that since we're in the year 2013 the majority of college students would be quite familiar with the whole process and I was up for a pretty slow lecture. I was wrong. As my professor began walking us through the process of how to create a Wordpress account - yes, seriously, this story begins with typing in your email address and hitting a button - shit immediately hit the fan. A good 40% of our class was unable to successfully complete this task, and "Teh sitez is broken z0mg LEL!1" rang throughout the classroom. As the class continued, more and more people became lost as my professor explained the basic processes of things like making a post, clicking a check-box for privacy, and making a title. To give you examples of the sort of things I was listening to while this was all going on, I began jotting down actual quotes in my notebook (instead of, you know, taking class notes)... "How do you get to your own blog again?" "How do you get the link in your email?" "What is a URL?" "Where do you get the URL?" Keep in mind that these are actual quotes. I thought back to the thousands of PM's and help threads involving similar issues that I've had to solve for people over the years. It was at this moment that I realized I needed to make a decision - to use my knowledge for good to help others in their time of need, or to sit back and laugh at the hilarity of the entire situation. It was at this moment that something odd happened. People that are bilingual often describe the magical time where you first realize that you are actually thinking in your second language. Well, as I gazed on upon the dozens of confused classmates, flustered professor, and technology-illiterate whoo-girls, a single thought entered into my mind. It was not a coherent sentence, mind you. It was just this single gif... It was at this moment in my life that I realized that I had officially become fully fluent and integrated in the internet. After coming upon this realization, I looked back and chuckled to myself over the previous "use my knowledge for good/evil" dilemma - how could I have even considered there to be an option? I proceeded to then sit back and thoroughly enjoy the mass chaos that was unfolding before my eyes over these simplistic tasks, all the while pleasurably keeping the knowledge that could fix all of the issues people were experiencing to my smug self.

Not that it matters if you read the article or not, but it's seriously only like 3-4 full paragraphs. Lol. I don't disagree with your opinion in regards to the army/police, but I also don't see how simply owning a gun is "wrong".

You can enjoy the game without liking the characters.

Lol'd when I saw myself in the poll.

It's named "Lollipop Chainsaw".

Not a bad deal. It's a full $20 cheaper than the next cheapest store that I could (Newegg).

I am super bummed with the lack of ranting/angry replies to this thread. If it helps I will seriously add additions to the poll.

So for my homework I was supposed to read the following and write a response. I initially pretty much took a dump on the essay above, but after I read a few positive opinions on it, remembered that I go to one of the most liberal universities in the world and should probably turn it down a notch. I'll post what I wrote and then you can share your thoughts on the above since it's oddly relevant with all of the shootings recently.

It's supposed to be like that, the width is fixed. I personally find it easier to read even though I have a 1080p screen and have huge gaps like you, because the content isn't drawn out to the extent a paragraph is 1 line of text. Most sites are fixed width, though I can see why someone wouldn't like it vs the old style.

I've decided that I'm going to change the default skin to Developmental. I know that there are tons of bugs and things that straight-up look awful right now, but have some faith that these will be resolved in the future. The main thing I'm aiming for right now is consistency across the entire site. Now that that's resolved, I'm probably going to end up restyling most of the elements that are within the wrapper. If you really want to use the old default skin it's still available, but you should also tell me what you hate about the new one here so I can fix it.

Call the police.

Most people have. It's primarily a general gaming site now (there is still a RuneScape section though), so most things discussed aren't even related to RS.

Obama. So after trumpeting change in the campaign preceding his original election, we're then given the last 4 crappy years of what's at best stagnancy. Even many of his supporters express disappointment. Fast forward to the last election, where he's "OMAHLAWD LOWER TAXES GO 'MURICA LEL". Less than a week into the new year there's news that I'm going to have a massive INCREASE in my flipping income taxes, and last time I checked I make way... WAY... less than the fucking 400k a year or whatever was said to be the only tier to see increases. If the middle class is seeing increases who is seeing these cuts? By the way, I'm not saying Romney is better. I didn't even vote. inb4 "if you didn't vote you can't complain" - fuck you people. Your vote doesn't even matter.
