It sounds like you used a mod that overwrote the texture files. Have you used anything other than the high-res texture pack? You're probably going to have to re-install the game cleanly either way.
-
Have you tried re-installing the texture pack? You should be able to delete it from "Data Files" in the launch windows. After that, you'll need to re-verify the game through Steam to have the files installed again.

Is ESO Dungeons & Dragons with Skyrim?
David replied to DeathclawSlayer's topic in Elder Scrolls Online Discussion
From what little I know of D&D I don't really see that much in common. I mean, I guess it's similar in that it's the medieval / fantasy genre. -

World of Warcraft would be a better comparison. -
That's already included at the top as a reference to the last list, except it's my less spammy version. .... My less spammy version... Which I now see is pointless to keep running. Mother of God, that is the greatest thing I've ever seen.

Saw that you were comparing our fake internet penises. Panicked about what would happen to my fake e-rep. Discovered that you "beat" me by ~1 inch... While I have about 6 times the girth.

Tom Clancy just randomly died, what the hell?

Benedict Cumberbatch voice acting as Smaug... Dat voice. Not really sure how happy I am to see Legolas (or Tauriel) apparently having a large(ish) role since he's not actually in the book. Cameo appearances to relate the trilogies are fairly necessary for the movie audience, but lets not get carried away here. Also, way too much CGI at 0:24. In fact it might even be a background drawing. Looks terrible. Is the elf at :27 that nerd from Grandma's Boy? Legolas doesn't even look like Orlando Bloom, is that even him? He must be wearing some sort of contact to change his eyes. Still really excited though.

The video works for me, although it buffers slowly. Pretty interesting.

Comprehensive Document w/ All Known Skill Lines
David replied to David's topic in Elder Scrolls Online Discussion
Unfortunately I'm not sure who should get credit for actually putting this together, but it wasn't me - I'm just linking to it. -
It's both an example (for now) and the official guild page. I wanted to launch the guild database before ESO is released, but until it actually ships there isn't going to be much activity (on the guild page, anyway) in any official Elder Souls guild. So for now, it's just sitting there accumulating members and interest while serving as an example to people who want to make their own guilds here.

Welcome! It's good to see a few converts from lurkers to members lately. Really enjoyed reading your introduction; I think you'll fit in fine here. It's clear you've done your research on the place!

UpdateWe have completed a fantastic skill database containing all known skills and their effects. It contains up-to-date information in an easy format, so please use it! Original ArticleEarlier today, ElderSouls.com member ESO_Leaks (special thanks!) posted a tentative version of the racial skills for both the Aldmeri Dominion and the Daggerfall Covenant. The usual reservations about changes between the ESO beta and the game's final release apply, but it's safe to say that we now have a good idea of the direction Zenimax is taking each of the races. AltmerUltimate [*]Highborn – Increase magicka recovery by 100 for 15 seconds. Passive [*]Destruction Talent – (Self) Increase XP gain with the destruction staff skill line by 15%. [*]Spellcharge – (Self) Increase magicka recovery while in combat by 7. [*]Gift of Magnus – (Self) Increase maximum magicka by 10%. [*]Elemental Talent – (Self) Increase damage done by Cold, Fire, or Shock effects by 3%. BosmerUltimate [*]Summon Bear – (Instant / Self / 100 Ultimate) Summon a Bear to attack nearby enemies for 15 seconds. Passive [*]Archer Expertise – Increase XP gain with the bow skill line by 15%. [*]Vigor – (Self) Increase stamina recovery while in combat by 7. [*]Resist Affliction – (Self) Increase poison and disease resistance by 50. [*]Stealthy – (Self) Increase stealth radius by 3 meters. KhajiitUltimate [*]Eye of Fear – (Instant / 36 meter range / 120 Ultimate) Fear target and cause it to take 5% additional damage from all attacks for 5 seconds. Passive [*]Medium Armor Expertise – (Self) Increase XP gain with medium armor skill line by 15%. [*]**Vigor – (Self) Increase stamina recovery while in combat by 7. [*]**Stealthy – (Self) Increase stealth radius by 3 meters. [*]Carnage – (Self) Increase critical rating for melee attacks by 35 and damage done by successful critical hits by 10%. **Awaiting confirmation. Likely incorrect due to repeats with the Bosmer racial skills. Click here to view the article

Maramal is an essential NPC, so you can't kill him. But yes, he is required for the marriage quest (the Bonds of Matrimony).

Way earlier than I thought it would since previous games have been released on the PC around a year later. I'll still probably wait until the price drops fairly low, but this is still good to know.

She just stops following you and returns to Breezehome. You can get her to follow you again by talking to her there, so no worries.

Where, Oh Where Is My Shadowmere?
David replied to DeathclawSlayer's question in Skyrim Questions and Help
Yeah, there's really not much else you can do besides looking in the usual places or where he may have died and subsequently respawned. He is known to disappear from the game on occasion. If you have Hearthfire installed, he may also be at one of your houses. -
That's what we tried before, but we found people wouldn't create accounts just to make one thread / comment unless they were planning on doing it anyway. Guests can only post in a few select forums, like Questions and Help, so for now it's not a huge spam issue either. Once ESO is close to release we'll almost definitely change back to requiring accounts though.

David replied to DeathclawSlayer's question in Skyrim Questions and Help
Shadowmere will generally respawn/return to the dark pool by the sanctuary where you got him originally OR where he was killed. Have you checked those places? He can be bugged but it's a good bet he's in on of those two places. -
That's so a rogue Editor can't decimate thousands of hypothetically existing pages at once, since editing should be done before it's approved (when you should be able to edit) anyway. Fixed the link.
