So a bunch of skills are "useless" in the current metagame. A perfect example is woodcutting - there's literally no reason to woodcut anymore given its dearth of high level rewards and terrible profits. How should Jagex revive dead skills and how should it prevent them from dying again?

Even that's useful in that new dungeon that just came out. With the new slayer monsters. The firemaking version of the LRC?too bad that new dungeon is useless.Firemaking.That is all.

My friend has been nagging me about this- specifically firemaking. But I make all my money from woodcutting so if it's really "dead" tell everyone you know to stop cutting my yews!

F2P is a different game, this post specifically applied to P2P. I guess WC is still viable in F2P.My friend has been nagging me about this- specifically firemaking. But I make all my money from woodcutting so if it's really "dead" tell everyone you know to stop cutting my yews!

Hunter and Firemaking.
I remember the premiere of Hunter, and there was 2000 people on the beach trapping birds. Now, everyone i know just use it as a "vacation" skill, something else to do while you take a break from money making or skilling.
Sorry, Firemaking just speaks for itself. No offense to anyone that ACTUALLY likes FM out there

Firemaking is still pretty useless. Just as a skill idea in general, there's not much point to it. woodcutting at least made sense, because you can use logs to make a variety of different things. Also, Blexun must love this thread.

Why has nobody mentioned fletching? It has never been better in anybodies life to go out, cut a magic log, teleport, pick flax, spin flax, make a magic shortbow and then string it.

imo they should just do a remodel on the skill guilds and have sum rewards available like they did by making the gold cannon

Yeah, this was the one I'm thinking of. At least you can make a portable range with Firemaking. Why has nobody mentioned fletching? It has never been better in anybodies life to go out, cut a magic log, teleport, pick flax, spin flax, make a magic shortbow and then string it.

Well, with all the fishing bots out there, there really is no need to fish anymore. Prices of fish are uber cheap, and you get horrible horrible gp's per hour now days fishing not to mention the shit xp hr.
