  1. Your are talking about spiked armor which actually doesn't reflect dmg it just dmg mobs which attack you in melee range. However I would love if it would be possible to create a build with a high reflection rate in combination with regernation and life steel.
  2. I was thinking as a Tank you wanna be as tanky as needed (+ a little bit extra when things aren't running as planned) and dish out as much damage as possible. A Dragonknight tank will have at least 400 life which is more than twice the amount a Dps will have, he has more defence because he wears heavy armor, he has several skills which reduce incomming dmg. That beeing said a DK tank will be at least 4 times tougher than a normal DPS and more than 8 times tougher than a real glass canon. This is without even using tanking gear.
  3. The only thing which would answer my question is if we would know what stats are available and how high they can be + the knowledge what those actually do.
  4. The Question is how will tanking be in ESO. from one of the AUA's: [*]You won’t need to get every enemy’s attention. Every player can take a few hits from standard attacks, and they have lots of ways to take care of themselves. Many healing abilities affect an area, so your healer (if you only have one) should be able to take care of several party members. [*]In a fight with a large group of enemies, a tank’s ability to control the fight is critical. Stun the healers, interrupt the spellcasters—you’re the best party member for the job, because your stuns and interrupts will tend to get those enemies to attack you back. [*]You do need to stay engaged with tougher monsters, like bosses. They hit much harder, and your damage mitigation and extra health will keep you alive where other characters might die. In ESO you will have just 1 aggro ability (1h/Shield) which taunts a mob, that skill will be very important for boss fights so that a DPS especially a melee DPS doesn't get aggro. In order to get to a boss you will have to fight your way through lots of mobs. Therefore a Tank will need lots of CC abilities, AOE skills and enough damage to keep them attacking him. This means that a Tank might need two sets of gear. 1 for dmg and 1 for boss tanking. The question for me is how much damage will a tank be able to do while he is still able to tank every Boss?
  5. The third link is an interview with Maria Aliprando which holds some nice infos the other 2 are just some basic articles.
  6. That's all I got: http://www.onrpg.com...-and-cosplay/2/ http://www.thunderbo...online-hands-on http://teso.mmorpg-l...aria-aliprando/
  7. Nice. So guild stores are in I hope that there will be enough 50 man guilds to show them that the better put in a AH. Or a compromise would be if you could browse guild stores even if you aren't in that guild, so you could buy from them or sell goods they are looking for but to offer your own goods you would have to join a guild.
  8. not all of themin the video from quakecon you could see 1 morph of a Templer ability but they said that there will be 4 morph per skill.
  9. I also was thinking about a 1h/shield + 2H build which you could play either as tank or as berserker depending on your gear but I'm not sure that a pure melee build would be usefull for PvP. The main reason why I focus more on caster builds is that casters focus on magicka and put the rest of the points into health while nearly all other builds will need to spend points on all 3 attributes. Do you have an ideas for my Healer build? I'm currently failing to get one together which I really like. I think as a healer you will be a prime target in PvP so it should have high survibility enough heal a little bit of dmg (best in form of DoT's) and maybe some sort of support.
  10. I'm currently sitting between 2 chairs. I know that extrem build are great for PvP and PvE that's why I normally tend to play a glass canon. But on the other hand I like to play high pressure builds with lot's of DoTs which have enough defensive abilities + regeneration to outlast others. Builds like this are so much fun because you can take down 3 or 4 opponents in a really annoying way. /Edit: Actually If I'm thinking about I might just go with a Healer and give him some nasty DoT's
  11. Yeah I just go with dmg reduction until I know what's better. I know what 40% less dmg means but I have no clue what 300 more def means :-) But what I was wandering, the Sorcerer has also 2 dmg reduction spells one 75% and one 40% does he than really get immune to all sorts of dmg? Dmg wise I currently don't borther to much about the numbers, I'm quite sure those will change completly until lunch. The Build i posted would be a solo build for PvE/PvP and I would change it depending on the purpose and the group I'm with.
  12. I'm still working on my build but I thought about something like this: Altmer Dragonknight Mage Destruction Staff: Obsidian Shield/Destructive Touch Fire Breath Searing Strike Impulse Weakness of Elements Ultimate: Dragonknight Standard Restoration Staff: Regeneration Fire Breath/Entropy Dragon Blood Spiked Armor Obsidian Shield Ultimate: Magma Armor The biggest downside for me is that I currently don't have a Stun. Kiting won't be easy in this game because you don't have cooldowns on abilities like the Teleport from the Nightblade which is also a stun. If someone tries to kite me I just stay at range and use my range abilities and when someone gets in close than I drop everything I have. But I'm not completly happy with it, but as long we don't know each and every morph it will be hard to nail it down.
  13. The passiv doesn't trigger effects like burn/chill and so to 100% it just increases it by a 100%. There are weapon which have 5% chance to trigger burn with the passiv it then would be 10%. The first time I read I also thought it would be a 100% :-)
  14. was in an article of mmorpg.com nearly a year ago back than several other sources said the same thing. So it could have changed but if so they didn't mentioned anything. Your mounts will also have 3 stats speed, stamina and storage you can feed than max 30 times and depending on the food you improve one stat. source here is shoddy cast. The DK can reduce the incoming dmg with obsidian shield plus spiked armor for 70% and you could use the ultimate which caps the dmg at 3% plus with dragon blood heals for 25% gives you HP regneration and improves your received healing.I mean you can put down lots of Dots on your target than give your self defensiv buffs plus regeneration to stay alive and keep refreshing those DoTs. Seems to me a pretty nasty build for PvP but we will have to see how it will work out in game.
  15. I normally tend to play a Assassine/Archer but a Dragonknight Mage seems just to good to not play one.
  16. Won't work they said that you will get enough points (49) to max out one stat and get another one to around half. So i guess that you can spend up to 30 points into one Stat.PS: A Dragonknight Mage will have some awesome survibility, cause he has a nice amount of HPs great defensive skills plus a good amount of healing because Power not only improves dmg but also healing.
