  1. The console commands that give him a marriage option WILL adjust his relationship status. Judging from your question it doesn't sound like that's what you really want, though. As far as "relationships" go, Skyrim only recognizes NPCs as being married, not married, and available to be married. Vekel's "relationship" isn't any of these, it's just backstory he provides through his dialogue. Going off of this, it sounds like you would like to remove his conversations involving Tonilia for role-playing purposes. Unfortunately I know of no console command that does this, and changing it will likely involve something much more in-depth.
  2. You're correct with everything you've said, of course, but I wasn't arguing some of those points. Yes, if they had this high quality hardware across the board and came out far ahead of the consoles at this price, they would be a good buy. What I'm saying, though, is that they WON'T make these things at a loss for the reasons I mentioned above. For what it's worth, I looked at their site and they seem to specialize in customized gaming PCs that are fairly overpriced. Since they are only making the hardware, that's where they're going to make their profits. I'm sure they're skimping on things as well in a similar fashion standard PCs from Dell and HP do. They always list fantastic individual components for the CPU / GPU that make the PC look like a great system at a low price. The things they don't include in their 4 bullet descriptions, such as the PSU, is where you're going to get screwed. This is a really good point. They may not be that great compared to user-build PCs, but those people aren't the target demographic anyway. The increased exposure for Steam is a good move on Valve's part even if many of the "boxes" by third parties will end up being fairly crappy.
  3. I still don't understand why anyone would by any of these Steam boxes. The whole point of a console is having a mainstream, common denominator system. There's a huge user-base with exactly the same thing so you get a ton of mileage out of developing for it. They're backed by huge corporations with multiple divisions that are capable of taking a straight-up loss on the hardware because they know they'll eventually make money on the software. The Steam box accomplishes none of that. Yes, the $499 price may look good when they're throwing around specs and dropping R9 270 in a press release, but there's 0 chance that it will be able to match the same price:actual cost ratio of a PS3 or XB1. Has anyone heard of iBuyPower? No. It sounds like some Chinese knock-off brand, and it probably is. There's no way they have the resources to take a loss on the price of hardware. Not only are they going to make less than Sony / Microsoft on software, they're going to make NOTHING because their system is for a 3rd party infrastructure. The Steam boxes are just PCs with horizontal cases marketed as consoles. So it comes down to this - what is the advantage of buying and upgrading a steam box when you can build a PC? None that I can think of.

    Hi!

That's still up in the air. Every time I think I decide on something someone makes a new build thread that entices me. I want to play a bit before I commit to something, so hopefully they'll have a large scale beta closer to release.

    Hi!

As of now, probably an Altmer. I feel like that's what everyone will be using though, so I might switch.

    Hi!

Welcome to the site, Ivalice. Will you be playing on the PC? I'm currently planning on the Aldmeri Dominion as well, so maybe I'll see you around when the game launches.
  7. Finally fixed the mobile home page.

  8. Oh, yeah. It doesn't matter when you buy it; there's always the 3 initial months (unless something changes).
  9. Where's that perk listed? I thought you got 3 subscription-free months with the purchase of the base game. Are you saying there's a promotion for 4?
  10. That's an interesting suggestion, and no it wouldn't be hard. I don't know if that's the behavior people would expect though.
  11. After an admittedly unfortunate amount of time, Elder Souls members Areodon and Musclemagic finally got through to this lazy and useless misunderstood administrator and championed an all-or-nothing update to the skills database. Thanks to them, I'm pleased to (finally) announce that our skills database has been updated with the most current skill information known to the TESO community! View Skill Database Updated Skill TreesWhich is, you know... Every tree. [*]Racial [*]Class [*]Armor [*]Weapon [*]Guild [*]Alliance War [*]World Almost every individual skill had their numerical values vastly adjusted, and some even changed effects, so it's likely necessary to recheck the practicality of your builds. In less devastating news, a large amount of information on morphs was added to many of the skills - some of them look pretty great! Interface ChangesThese updates have been around for a few weeks, but I'm sure the majority of our visitors haven't been on the page recently to notice. If you've missed it, here's a quick recap! [*]Sections now default as collapsed, for easier and quicker navigation between trees. Credit for this suggestion is awarded to Musclemagic. [*]Expand / Collapse is explicitly stated, so the non-techies among us better understand the functionality. [*]The buttons at the top no longer link to specific sections. Instead, they toggle the collapse / expand animation. Test audiences indicate that everyone but me hates this. [*]The switch between +/- no longer causes the text to shift. This unnoticeable update noticeably increases overall sex appeal. I'm also considering adding color-coded cells (or skill name text color) to differentiate between open and closed descriptions (this would be in addition to the +/-). I haven't managed to get this to work without an abhorrent rainbow of conflicting colors, but yeah. Additional suggestions welcome. Miscellaneous NotesFor those things that just don't fit elsewhere. [*]Disclaimer added to the top of the page that subtlety states "PLEASE STOP SENDING ME EMAILS ABOUT HOW EVERYTHING IS WRONG BECAUSE THE GAME COMES OUT IN APRIL!1one" Seriously, guys, this is not supposed to be an official locked-in resource. These values WILL change up to and after release. Corrections are very welcome and appreciated, however. [*]Special thanks to krave. 15. What do you mean? From my memory, every movie I can think of has parents just as surprised and excited as the kids when Christmas is narrowly saved.
  16. Theory 1 Santa only delivers presents to poor children. Parents of children in Christmas movies all either coincidentally did not grow up poor, or write off their own experiences as childhood imagination.
  17. What are some specific examples?
