  1. Skilling is awful money. You don't make anything. Yeah, you can buy all the ingredients, make everything from scratch, and come up with what LOOKS like a profit. However, that doesn't mean anything since while you were spending hundreds of hours on that making like 40k/h, could have been making more money, faster, the entire time with combat. You can't just account for what you're making doing a skill, you have to figure in what you're losing by not doing something else at the same time.Runecrafting is the only decent non-combat oriented money- maker.
  2. Just downloaded and installed. We will be using this for the next war btw, so everyone should check it out! Perhaps it should be added to the war topics if it hasn't been. And Ferg, you really did a fantastic job with it! I was very impressed when I saw everything.
  3. Out of those, RuneCrafting by a long-shot.
  4. I would like to welcome you into our clan; congratulations on being accepted into the RuneScape Rebelz! ____________ I. What's Required of You ____________ 1. Forum Activity As a member of TRR, it is your responsibility to periodically check up on the clan forums. This is important for many reasons, the least of which is so you can stay updated on clan news and important announcements. Many members choose to bookmark the forums - Forum Index - and simply check up on them quickly before or after logging into RuneScape. Posting on the forums is a necessary part of becoming involved with our clans community, and promotions are often based on how active clan members are on the forums. ____________ 2. In-Game Communication It might seem silly, I know; but you would be amazed at how many people join and then complain that they didn't ever know when an event was taking place. To prevent that and to get to know other members of the clan, staying active in our in-game friends AND clan chat is a must. Our friends chat is 'TheRebelz', and members are expected to be in it whenever they're on RuneScape. You are allowed to leave the chat in certain situations (e.g. checking up on a merchant chat, moving chats for an event, etc), but generally you should be in the clan chat while on RuneScape. ____________ 3. Other Tips Other great communication tools that can help your chances at a promotion greatly include IRC and Ventrilo. For information on clan channels, please click the 'Communication' drop-down menu in the news header. You can learn more about using IRC specifically in our guide. ____________ Quick Information Friends Chat: TheRebelz Clan Chat: The Rebelz IRC Channel: #Rebelz It's great to see you in TRR, we all look forward to getting to know you!

  9. The sad truth is that nothing ever changes from the Beta. Obviously they add content like maps/campaign, but don't expect any gameplay to change.

  15. I accidentally deleted some (apparently) important files while editing things in FTP. Note: when using ctrl+ to select multiple files, make sure a directory isn't also selected way up on the list out of your view. The board was originally offline, but I decided to just turn it back on since everything is still technically usable. Right now I'm working on getting a back-up of the affected directory restored; if this works, things will return to normal. Otherwise I'm just going to upgrade from our current version - 3.1.4 - to 3.2.2, which will also solve the problem. The thing is, if we upgrade, we're going to lose all of our custom modifications, skins, images, etc so the look will be pretty bland for awhile.Either way, it should all work again by tonight. If not, sometime tomorrow at the latest (barring implosion).
  16. Submit ideas for high-level skill updates and we’ll pitch the best of them at RuneFest. The audience of the ‘You Be The Judge’ insider session will then pick a favourite, which will be coded up and released at a later date. This is your chance to be the creator! View the full article
  17. Okay, your screen is about 2/3 the size of mine, so what everything is developed on is definitely different so I'm glad you posted this. That's what it should look like. Now, there's not really any way to fix your issue without removing some things. For the drop-down menus, I could rename them so that "Community Events" would be "Events," but then it would look weird and wasteful to those with larger screens. Maybe I'll try to get them set as a fixed width, and then have 4 menu options instead of three, so there can just be two even rows for you. I'm also working on centering them, but it's a complex issue involving CSS and Javascript, and early "LOL may b dis will work?" hasn't been promising. Might just have to totally change it. The navigation bar on the very top of the page would just have to have some things taken off, but the only one that's really useless right now is "Portal." The side-bar things don't really have a fix.

  19. So I've been updating it a bit. I changed the announcemnt/information/IRC client etc to have images instead of ".:: | Announcement | ::." and what-not in text form. Now I'm trying to make the menu on the bottom better so there's more space. Also thinking of adding PERMANENT count-down timers for events on the top, kind of like what we use for wars now. Except. Always. Some (Mono) have complained that the new "New Content" way to go to the active topics isn't as quick as the old one since there are submenus. Note that although you can use the submenus to mouse over to "Since Last Forum Visit / 24 Hours" you can also just click the content types without mousing over to just go straight to "Last 24 Hours." Which is exactly the same as the old "Active Topics" link. So there. It's the same. Take that Paul. But anyways, leave feedback.
  20. I don't know why you didn't just say you wanted to stay as a Diplomat; if people don't come around for weeks they're generally moved until they come back just so we know who's "ready and active" so to speak. You weren't ever demoted, you were easily one of the best Diplomats we ever had. I was extremely disappointed that you hadn't been around recently since you were one of our best members, even when not active on RS. I hope you change your mind and return to us actively.
