  1. Ah, good catch. Just looked and there's a minor bug when moving forums from category to forum mode - the posting permissions don't bounce back. Should be fixed now.

Remember to post your application in the correct forum, located in Applications..You probably won't be able to as you still have to validate your email address. To do this, simply visit your account under the email you signed up with and click the link in the email we sent you to validate your account.More information can be found on in our Joining Instructions topic.
  3. Good detective work. We should spread the word in the CC.
  4. Just select the paint can near the top right to view them. The first one should already be the default; if you still have the old ones, clear your browsers cache and refresh. It should also help with the profile-bar issues when used with a smaller screen. In theory the user bar will now just hover over it. Will have to get feedback from Muscle.
  5. The following are details concerning ElderSouls.com. Board 3.2.3 (Forum) With IP Board 3.2.3, using a forum has never been so easy. Many of the usual tasks that made forums seem archaic in the age of facebook are gone, replaced with instantly updating pages. Need a few examples? Hover your mouse over a member's name, or attempt to quote a post and then use the fast-reply feature at the bottom of every thread. I hope you're pleased with the results! There are literally hundreds of those "little things" that make your experience much, much easier. In fact, while writing this thread I learned that you're able to use the control button to select several different, independent blocks of the post and then apply formatting to your selections. It's great stuff, and what makes IPB 3.2.3 the most modern forum software available (yes, I'm looking at you vBulletin). Content (Pages) The IP Content add-on (listed as the "Pages" link on the navigation bar) offers the ability to promote nearly anything to the front page. Articles (front page content) can consist of posts, blogs, and even things such as file downloads. So if you submit quality, original content, you may even be fortunate enough to have your content flagged and promoted to an article for all to see! Downloads Using our Downloads add-on, members are able to upload and download their own files to share between the rest of the community. Modifications, graphics, and virtually any other type of file are all supported. Users can comment on and rate different files (depending on the permission settings you set for your file) while searching for whatever it is they're looking for. Members who submit custom work they've created are also able to set a price for their files - if they so choose to do so. Others who wish to download and use these files will have to pay whatever amount is decided on by the creator. It's a good way to earn a bit of money doing one of your hobbies! Blogs Have you ever considered starting a blog? Maybe you don't know how to go about setting one up, or maybe you lacked exposure and had few readers. These issues are fixed with our integrated blog system; all members have access to create their very own personal blogs on our website. Complete with commenting systems, custom skinning options, the ability for private blogs, and traffic/reader tracking, you have access to virtually every amenity you could want. Since the blogs are all integrated into the rest of our site and community, you can be sure that your blog will get plenty of exposure to other members. If you already have an existing blog, you're also able to link to it through your member profile. Nexus (Store and Support) Nexus brings quite a lot to the table. Nexus is the engine that drives the paid files available through Downloads, and essentially creates a store that users are able to browse through. Members are able to add items to their carts and purchase things accordingly. Besides this, Nexus also offers a personal support system that members are able to use to contact different departments amongst the site. For example, should you have an issue with an item you've purchased through the store you can create a support ticket and submit it to the sales department. This takes the place of sending Administrators PMs or creating threads for everyone else to see. It's a method of contacting all those who are able to assist you at once, without notifying anyone else. This feature, and others, can be accessed through your your client area. Your client area lists things such your purchases, pending invoices, referrals, the aforementioned support system, and more. This can easily be accessed at any time by clicking on your profile bar and selecting "Client Area." Gallery Our Gallery is a convenient way to share and sort all types of images you may want to post. Remember the days of uploading to off-site hosts such as Photobucket or Imageshack? There's no need. Simply upload your photos to our gallery, and your images will be available for everyone else to see. Every image you upload will be easily accessible from a list on your member profile (you can still obtain the URL and post specific pictures in threads). You're also able to create multiple albums, and even slideshows, from the images you upload. Chat We offer a personal chat system that is similar to many instant messenger or IRC clients, except available only to members of our site and forums. Need to contact another member but PMing is too redundant or slow for the information you need to share? Perhaps you'd be better off scheduling a meeting on our chat system and sharing your information with the other member live!

  7. Problem with LA Noire is that it's not the complete edition. Then again I'm pretty sure there's some type of Rockstar pass you can buy for like ~$8-12 along with the standard edition that gives you all the DLC. If the complete edition is even $40, the standard + pass is still a good deal.
  8. Xbox is probably better if you're just interested in playing shooters and gaming. The Playstation 3 is known more for its exclusive titles and having the capability of being a "media center". I have a decent media set-up, and the capabilities of the PS3 far outdo those of the 360 when it comes to integrating with other types of media and hardware (AV receiver, blu-ray for example). 80% of gamers have no need or recognition of this though. You should just choose on what you need, and you're probably correct that the 360 is a good choice for your needs.
  9. The problem is though that the logo can't actually be moved to the right, it just as to be re-sized. So is the entire "Souls" over the member bar, or is it just a letter or two?
  10. That's true, but that ties into the perk system being kind of annoyingly required for destruction. Destruction damage doesn't scale as you level whatsoever (enemies and other types of damage do) so it becomes increasingly worse. You HAVE to use perks just to keep up.Now, you can enchant armor so that all spells cost zero magicka. That renders the low damage moot, but it's kind of broken in and of itself.
  11. Good luck man. Interesting idea for a thread by the way.
  12. The more I play the more I hate the perk system. There's just too much stuff and too few perks. Smithing is especially bad since you literally can't use 99% of it without investing 6+ perks (very significant when most players will only see around 40). I had 100 smithing just on iron daggers, and just now unlocked a few different types up to Daedric.
  13. I added an "Other" forum for games who don't have their genres listed. Otherwise I also edited it so that you could post threads in the RPG, Shooter, etc forums outside of the specific game sub-forums. (e.g. posting in "Roleplaying" without being in the WoW sub-forum.)
  14. I'll work on the logo within the next few days. Any chance you could take a screenshot so I know how much I need to reduce the size by?As others have said, the "View New Content" is on the top right (at the veeerrryyy top). Eventually I'll add some type of bar similar to TRR's (although not a full news header) with quick links. Added the WoW subforum and made it so that you can post in each of the categories outside of the specific game sub-forums.If you edit your profile, you should be able to add two custom fields called "PSN" and "Gamertag" that display your names for those two things. These also display on registration, but since none of you guys had to register you probably didn't see it. Or there might be a bug, we'll have to try it out.Edit: try this link, near the bottom: eldersouls.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=profileinfo&do=show&saved=1&_r=1324928961

  16. Battlefield 3 Limited Edition LinkMan, two BF3 deals in a row. Not bad if you're in the market for the Limited Edition, especially with the free shipping.
  17. I'm glad some people are so eager. ;)If anyone is interested in helping the largest part now is just commenting on what we have so far and offering suggestions of things to add/improve on.
  18. Agreed, but I remember reading somewhere that it was one of, if not THE, best-selling FF game of all time. I just hope they don't assume that it's because the game is great and do similar things with the series in the future. It probably sold like crazy since it was the first game in the series in several years and everyone was buying off the name. Then again a lot of forum users seemed to like it... To each their own I suppose.
  19. Doesn't it suck to be an adult? This was my first year of it. I did get money though so it's not all bad.
  20. Gamestop LinkNot a huge fan of the game, but at $9.99 compared to $60 retail... It won't ever be cheaper new. I thought I had a great deal at launch for $40, but after the first 10 or so hours I stopped playing because I couldn't stand it.
  21. Battlefield 3 LinkThe trade-in value is also $34.00 on Amazon, which, whoa. You have until the end of today to order... Better hurry if interested.
  22. Gohastings LinkShipping is $2.99 I believe, so the total is ~$13.00. Not a bad deal at all.I remember paying $60 for this without any of the expansions...
  23. Yes, it's a fantastic game and everything. Definitely one of the best RPG's of all time. But there are still some things wrong with it, and I'll begin the list...1. No spellmaking.2. Limited enchanting ability.3. Storing items in cupboards/dressers/etc has absolutely NO sorting for the items. So much for quickly finding your items amongst a see of four thousand others.4. No blocking with dual-weilding (probably a balancing feature tbh).5. You can only wear one ring.6. Horses are slow and practically the same things as they were in Oblivion (hint: walk backwards Seabiscuit).7. Menu Interface (especially for spells)8. Some dungeons are tediously long. There's the usual boring dungeon and then there's the redundant 2-3 hour adventure. It's probably just because I'm the type that has to explore every nook and look into every barrel, but still.9. Destruction is totally broken and worthless at higher levels. Total 180 from the domination that it caused in Oblivion.10. Can't reset your perks, you have to live with your choices the entire game. Annoying when you can get less than 80/250 and starting a new character and having to get 100's in multiple skills to get the ones you want is nuts. It's not like having the option is even bad; it's a single player game, let people play it how they want. There's no chance for multiplayer abuse.More probably coming...
  24. So I'm creating a list of some of Skyrim's "must have" perks for my character. So far the following have been recommended to me...Extra Pockets?ImpactDual Casting?Respite?Note you can only have like ~80 perks, and in order to get the best ones you have to first purchase all of the preceding perks of the same tree.
  25. I would like to welcome you into our clan; congratulations on being accepted into the RuneScape Rebelz! ____________ I. What's Required of You ____________ 1. Forum Activity As a member of TRR, it is your responsibility to periodically check up on the clan forums. This is important for many reasons, the least of which is so you can stay updated on clan news and important announcements. Many members choose to bookmark the forums - Forum Index - and simply check up on them quickly before or after logging into RuneScape. Posting on the forums is a necessary part of becoming involved with our clans community, and promotions are often based on how active clan members are on the forums. ____________ 2. In-Game Communication It might seem silly, I know; but you would be amazed at how many people join and then complain that they didn't ever know when an event was taking place. To prevent that and to get to know other members of the clan, staying active in our in-game friends AND clan chat is a must. Our clan chat is 'The Rebelz', and members are expected to be in it whenever they're on RuneScape. You are allowed to leave the chat in certain situations (e.g. checking up on a merchant chat, moving chats for an event, etc), but generally you should be in the clan chat while on RuneScape. ____________ 3. Other Tips Other great communication tools that can help your chances at a promotion greatly include IRC and Ventrilo. For information on clan channels, please click the 'Communication' drop-down menu in the news header. You can learn more about using IRC specifically in our guide. ____________ Quick Information Friends Chat: TheRebelz Clan Chat: The Rebelz IRC Channel: #Rebelz It's great to see you in TRR, we all look forward to getting to know you!
