  1. I can't give you the exact figures, but it took me less than a day to do EVERYTHING. Only the leveling will for sure take under 5 hours (hell, probably much less); since people will have different methods of gathering items, you can't really predict that.
  2. The description will show when looking at the guide section - http://eldersouls.com/page/index.html/_/guides/skyrim/You can just type something here and I'll add it.
  3. I've promoted this to our Guide Database under Skyrim and to the front page as well. If you make anymore edits here on this thread, you should check the article as well. I'm not sure if the edited changes take place even though the two are linked for comments and such. Here is the link to the article: http://eldersouls.co...-mask-guide-r19 and the front page.Note that the formatting differs slightly between the front page, the topic, and the actual article. Specifically how wide the lines are.Oh, and you have to write a description for it. <250 characters
  4. Hey man, welcome back! It's good to see you again.Application accepted.
  5. Great guide Blex, you did not disappoint. I'll have to front-page this when I get home later tonight. I'll probably comment more then too; on my phone currently.
  6. I have Master Conjuration, so I use the "Storm Thrall" spell to summon them permanently.
  7. I haven't really used them either. They seem too fragile, and I have an OCD thing with never permanently losing something or someone if it can be avoided. I use storm atronachs when I can stand them; they're annoying as fuck in cities though, especially when you're trying to hear people speak.
  8. If Vilkus hasn't disappeared, you're correct, it might not be him. How long have you waited? If companions get stuck - or if you tell them to wait - they're SUPPOSED to eventually go home; you will get a message saying something like this after awhile. [*]See if you've completed Proving Honor or not; it may be Farkus as this is known to happen with him too. [*]If you start a new quest that requires a follower, theoretically it will force whoever is currently following to stop, and replace them with the new companion.
  9. There is a known bug involving the Purity quest. Do you have any saves before the quest? Before trying the steps below I'd first attempt to fast travel as that generally resets the followers. Vilkus may still be at Whiterun or Ysgramor's Tomb; have you looked there for him? You could also try going through the quest normally without Vilkus as if it wasn't completed; some people have claimed to be able to activate the flame without him and finish it normally. Sorry of the following doesn't make any sense, this is as specific as I can be with the details provided. This hasn't ever actually happened to me, but these are notes others have made on this issue involving bypassing the part where the glitch can occurr: [*]One way to bypass this and cure yourself of lycanthropy is to have in your inventory two witch's heads and save the game before you hand over each Companion mission. When you ask for a new job and Vilkas asks you to cure him, reload your last save, but rather than reporting the mission as complete as you did before, ask Vilkas to join you. [*]Fast travel with him to Ysgramor's tomb and go inside. Speak to Vilkas and tell him you're parting ways. [*]While still in the tomb, speak to him again and tell him you've finished the last mission. Ask him for more work and accept to cure his lycanthropy. He will then follow you to the font where you can throw in the witch's head and fight his wolf spirit. [*]The game then asks you to talk to Vilkas, but no option which can progress the mission appears, and the quest will appear in the 'completed quest' list. [*]You can, however, purify yourself once this has happened by throwing another witch's head into the font and fighting your own wolf spirit. [*]Be aware that the game still thinks Vilkas is a follower, so you will be unable to have a genuine follower once you have done this. Let us know if it gets figured out. If not, we'll try something else. 10. David

Hello, welcome to Elder Souls! Feel free to PM me if you are ever in need of assistance. :)

  11. Yeah, you would only understand it if you played Shivering Isles. But since that expansion it's been added to the official, well, I'll just call it the "storyline" that links all the games and time frames together. If you listen to Shoegorath you'll hear him reference "being around" and such for various happenings in Oblivion that your character would have also been involved in, like the Mages Guild storyline.
  12. Also, according to lore, your character from Oblivion IS Sheogorath.
  13. Black Ops has terrible graphics. It's not even good as far as FPS games are concerned. o.OSkyrim graphics > Black Ops.That said, Skyrim's graphics aren't the best either. This isn't saying they're not good, but it's part of the cost of having such a gigantic world.
  14. No problem, it's nice to know we were able to help. Welcome to ES by the way!
  15. I'm not sure what your specific problem starting the quest is, so I apologize if what I'm about to say doesn't help. You can add more details by replying to this topic. Many people have an issue with this quest when the cave has already been cleared. This is fixed by waiting until the NPC's respawn (I believe it's 30 days of in-game time)There's also a conflict with the Helm of Winterhold quest. If you've begun that quest and then attempt the companions quest, it may not start. You'll have to finish the helm of winterhold quest first if that's the case.___________________________________If this has helped, you may enjoy creating an account to take advantage of the other benefits, including having an easier time posting more questions and answering those by others.
  16. That's a very tough fight, one of the toughest I remember doing in the game. I think it was 1 of only 2 times I had to turn the difficulty down. If you haven't tried that, it may be your best option at this point - turn the difficulty down to novice. It will still be a challenging fight. As far as levels go, the NPC's in Skyrim level with you, so they'll get stronger as you do up until level 50.Personally, I had to resort to guerrilla-esque fighting for that boss. Get what shots in you can, and then hide behind something and heal. If you can get him up to the highest pillar where one of the mages used to be and then jump off, he'll often get stuck up there. At that point you can just range him.Let us now how it goes. I'm on my phone atm; I can help more when I get back to my computer.
  17. I've always been curious how the elections are covered in other countries; does it get a lot of TV air-time where you live? It would seem odd to me because we virtually never hear anything of elections elsewhere.
  18. The fastest way to level enchanting is by enchanting iron daggers. Doing this method, you can quickly and easily get level 100 enchanting AND smithing. 19. You'll have to respond to this topic to finish your question. You've been writing your whole questions in the topic title; the topic title is just supposed to be a 2-3 word summary of what your question is about. When you write out your whole question, you're supposed to overwrite the instructions in the main body. You don't have to make a new thread now that this has been posted, just scroll down to the bottom of this page and re-write the question as a response using "Reply to this Topic". There's a field slightly above the very bottom of this page; just click in it and a text editor will appear you can use to respond with.
  20. To be fair at that point there wasn't a dragon invasion, either, so there was little need to kill him. Here's something else to think about. In the dragon language, his name means "Ambition Overlord Cruelty".Having just finished the main quest, there are some important points mentioned by the dragons afterwards before they fly off. The dragon that allows you to call him explains that "Few dragons will want to replace Alduin's lordship with Paarthurnax's tyranny". If you talk to Paarthurnax after the quest, he'll immediately mention that 1) he's not happy Aldiun was defeated, although he realizes it was necessary for the character to do, and 2) he's going to try to gather the remaining dragons and get them to follow him on his "way of the tongue" or whatever his mission was. It's not out of the question to expect that Paarthurnax was using you the entire time to overthrow Aldiun, and replace him as the leader.
  21. We actually have a really in-depth guide on Dragon Priest Mask Locations. I'll just summarize the locations below, but the guide will definitely be the most help. Format -------------------- Priest Name [*]Location: Location Name, Hold -------------------- Volsung: [*]Location: Volskygge, Haafingar Vokun: [*]Location: High Gate Ruins, The Pale Otar: [*]Location: Ragnvald, The Reach Rahgot: [*]Location: Forelhost, The Rift Nahkriin: [*]Location: Skuldafn, Other Realm (Only Attainable in the Other Realm, During The World-Eaters Eyrie) Hevnoraak: [*]Location: Valthume, The Reach Krosis: [*]Location: Shearpoint, The Pale Morokei: (Mages Guild Quest) [*]Location: Labrynthian, Hjaalmarch Konahrik: [*]Location: Labyrinthian, Hjaalmarch If you want to leave additional comments or details you can add more replies to your question topic by using the "Post New Reply" text-input near the bottom of the page. 22. You never HAVE to become a vampire, unless you want to do a quest that requires it (there's probably only ~1 in the game, and I haven't even done them at this point). The same thing applies to being a werewolf; you only have to become infected if you're doing the Companion's quest, The Silver Hand. This is also the only way to become infected lycanthropy, which turns you into a werewolf. ______________________________________ If you want to leave additional comments or details you can add more replies to your question topic by using the "Post New Reply" text-input near the bottom of the page.
