  1. Yes, but you shouldn't be trying to go back to a previous save where he's not dead; you need to find a save before you started that quest. If you reload your game prior to beginning the quest, you should be able to restart it and complete it correctly. The game randomly assigns an NPC for you to "rough up" when you start the quest, so it's just a matter of getting assigned an NPC who isn't already dead.
  2. I'm sorry, you'll have to be more clear on what you're asking. You can clarify by responding to this topic using the field near the bottom of the page.
  3. Assuming you're talking about Sven, that's a quest-line ending glitch. You won't be able to continue that quest or the Companion's line. It's stongly advised that you reload from a previous save.If you have any more questions, feel free to respond by using the field below. ______You should also consider creating an account here; it comes with several benefits and will also make it easier to post questions and answers. 4. Unfortunately you are unable to change your race after having started the game, assuming you're talking about changing the race of an already existing character. If you want to play as a different race you'll have to start as a new character. The videos out that show people changing their race/gender/etc are people using console commands/modifications on the PC, something that is impossible with the consoles.
  5. Someone needs to add this to the header. :)Also spam in the CC guys, we need more than 3 votes. @_@
  6. Amazing game, hopefully we get to see him against Aaron Rodgers. Tom Brady is easily the best QB in the NFL in my opinion.6 touchdowns for the record in a playoff game, and a fucking 48 yard punt!
  7. Hello, welcome to the site! :)

  8. It's a phrase generically repeated all the time by guards across Skyrim. Since it's repeated so often, it's turned into an internet meme - something that people view as humorous and change slightly to add variations. In the game, the phrase means that the guard saying it was once an adventurer, but was injured in battle by taking an "arrow to the knee." As a result, the injury hurt the guards mobility permanently, and he quit his life as an adventurer to be a town guard. You can read up on the meme side of it here - http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/i-took-an-arrow-in-the-knee
  9. To enter the Thieves Guild you must first travel to Riften and speak to Brynjolf to begin the test. He'll then tell you to meet him in the headquarters. To get to the headquarters, just drop down to the water-level platform that's below the merchant stalls in the center of the town. From there, you'll enter a door to the "Ratway". Travel through these sewers to come to the Ragged Flagon, a bar hidden beneath the city. From there, you just have to move through a tunnel on the backside of the bar and enter a door leading to the main part of the guild, the Cistern.I'm not quite sure if that was what you were asking. If you have more questions or details to add, just reply to this topic using the field below and we'll help you further.
  10. No one's posting profile updates. Too much work going to your profile to do it as opposed to the main page?

  11. Hello. Welcome to the site! :)

  12. No problem. Let us know if you need anything else.
  13. According to the wiki, Sometimes you never receive the letter/will, though. It may be that way with you.I'd just try to do the marriage quest again whether or not you're delivered one.
  14. Hm, one should show up eventually. There's always a chance that there's a bug associated with being married as a werewolf. Let us know if you end up able to remarry.
  15. Yes, there will be a courier delivering a message that contains your spouse's will and a small amount of money. However, I believe you're still unable to remarry if your spouse dies; of course, this could have been patched recently. I doubt it though, there's been a lot of misinformation about it in the past. If you're going to kill her anyways you could always try it and report back.
  16. As I answered in the other question, yes, you can kill your wife. However, it is not currently possible to re-marry unless you have a PC and access to console commands.______You should also consider creating an account here; it comes with several benefits and will also make it easier to post questions and answers. 17. Unfortunately, no, you can only marry once (as of now, wouldn't be surprised if they changed this in a patch since everyone is complaining). If you have a PC you can re-marry using the console commands. You can "get rid of her" by killing her, if you wish. But again, you only can marry one time, even if your spouse dies. Forever alone. If you want some related information, you should check out our guide to Skyrim marriage.______You should also consider creating an account here; it comes with several benefits and will also make it easier to post questions and answers. 18. As Blexun said, you essentially just swim up with the water. When I did this it was humorously difficult because I was attempting to pull Mercer's corpse up with me at the same time so I could try to dead thrall him.
  19. I just want to add that it's apparently possible to check for driver updates through Steam. Open Steam -> Click on the "Steam" button in the top left -> Check For Video Driver Update
  20. There's really no point in getting the light armor side imo. Light armor itself is pointless compared to heavy armor unless the look of it is more important to you than the bonuses. Then again, you can always just smith-boost ANY armor to the max bonus of 540 whatever so I guess that's moot.Really, though, you're right that you'll just end up finding glass armor anyway. Plus the dragon variant of light armor is the best in the game, and you can still get that perk by going up the heavy armor side.tl;dr heavy armor side ftw.
  21. Maybe you guys forgot how they were going to lop off your head at the beginning of the game even though they knew you weren't one of their proper prisoners... Or how all the General did during the main quest was complain about Skyrim and its inhabitants.Viva la revolucion!
  22. As Fergal said, the guide would be a good start. If you have any further questions after reading it just post them here in this thread (you can reply to this topic by using the field at the bottom) and we'll be happy to answer them.
  23. Skyrim would be installed under Steam, assuming that's what you're using.I'm not a PC gamer, but try the following:Program Files -> Steam -> Steamapps -> Common -> SkyrimIf that's not it, just reply to this topic and say so, and we'll continue to help you._____________You should also consider creating an account here; it comes with several benefits and will also make it easier to post questions and answers. 24. You should check out our guide on Vampires. Just scroll down to the feeding section if that's all you wish to know. If you're seeking random NPC's you'll have the best luck waiting until it's night time and breaking into houses in cities. If you have more questions you can reply to this thread using the field below this post._____________You should also consider creating an account here; it comes with several benefits and will also make it easier to post questions and answers.
