            Last Weeks Games Reviewed

            Borderlands 2
            Posted Image

Borderlands 2 was a much anticipated sequel to the 2009 role-playing shooter, Borderlands. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't yet played it, in fact I haven't yet played Borderlands, but from everything I've heard everyone who has played Borderlands 2 has thoroughly enjoyed it (well except for this guy, which squishyman made me aware of.) 5 DLC packs will be made available in the next few months, with all packs available before June 2013. Its rating on IGN is 9 out of 10. The release of Borderlands 2 has even been speculated to have contributed to the 125% leap in sales for video games this week.

            Dead or Alive 5
Again, unfortunately I haven't played this or any of the other games in the franchise, so I'll keep this short. Dead or Alive 5 has been said to be the best in the series with more focus put into the fighting and gameplay rather than on the hot chicks, which obviously are still an aspect of the game.

Weird and Interesting News From the World of Gaming

[*]A Manitoba jail has been shown to have a video game collection that could rival some video game stores. The article here explains more
[*]Freeplay Independent Games Festival was held in Melbourne, Australia showing that Video Games are culturally important.
[*]A new intuitive device for gaming has been designed at a University in Italy. The Device, called Palla, can be held in the hand or rolled across a surface to interact with a game. For more information see this article.
[/list]That's it for this week, but I'd like to remind you to share your thoughts on this article and to give suggestions for future articles in the comments below or by signing up to the community and sending me a message.

Great work again. Only thing I had to change was the title, which was too long. It has to be pretty short with the "This Week in Gaming" standard.

Call me a jerk all you want, but I find it a bit sad that video games are so mainstream now. It almost seems like part of the culture was lost, especially since the big and evil businessmen are determined to screw over the hardcore crowd for a quick buck. *cough* Kotick *cough*Sorry about that; I had to get it out of my system. Nice job on the article. I've learned some new things about the industry today.

Yeah, you're no longer considered a nerd when you like playing video games :( Unless you play Runescape or WoW that is..
