You have to put in a pin to take money from the pouch when you log in, just like spending dungeoneering tokens and withdrawing from your kingdom. And money is safe on death, even in Wilderness, if the money is in the pouch. If anything, your money is just as safe in the pouch than in the bank. I'll be damned if they're not fucking those of us who have paid like $120+ in membership only to not be able to redeposit every misclicked item because of their crappy/lagtastic interface.
