  1. It is funny how quickly it changes. When the leaked beta videos were a big deal, this site had something like 250 account-holding members online within an hour window (and many, many more lurkers). Now that there's no new news, 6-7 members at best and maybe 120 guests for the same time frame.

Yeah. You guys got me from that explosion. I just didn't sign up 'til a couple months after. And I've still got most of the leaks ever posted on this site on my hard drive.

  2. Aww... that's not fair. This cite's amazeballs, the vocal minority that frequent this place are sweet ass, and that's what matters!

Kiss up... Haha, yeah, I know.

I know the site's only slowed down in activity because there IS no ESO content to speak of. I try frank snarky-ness as humor sometimes.

But like I've said before, my being here is because the site and the community are great.

It does have to be a good / funny / interesting / relevant poll, no freebies here.

Aww, man. But I was gonna deprecate the Aldmeri Dominion...
  3. I'd prefer it if people start making their own polls actually - new content is always great! I generally leave each one on the home page for 2 days or so before changing them; if you create one on the 18th I'll promote it to the home page.

Hoo weee...front page. I could get used to the ease of gaining notoriety with so little effort on a forum site where nothing much happens.

  4. Hey there. It's okay that your english isn't perfect, as long as we can all still understand each other. I'll just read everything you say with a with a french accent. I was born in Canada too actually. Unfortunately, I'll be a Nord on a PC, so we won't be meeting in-game.

  5. You just "unlink" the YouTube video URL. If you post a hyperlink to the video it links to it, but if it's just normal text, such as www.youtube.com, it automatically embeds.

Oh, neat... Okay, thanks. Actually, I tried using that embed script in Youtube's 'share' category. It didn't work, so then I just edited the post into a hyperlink.

So, I'm still gonna watch the video now, 12 hours after.

I didn't have time earlier. I was up to my throat in pressure about cramming for test week. Glad to say it's over now. Pass or fail, I'm just happy I'm fucking done!

  6. For starters, you could help out the woman who runs the potion shop in Whiterun. She'll let you take most of the ingredients lying around her house after you've done her a favor.

But at the end of the day, you just gotta explore. There's really no way around it.

Here's my favorite health potion formula:

    -Wheat

    -Blue Mountain Flower

The wheat spawns in farms, and Blue Mountain Flowers grows all over open terrain. Add in a Blue Butterfly wing for good luck if you want.

But if you're up for a challenge, find a place called Frostflow Lighthouse. It's my favorite dungeon. You'll find hundreds of Chaurus Eggs in it. But guess what else...

  7. Word! I get that it's more realistic, and it's good for balancing PVP... but what if they did that in PVE? You level up your character, get awesome gear, make the perfect build for a fight..then every end-game dungeon is just playing chess? XD

I agree, top players are always no-lifers, but the very top (emperor status) have got to be good on top of that.

(I don't really get heated on the internet. We're good! lol)

Thanks. And, nah, you've seen the Quakecon video. What you need is fighting skill and strong teamwork. And maybe maxed-out builds and perfect timing on master dungeons.

I think it'd be safe to assume that chess-tactics would only matter in Cyrodiil where investing in siege weapons and keep upgrades, rallying hundreds, predicting enemy responses, temporary alliance cooperation and betrayal would come into play.

we should make an ebon heart pact guild francis.

Yeah, I've been thinking, but I haven't got a clear idea in mind. The plan so far is to happily tread through my adventures in ESO, eventually crossing paths with other individual wanderers and colorful characters with whom I could form a merry band with, and, eventually, a guild.

But before I got to that conclusion, I have tried other means. Lem'me explain:

Two months ago, I was considering using Tamriel Foundry as a base of operations, but then I found that I liked Elder Souls better, and I realized I wanted a more secluded ESO community site than the most popular one. (Plus, unlike those pussies, you guys had beta leaks.) So, here I am.

About whether I want to join a guild or make one is something I haven't decided on. I mean, I thought I'd just join the Elder Souls Official Guild with a fuzzy idea of what to expect since it was labeled alliance-unclassified, but I've since realized that David, along with Blake, the other leader, would most probably play as damn dirty felines. Which means they'll be in the dominion.

Which means I still need a guild to call my own...

Now, do I want to join a guild, start one, or do I do the traveling thing I mentioned?

If more people would be willing to make a guild with us, I might consider making one.

But if not, I'll do it the old-fashioned way-- with imaginary traveling and fateful encounters.

  8. One of the best things I was anticipating about the game are the siege weapons. How in the name of Talos could they be idiotic if you wanna storm a fortified keep? They force you to play akin to real warfare tactics, allowing the real military masterminds to rise above the common high-level everyman that invests merely time.

Most top players in other games are obsessive lifeless ones, but are they truly worthy? With patience always comes skill, but wit is another thing. Our emperor shall be the cleverest of us.

(But, by the way, don't take this the wrong way though, it's all good, Muscle. Looking forward to guerrilla fights without siege weapons too.)

  9. I usually make a bit of eye contact and just stare forward. It's not so bad if you're outside and there are lots of places to look, but I've also walked down 800 meters of straight hallway with just me and the other person. That's just bad.

What kind of hallway extends almost as far as a kilometer? And you two must have had sex at the end.
