David
Annnnnd with the additions of our most recent members, Storm and Thanator, we've reached our five-hundredth member. Unfortunately most of these accounts aren't active, but it's an impressive milestone nonetheless.
Blake
I guess our member count has passed my post count .Sure I was passed a long time ago, but now I'm aware of it.
Huygens
Hm I wonder how many are actually active members. YAY on the milestone tho
Fergal
You should get some more adsense money or whatever it is. ;)Great to see Elder Souls has been successful; honestly, I thought it would be a failure in the sense that making gaming forums just like that are hard to run, but you've done a great job.Pity that there are so many inactive accounts though. David
Right now the main issue seems to be getting people to sign up and post on the forums. The traffic from search engines has been quite good, but people just "lurk."

Brad
Or do public forums like the questions. Then privates for everything else :DYou could also do some video tuts that are only available to forum members as well?
David
Yeah, maybe. It's important to not ever make it impossible for people to view the majority of the site, though, as that would be search engine suicide; Google's bots wouldn't be able to crawl and index any pages. Some member-only content is a good idea though.
Mageman
Member only content is always a good idea. Not only to prevent bots, but to make people want to register. On another note, didn't even realize I'm that close to 500 posts. 415 represent

David
Haha, there are differences between the counts listed on your profiles and those listed in the thread-view by your posts. It's probably due to the Spam & Forum Games section not counting towards your actual total.
