  1. I actually registered to vote this year. Why, you ask? Because if I take a picture of the ballot and show my prof I get extra credit in a class. Probably won't actually vote because I know it doesn't matter for multiple reasons.
  2. Figured the other thread would turn into this so we'll have this discussion here. The Boondock Saints 1 and 2HeathersThe Lost Boys - Actually probably not a cult classic but damn the girl in it is hot. It's weird that she's older than my mom now.Silver Bullet - Young kid in a wheelchair gets a high-powered motorized scooter and fights vampires. That's really all you need to know right there. Fucking hilarious.
  3. I have been rewarded 10 quest points and a platinum trophy. DOES THAT MEAN YOU WATCHED RISES?!!1111one!one1!11Haven't seen The Prestige. Since it's been mentioned a few times guess I'll have to rent it soon.
  4. Yeah, exactly. "They're so bad they're hilarious." None of the following have any place - even in the discussion - alongside the best movies of all time. They may be funny, but they're not even decent movies. Now, I'm not a huge fan of places like IMBD and think Rotten Tomatoes is an absolute joke for rating movies, but here are some of the ratings from there for the movies that made me sad: Pee-Wee's Big Adventure - 6.9/10. You could argue it's decent, but one of the best ever? Ted - 7.6/10. Decent to good. See below though. Scary Movie - 6/10. Funny... Sometimes. horrible acting. Superhero Movie - 4.3/10 IMBD, 16% on Rotten Tomatoes Oranges: Revenge of the Eggplant - 6.3/10 Killer Klowns from Outer Space - 5.8/10 I mean, I guess as a general rule it's safe to say nothing from the comedy genre is ever going to be considered one of the "best" movies just because people's sense of humor varies. The best movies are works of art that have had large impacts on society/movies in general. I just wish more people would watch classics like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
  5. Was that a serious question? Lol. The prequel trilogy is awful. Also, several of your choices made me lose some faith in humanity.
  6. I'm going to start just by listing several of my favorites in no order. After we get a decent start-up list we can start ranking them. [*]Gladiator (probably my favorite of all time) [*]Lord of the Rings III > II > I - Can you believe it's been... 9 years?! Insane. I'm old. [*]Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (others sucked in comparison) [*]The Lion King [*]Toy Story [*]The Sixth Sense [*]Jurassic Park I [*]The Silence of the Lambs [*]The Dark Knight [*]The Dark Knight Rises - maybe? I can't really say it after writing that article blasting it. [*]The Green Mile [*]The Wizard of Oz [*]Stand By Me [*]Braveheart [*]Forrest Gump [*]Fight Club [*]Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade [*]Star Wars I-III [*]The Shawshank Redemption I've found my favorite movies correlate pretty well with how good their sound tracks are.
  7. Staff positions are available! See the announcement in Community Discussion.

  9. Doesn't matter, I'd let them do what they wanted with it at this point. Make it a 138-only cabbage collecting clan as long as it's active.
  10. I thought it was humorous for the first 5 seconds when I watched the video, because "lol koreans."But... then. It... Just kept... playing.
  11. I was going to wait for Anarchy to respond to this, but apparently he's MIA.Anyways, yeah, there's a 0 chance of this happening at noon on a weekday. We're USA based, after all. Sat/Sunday at 8-10pm GMT is really the only option during the school year.
  12. Still looking for applicants in both listed positions.
  13. Not on the main page (which is the primary issue in the light v. dark thing), and it's not really supported.
  14. Bumping because it's that time tomorrow.Brad is banned from donating.
  15. So after reading some forum topic that was talking about my TDKR article, someone commented that the combination of dark background and grey text made the content difficult to read. I've read elsewhere that 47% of people prefer light websites (black text on white backgrounds). So, what do you guys think? Should we shange to a light theme site-wide?I personally think the light grey font / dark grey background here makes my eyes strain less than 100% contrast black font / white background. Maybe it's just me, I don't know. I will say that GENERALLY I do prefer light sites, though.Poll is in terms of what we should do here.
  16. Am I the only person who hasn't been getting the TRR skin on the TRR forums? Just get the regular ES skin/banner.
  17. I was actually semi-serious about posting open applications for council+ on RSC, so... yeah. The leaders need to be very active in-game.
  18. I was just trying to increase the length a bit. Without the titles and leading sentences it was just a tad on the short side, but still not a problem.Where did you hear about the Morrowind stuff? I made a Skyrim-specific update article but couldn't find anything other than "this forum user has said it will include xxxxx, but we think going to Morrowind would be sweet."
  19. According to one user on the official Bethesda forums, Skyrim's next DLC will possibly involve the following... The expected DLC name of "Dragonborn" was trademarked by Bethesda back in May, adding credibility to the rumors. Additional speculation points to the player being able to travel to Morrowind, the primary setting of TES: III, based off of the setting of Solstheim, a Nord colony seen in the Morrowind Bloodmoon expansion. Either way, the ability to ride dragons alongside mounted spell casting? Yes, please. As far as new armor, the game files have names under "crafting" for the following sets... [*]Bonemold [*]Chittin [*]Nordic [*]Stahlrim Oh, and did I mention that there are files indicating we're going to get spears? The optimistic hope regarding the PS3 DLC may be baseless, but it comes after a long, tumultuous series of disappointing announcements by Bethesda, who questioned their ability to ever release the DLC on the console. Currently, the PS3 is the only console that has yet to receive either the Dawnguard (June 26th) or Heathfire (September 1st) DLC expansions. The forum user apparently obtained this information by browsing through the game files of Skyrim's new v1.8 patch, which is currently in its beta stage on Steam as of October 15th. Included in the patch, according to the official announcement: BUG FIXES[*]General memory and stability improvements [*]Fixed rare crash when using vampiric grip [*]Fixed issue where Arnleif and Sons Trading Company could become permanently locked [*]Fixed issue related to duplicate NPCs [*]Fixed rare issue where exterior door would not open properly The update will arrive later on the PS3 and 360. 21. If you've reinstalled all of the patches and game data and the game is still bugging out in the same spot, it's definitely your progression of quests that is conflicting. Specifically in the DB quest, Whispers in the Dark, I know you can fix the freezing while inside the coffin bug by doing the following: The wiki also mentions similar methods of fixing that quest: The reason I'm point these out is that it sounds like there's some conflict during this quest that is causing other things to bug out later in the game. If you finish that quest, it may solve other issues as well that you're encountering later.
  22. Please make a list. I don't know what to do at this point. Post open applications for Council/Leadership on Zybez? Lol.
