M'aiq is a "reoccurring" character in the series and just gives you dialogue referring to the development of the game (mostly). Only thing I can think of. I similar experience happened to me where I was just sitting in Whiterun's Bannered Mare. I sat my character down as I was eating a bowl of cereal.
