People seem to always freak out (generally in a bad way) whenever they see Nirnroots again in TES games. I personally ignore them every game anyways, so I don't even know the quest associated with them.

Why does everyone hate Nirnroots?

I guess them showing up means quest where they will have to search everywhere for the illusive nirnroot. In Skyrim, they aren't that bad. Since 200 years passed from Oblivion, the regular Nirnroots are 10X more common. Also, I can only think of a few quest that even ask you to get a nirnroot. The hard to find Nirnroots is the Crimson ones in Blackreach, and even then, they aren't that hard to find.I guess haters gonna hate.

Adding an entire new type of nirnroot kind of cheapens the whole concept behind them imo.

Possibly because of the quests in oblivion for them, to spend all that time searching to get a les than adequate potion out of it... So when spotted in Skyrim people just shiver in rememberance of that quest ? haha, thats just my guess, I personally collect them for alchemy.

Meh the fact they were buried awaydeepdeepdeepdeepdown kind of allows me to forgive that fact. I mean, plants have different species in real life, so whatever.Adding an entire new type of nirnroot kind of cheapens the whole concept behind them imo.
