Many people on other forums seem to love them and say they promote more activity; others aren't really fans.As the forum grows, the settings as they are now might be a bit too liberal with them. Honestly though, I always check active topics, which makes notifications about any replies, regardless if I replied to that topic, pointless.I guess in the future, status notifications (maybe), messages, and replies to a topic i created is what I want to see. These are like Facebook notifications, I don't usually look at them because I get emails anyway but I don't mind them either.
