Like everyone is saying, it is in fact a lot like mw2. But some of the most notable PC differences are almost 0 hackers, they have dedicated servers for mods and less glitches. I also enjoy the maps more and most of the guns, although some need to be nerfed.

How did you progress through the main quest?

That is exactly how I did it. I'm level 44 and I just finished the main quest. I'm the archmage of the Mages College and the Harbringer of the Companions. I've also done 6 Daedric quests. -
I PK a lot and spend as much time in the Wilderness with a Korasi in inventory in case someone jumps me. It's a fetish of mine and I'm decent at it

Call of duty 4. I found an amazing server and played with some amazing people that always made my experience enjoyable. Also loved the map and the guns.
