No, not confusing, I was just thinking how well written you are. concise. usually people on these sites have difficulty getting to the point, or maybe they don't know as much as they might believe :-) (sorry everyone else) lol. I'm glad I can have Lydia follow me when I get Calder as a house Carl... gives me options. Don't get me wrong, I was joking more than anything when I was giving Lydia a hard time, when it comes down to it I'm not so sure I could let her go after all we've been through together. And speaking of Lydia; I always thought if I clicked on the "I think we should part ways" option I would never see her again, but since you tell me she will simply go home then maybe I will now and then. Funny, the last time I asked her to "Wait here" (in the Breezehome) I arrived home a few days later and she was sitting in my room, not hers, with an ale in her hand and a glazed look in her eye. felt sorry for her. Not to mention that my old dog Meeko (whom I had also asked to Wait with Lydia) had given up on me and walked back to his old dead masters home. But that's ok, Viggie is a better dog. Actually I just learnt how to own any house using Console control (without even clicking on the jarl fellow to "set the stage"), but I'm not sure if I should as the last time I used console control to get back the gold I spent on the Windhelm home I felt bad somehow. I also think it might stuff the process of the game up in some way. Nevertheless, I don't have a problem using the console to furnish my homes better. feels only right that I can decorate my home the way I would like. just finished putting a smelter and forge out the side of Hjerim. very cool. I have a few more questions for you if you don't mind, but If I babble on too much just tell me: How do you feel about console control stuff? How do you propose I get a spouse and a child without Heartheart? Can I choose what the child looks like? (Prefer not to have a little lizard kid running around) Also: What level are you at? Do you play a guy or a girl? What's your characters name and race?

Dalilah, thanks for that, Yes, I was thinking along those lines as well, but I just wasn't sure I should do that while my old housecarl from Whiterun is still following me around. if she is following me around the game may not allow me a second housecarl. Do you think I should get rid of Lidia before I get the new house carl or wont it make a difference? Can you have 2? In fact I was even thinking he has already passed the point of offering me a housecarl when he offered me the house but I already had one.... When I got breeze home Lidias room came with it automatically furnished.... The thing is, Lidia is a bit of an idiot, blocking hallways when I'm trying to walk around, always in my way. at least my dog Vigilance knows to get out of my way. Good dog! Who's a good boy then... You are! Love my dog. :-)

Dalilah, hello! No, its actually my first house in Whiterun Breezhome. a glitch you say... hmm. I was kinda hoping for a stalker. But I am glad you mentioned other houses.... I've been trying to finish quests in Winhelm, eg, BLOOD ON ICE, so that I can buy that place (Hjerim or whatever its called) I even went on to overthrow my old town of Whiterun, and succeeded, but I still cant seem to find anyone to buy the Hjerim place off. do you know who I need to talk to or what I need to do? The town is a hole but the house is nice. ...I hope that friggen trip out to serpant Island to kill the ice wraith wasn't pointless....

Have you tried the treasure maps search? That might keep you occupied

I recently completed the BLOOD ON ICE quest and went on to overthrow Whiterun, but I cant seem to find anyone who wants to sell me the Windhelm house. I only took those quests because I wanted to buy the stupid house, so could someone tell me who I'm meant to be talking to or what other quest I might have to finish? So anyway, quick update, I figured out the console commands to get the house. soon after that the dude gave me the house anyway, even though it made no difference to anything.... Nevertheless, it is a nice house. Fully furnished, except the spare bedroom is empty. Anyone know how I might furnish that?

I don't know about all that, but I do know that whenever I leave my home and come back all the items I've set neatly around the place have been knocked and strewn about like I've been robbed or something.... nothing seems to be missing but I still reckon there's a stalker out there trying to mess with me... I'll get him!

Maybe, but I went through the magnus staff thing in my mid to late twenty levels and that didn't happen to me, not that I noticed.... the Winterhold school thing is one of the earlier expeditions you are quested for, although most people put it off till later because it contains the word "school". lol. I've decided to go on a treasure map hunt because I don't care for swimming in the ice cold water in search of some variety of Serpant Island place.... doesn't sound too fun to me.

That does sound a little odd. the only real time the value of something has changed for me is when I destroy an enchanted item to learn its enchantment. The item I destroy may be a weapon that causes 20 points of fire damage, but when I use the enchantment on another weapon the fire damage has been reduced to the mid teens... this is because I haven't gone into skills menu and improved myself in the right areas, I think. It is possible you need to go to your skills menu and better yourself in a certain area.... but I cant say for sure.

Francis, your funny. Anyway, I just worked it out. The caption was very misleading. (Never my fault). What I actually had to do is go to the bottom of the screen where it had 15 DRAGON SOULS, and then hit that with my sheath (drop) button, that unlocked my dragon soul. FINALLY!!! after that I just followed the prompts. i think i need a drink of something strong. Thanks for your effort! Much appreciated. What level you at?

Actually, Francis, no that's not my actual name. Buttons is just my gaming name. Sorry if you know someone with that name ;-/ But about the Unlock Button: (which might make me look a little silly) I've been trying to use a few different buttons and none seem to work, I assume the button is either my ATTACK or my PICK UP ITEM button... NONE OF WHICH WORK. The game recommends the F button but that doesn't work either.... Keep in mind it took me ten levels to work out that my DROP ITEM button was also my sheath button. So which is my UNLOCK button... you were saying??? is it the same as any other button? Update: Ok, I just went and tried unlocking them again, I've tried my SHOUT button as well, amongst others, and the closest I can get to unlocking a shout is a caption coming up that asks me: "I want to unlock a dragon soul to activate the shout?" and below this caption there is another caption that reads "OK", so I click on the "OK" with all my different buttons and nothing works. I also put the mouse arrow over the Ice Form light symbol and click on that with all the different buttons but still the same frustrating result: the caption goes away (always after having to click on it twice), BUT THE SHOUT REMAINS INACTIVE!!! I'm getting a little peeved.... Tell me how to unlock it.... please

But Seriously, I just killed me another dragon, THATS NOW 15 OF THOSE ANNOYING BEASTS SOULS UNDER MY BELT and my "Ice Form Shout" still wont activate. Could someone tell me what the hoodling heck is going on? Poor Buttons needs your help before throwing the pc out the window. Poor Buttons....

Hey guys, I've got 14 dragon souls, and I've completed the Ice form shout (ice, flesh, statue) BUT I AM STILL UNABLE TO ACTIVATE THE FRIGGEN ICE FORM SHOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm very frustrated. Any suggestions "please" would be greatly appreciated...
