Can you add furniture to an already made home?

I have bought the home in Riften - Honeyside and it is my favorite house that i have every owned throughout skyrim - theres just one problem for me - theres not enough storage for me to keep all my belongings. I just wish there was a few more cupboards and strongboxes or something to keep gems and jewellery in and chest for expensive weapons.

You play on PC or console? If you're on Xbox or PS then no. If you're on computer of some type then you can use commands to place items where you want them.
