A Few Questions About Guilds

Recommended Posts

1) Does anyone know for sure if there is going to be a way to officially start your own guild in TESO or if the only official guilds are the in game guilds?

2) If you can create your own are the members going to be restricted to your faction?

3) If not how would that affect playing with members of your guild from other factions?

4) Just as a general question, does anyone know if you will be able to play with members of the other factions in the case that you want to play a race in one faction and your friend wants to play a race of a different faction?

Anyone with answers please link to where your information came from if you can.

Thank you.

1. Yes you can create your own guilds. This is why you see many ESO websites with a guild section for creating and setting them up. Here is a Facebook post by Zenimax giving notice to some guild websites.

2 & 3. Even though a guild is associated with a faction, guilds can be cross-faction. However, guild members of different factions can not be associated with a Cyrodil campaign the other faction is in. So your guild members from other factions can't spy for you or whatever. Note that people of different factions can't talk to each other, so honestly I don't see the point of cross faction guilds. A lot of questions about guilds and what have you right here; scroll down to the Event Q&A section

4. I would assume so in PvP situations, but nowhere near to the extent that you'll be able to play with each other if you are of the same faction.
