A Daedra's Best Friend

So i was on my way to Falkreach to speak to Lod about Barbos and starting the quest. Of course as soon as i arrive in the town i get a random dragon attack and Lod ends up dead. Does anyone know how i could still get the item or at least get the Oblivion Walker achievement.

It is possible to get two Daedric items from Hircine's Daedric quest. Here is a copy pasta from the page on the quest on how to do so.

Both items can be obtained by killing all the hunters, going outside the grotto and claiming the Ring of Hircine, then going back in and killing Sinding to get his skin.

Apparently a recent patch made this not always count as two Daedric items, so this may not work if you are playing on a patched games.
