Redguard v.s. Khajit
CanisPanther replied to CanisPanther's topic in Elder Scrolls Online Discussion
Yeah it's a good match up. I'm making a melee Sorc and Redguard was a clear choice because of the Brovenant, but with the pre order any faction deal, it is tough. More Stam more weapon damage, more crit damage more weapon damage. More resource more damage and utility, more crit chance more damage and heal (surge). More max stamina or healing regeneration? I like the skeleton makeup for Redguard and I also like being a Thundercat. -
If I'm going non- Nightblade melee, who's passives will mean the most. Adrenaline Rush v.s. Carnage, max stamina v.s. health regeneration?
-
The hardest part I'm havin with my Blitzkrieg Sorc is a heal debuff. We have tons of mobility, crits, and heals, just nothing outside of Negate Magic to stop heals. Hopefully they have an enchant to compensate for this.

I had tons of fun with my melee Sorc. I pretty much skimped out on any mana and went hard with Stamina. Critical Charge stunlock was intense. With the morph you'd critchargestunheavyattack rinse and repeat until Reverse Slash. I crafted swords and improved them to devastating effect. All in all though, it's a shit show when it comes to pvp, feels a lot like GW2 except I felt a lot deadlier in GW2. It was a lagg beta, I look forward to the next one. I did feel powerful, but unless I got someone singled out by myself, it was whoever hit their button at the right time secured the kill. Life's good, melee Sorc was great in PvP and PvE.

I play Xbox One so it's the obvious choice for serious gamers.Add me:AKHarvester -
Bound Armor is interesting to me because it lacks definition. I say this because with the Morph, it says "+25%" to armor, what it doesn't say is if it's a bonus to overall armor or just the armor bonus from the ability itself. Say Rank 3 of Bound Armor is 33 armor, that's a little over 7.5 extra armor. Now, if it applies to overall armor, obviously this move is much better. Of course, you know me, you say Bound Armor and I Immediately look at the damage bonus it gives, 8% isn't the best until we: a. Rank it up. b. Find higher damaging weapons. Oh man, the possibilities to max out melee damage are endless with a Sorcerer.

Man Warhorn is a chunk of change, it'd also have to restore ST/MP to really get a bang for my buck. Highborn would almost be better because you're getting a garunteed resource. I don't know, I do dig the buff bar though, a well rounded array of buffs, and bound to make people rage with Rapid Maneuver and Bolt Escape. Bide your time in safe territory before you strike again. Hopefully our opener is enough to close the deal sooner than later because we weaken if someone can outlast our resources, thank God we only pick on squishes. Still thinking Medium/Heavy armor is the way to go seeing as how we've become a more focused single target bezerkr. I can't wait for beta to put the training shoes on this build.
-
Hopefully in one rotation we've done enough to decide whether we've won or lost and that'll determin our next move. Yeah, it's resource intensive, and without health, we're relying on those resources to keep us up.

I've seen this argument a couple times in different threads about builds, but you're referencing a very low level. Nothing to do with endgame where enchants, gear bonus, mundus, food, potions, etc., where the bonuses actual could be phenomenal. Everyone knows percentages are better endgame, and flat numbers are terrific early game, not to say they can't be huge end game either. So although early game they might not be much, they'll still help.

I like it because now we can keep up a DoT, and 17 seconds of melee damage. This is solid, we won't need a finisher because we are the finisher. I'm sure there's room to play around with the armor, but we will be a raging shit storm with an uncanny ability to apply ourselves feverishly to our target. I think I may agree with you. And Lightening Form + Immovanle is the new OP. It might seem a little overkill with two bar setups almost identical, but it's the best way to keep up our desired damage output without without ever missing a beat. I'd almost drop our Racial on the buff bar since it'll be something else that transfers over.A typical engagement in our favor would look something like OffensiveMomentum-Immovable-Lightening Form-Surge-Switch Bars-Critical Charge-Daedric Curse-Melee-Reapply DoT & Buffs As NeededDefensiveImmovable-Lightening Form-Momentum-Bolt Escape Into Critical Charge Distance-Surge-Critical Charge-Daedric Curse-Melee-Reapply DoT & Buffs As NeededUnless we can afford to face tank and forego a Critical Charge. Of course evey situation will be different but it's all music in my head at this point. A really mean Sorcerer build.BTW, we want to buff up Inbetween Momentum and Surge because in order to min/max the capabilities, you want to wait 3 seconds to squeeze all the damage potential out of the combo, seeing as how Momentum is a 20 second buff that increases 2% every 2 seconds, and Surge is a flat damage buff that lasts 17 seconds.

The Cost of the Elder Scrolls Online
CanisPanther replied to David's topic in Elder Scrolls Online Discussion
If they compensated the XBL, $5 a month sounds good if they can't make it free. It's like buying a new game every year, and with as content as they promise, it'll be one in the same. Plus, if they only get 1,000,000 of the people on XBL, that's still $60,000,000 a year from Xbone alone, nothing to scoff at. -
Still reeling over the fact Emma Watson didn't take that role.I'm power leveling my post numbers apparently.

Yeah, you got me thinking for sure. Redguard 5 M 2 HSpec for spell pen if I not wearing cloth hurts that bad. Rest would be standard regen/pen/crit/etc, can't say until I actually play.2h MomentumSurgeCritical ChargeLightening FormImmovable OverloadBowBolt EscapeMage's FuryEntropyWinged TwilightImmovable Powercharge or Storm AtronachSlight alterations due to relying more on melee. Bow is for crit that I'll be stacking cause of medium armor. I out Bolt Escape on bar two, because with Immobable up at all times, shouldn't be a problem to switch bars and dip if need be. I figure with Mage's Fury, if I don't have an ult to proc Overload, I could Bolt Escape, turn, and unload arrows with Mage's Fury for a spectacular finish.
-
Yeah, if I went with cloth, I could certainly see most of what you're doing here. Personal preference, I'd use Surge instead of Curse, Mage's Fury instead of Crystal Shard, and Powercharge or Storm Atronach since Highborn won't be available.

This is my Nightblade build meant for ranged damage before sneaking in for the finish. I know the Altmer have really nice spell passives, but Khajit's Eye of Fear and melee crit damage gives the build a little more synergy for it's hybrid nature.6/6 Light ArmorDestruction Staff- FrostThis is how we stay competent within the group and contribute at a safe distance. We choose Frost just incase we become a target and need to keep our target off of us by slowing them down. Plus it combos with Soul Strike.1. Magelight (Crit)2.a Weakness to Elements (This is really just to ramp up the damage of our basic and standard attacks as it'll be the only skill from the Destruction tree.)2.b Mark Target (Standard pen v.s. damage.)3. Strife w/Swallow Soul (HoT/DoT)4. Summon Shade (Added damage)5. Shadow Cloak w/Dark Cloak (Disengage and remove debuff.)Ultimate: Soul Strike (Bonuse damage to chilled targets.)Or Eye of TerrorPretty basic: 2 buffs, 2 damage abilities, and one escape that double as a way to get into melee with a big hit. Might even take out Shade so I can have Mark Target and Weakness to Elements.DW Axes (For bleed effect.)1. Mark Target (Boost our melee since we're in cloth.)2. Teleport Strike w/Lotus Fan (Gap Close. Snare and DoT, unless the Morph doesn't apply to the target, then we'd go for the other Morph.)3.a Fury w/Rapid Strikes (More speed, more bleed.)3.b Veiled Strike w/Concealed Weapon (Stealth speed for escape or stalking. Maybe save all ST for CC Break, Dodge Roll, etc.)4. Assasin's Blade w/Killer's Blade (Heal on kill.)5. Shadow Cloak w/Dark Cloak (Disengage and remove debuff.)Ultimate: Death Stroke w/Incapacitating Strike (Double sided knife: if we're doing good, we should have tons of Ultimate for a max damage hit, if we're losing, a little stun might be what we need to turn the tide or make an escape.)The second bar is more to go in and assist our bruisers with securing kills before returning to range.
-
I totally get the hit and run lifestyle for a 2h, but that just seems like it'll push us into using Critical Charge to re-engage too much, eating up our ST pool. I mean the only thing you could replace would be Encase which is a boss CC. All the other moves scream melee. I still don't think it's too much to ask to switch bars for Bolt Escape while Lightening Form is active so I could hit the ground running.
-
Yeah, I might replace Dark Talons on my Offensive bar for Ash Cloud then. I know I want as much CC on my second bar to break people's ST pools if they go for the kill. I just figured if we're pressing in, having everyone immobile would have made it easier to pick up kills, and unless the miss chance applies to spells, it might not be worth it for my Offensive bar which is meant for picking up casters and the lot.
