transcribe the Lexicon

Sure hope someone can help! I am playing Skyrim on a PC  at level 20 , no mods have been added. 

I completed the charging of the Lexicon and have gotten the Elder Scroll. When leaving via the elevator when I reach the top my screen will freeze and start fading in and out at the gate. I can't take any actions. My only solution is to go to my desktop screen. I have tried another elevator but the same thing occurs. I have tried logging out,reboot and that has not solved anything.

That's a pretty buggy quest, but I've never heard of this particular issue.

 

First of all, you should verify the integrity of your game cache in Steam.

1. Right click Skyrim in your Steam library and click Properties near the bottom.
2. Go to the Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity of Game Cache...

It should tell you if any files were damaged/missing. If all is well with the files and the issue persists, try the following command before leaving on the elevator (note: my memory is foggy, this assumes you're at the stage BEFORE you give the lexicon to Septimus).

setstage DA04 30

Let me know if it works or not.

Hey David. You're the best! 2 files were corrected via Steam. Adjusting them also helped with the map!
