Skyrim disc change

Ok so a few weeks back I bought skyrim at $19.99 for my xbox 360 not knowing there was a legendary edition for just $10 more. I knew nothing of skyrim at the time and had no idea there was DLC's for it, nor did I care to wonder. Anyways, I was hoping someone could tell me If I can buy the legendary edition and still continue to use my current character which has a level of 54.

Yes, you will still be able to use your original character.

Yeah, you can still get legendary edition while still having your old game, new stuff will be added to your game, and nothing will change.
