    After some extensive research, I believe I answered my own question. Completed quests appear to be listed in the order you started them, so regardless of which quests you finish first. quests that you start first will always be listed first (i.e. unbound will always appear at the bottom and Before the Storm will always be right above it). Can anyone else confirm this? (BUMP)

    That is not a glitch, it is part of the Dawnguard DLC. It is the cocoon of a chaurus turned into a chaurus hunter. It looks like it is open so it will not do anything until it re spawns.     Is it possible that Lydia is not dead? Perhaps you attacked her and she took a knee but never died. If that is the case, you can probably find her wherever you were last with her. The situation would be the same if you told her to stop following you. If you are playing on a PC, you can find her by using one of 2 console commands. To use console comands hit the ` or ~ key. Then type either player.placeatme 000A2C94 or player.moveto 000A2C94. These commands will place Lydia at you or move you to her respectively. If you are not on PC, I can only advise looking in areas she was last seen. I hope this helps.

    Dumb question regarding the quest log in Skyrim. How is it sorted? I think that unfinished quests are sorted first by the questline (i.e. main, Dark Brotherhood, Dawnguard, etc) but how are completed quests sorted? Are completed quests sorted by when you started them, when you finished them, or some other method. I have tried personally testing it in game, reading on the elder scrolls wiki and UESP. Any and all help is appreciated.
