The level sorting is already in work but good to hear I am not the only one that thinks that should be in the app. Afraid I cant support localizing the app because I cant afford the translation fees. I would have to charge $5 per download to cover translating it into just one language.

Wow, Ill have to fix that one today. Thanks for reporting it DanGer!

Evening everyone! I received a significant number of request for us to include more than the two save slots for character builds. True to my promise of keeping the fans in control of what gets put into this app, I have increased the save slots to +8. I am also going to use the extra time to put a few more tweaks in that some people have suggested. Unfortunately, adding the save slots is taking longer than I had hoped it would. That means I am going to have to push the update out from Sunday 23 March, to Monday 24 March. I think everyone will be pleased with the additions. My only regret is that I had to slip the patch by a day in order to get them in. Keep those messages and emails coming or post your request here.

I just posted this to TF. I forgot to put the download link it though... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emcee.elderscrollsonlinecalculator.app Just an update for everyone. The ESO Companion application has a new version that will be rolling out later tomorrow (Sunday 23 March 2014) on the android market. The update includes the fixes and change request we have received so far as well as the below listed additions. New Additions in as of tomorrow. -Character skill selection is now live. You can now select skills and morphs as well as save your selected builds into character slots. You will have the ability to save up to two (2) different builds. The two slot limit is temporary, we will be increasing that to eight (8) slots in the next week or so. -Character stat calculation. The character stats now update based on passive skills selected. This excludes skills that have a trigger like being cast or depends on certain types of armor or weapons equipped (see below on why this is a good thing). -Overcharge calculations. Stat overcharging is a tricky thing to calculate as the formulas are not fully understood at this time. However, we have added (and will continue to add) the values we have figured out so far. These values will change your stat to red bold numbers once you hit your cap for that stat. -Alchemy/Enchanting. Made some final adjustments to the alchemy and enchanting tables. As of now all known alchemy effects and enchanting rune translations have been added. Upcoming additions. -Character "paper-doll". This will give you the ability to assign different effects and armor values to character equipment slots and see how that factors into your overall skills. This will be most helpful for seeing how close equipment load-outs will put you toward overcharging skills. **KNOWN BUGS** The only know issue is some older phones with a 4" screen or smaller are reporting scrolling or display problems. We are looking into those issues and they appear to be limited to only phones with 4" or smaller screens. Regardless, we are working hard to fix this issue.

Yup, I just finished updated the skills from tonight's interview. They will go into the app in this weekends big update. The update will also roll in the ability to select skills, save and load character profiles, and hopefully the passive skill calculations will be done in time for this update as well. I should also mention that a basic "paper-doll" type interface is being worked on as well. It will allow you to specify stats for equipment and see how that will impact your stats. WAY too many dynamic armor pieces to have them in a database so it will just ask you to specify what traits and values each slot holds. This thing is a beast and I love it. I think once the word gets out it is really going to take off. Right now we have roughly 104 installs with only 5 days on the market. I wonder if there has been any noticeable upswing in hits on this site from the app... David?

http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/eso-android-application/ I posted the status and information on ESO Companion to Tamriel Foundry. Just trying to spread the love!

The app is uploading now!! It should be visible within two hours (or less). I disabled skill selection and softcap calculations until the formula is more accurate but those should be back in soon.
-
Sadly no, I found a bug with the skill selection that I am working on today. Still hoping to push it out today.

Heads up guys, the Android app is about to go from testing to release sometime in the next two days. The app is called "ESO Companion" and although it does not have all of the features enabled yet, I still think you guys will like it. I will be spending my beta weekend updating all the skills I know they changed from last beta. If you guys decide to give the app a try, let me know your thoughts and impressions. We are treating it like a living "ever evolving" project so feedback and wishlist items are greatly desired. For now the app allows character building with skill sets, level scaling of character stats, and a crafting reference section. Coming soon features are maps of all Sky shard locations, lore book locations, and dungeon entrance location and information (just to name a few things). So bottom line is watch for "ESO Companion" in the Android market this weekend and let me know what you think! Ohh and yes I put ElderSouls in the link page. So hopefully that will drive up some traffic for this site as well.
-
Yes, but until we can log in and see the real changes the last beta is all we have. I am aware that plenty has changed.
-
True, but that data is all we have to go off of right now. Anything else is just speculation.

The research time is a multiplication of how many traits you ""know" in an item. So if you dont know any traits on daggers then researching something will be 6 hours. If you know one trait in daggers already then researching a 2nd will take 12 additional hours. etc etc If you know 3 then the fourth will take 2 days. but if you go to research an item in shields then that has a different timer. Each trait takes twice as long as the last within a single item type.
-
Up to 32 days for the last trait in a single item.
-
The current tool tip (from last beta) reads "deals 5 damage with damage increasing based on targets health loss to a max of 300%" 32 stamina
-
I am going with sword and board for my DPS sorcerer build. Switching to a restoration staff for heals. That being said.... I want that silver shield!

The ESO character planner application should be out on the Android market within two weeks. It is being tested right now. Just a friendly "FYI".
-
I sent him a PM. Thanks for the heads up.
-
Nope, I am developing an android app for character planning and some other cool features.
-
Yea, trying to find out how much each character level and how much each skill level changes the stats of a skill is a pain. I might just disable that function until the game is out and we can actually do longer term testing. Beta invites to the app for anyone that helps solve this problem...
-
Dionysis, Do you mind if I use this and re post it? Excellent information man!
-
I could use a hand fact checking some math here. Does anyone have a working formula for how a skill (say a level one class skill) will scale based on the character level? Right now I have skill (damage, stamina usage etc) at level one times character level minus 1. What about on the level of the skill itself? What impact does THAT level have on the values listed in the skill? Any help would be appreciated greatly!
-
The part I am stuck on right now is getting the softcap per level formula.. ie when each skill goes into "overcharge".

Massively 2013 Awards: ESO Wins "Most Likely to Flop"
Tango replied to David's topic in Elder Scrolls Online Discussion
The people that have been in the betas (as I have too) should know better than to complain about the game being bug laden. They just completed the hardware stress test on the last beta at the end of January. Anyone that understands software development knows that you don't toss a bunch of software fixes into the mix when your goal is to test hardware stability. I bet money the next beta is when we will start to see the big fixes to the bugs that have been present for the last 3 betas. Chances are they already had all these things fixed in a different version of the game just on their own internal servers. Will this game have bugs post launch? Show me one MMO that didn't/doesn't! Is the game worth the $70 to buy it and the $15 per month sub fee? YES! ..and please, everyone stop saying it has a cash shop because it does NOT have an in game store of any kind. Greetings, First of all I want to say that this site has some amazing information on ESO. You guys have clearly been doing your homework. Secondly I would like to say thanks for having me. I found this site while searching online for some skill data I was missing. That led me to your skill database which in turn led me to your forums. I am a database developer by trade. Currently I am one half of a development company I started for making Android games and utilities. One of our projects is an Android OS character planner for ESO. It gives the ability to share your builds and, more importantly, includes stat calculations based on your level and the passives you have selected. For example it factors in all of your selected passives to show you your actual magicka regen rate. The application is not done yet but I wanted to bring it up for transparency. I am an avid ESO fan and I look forward to meeting you all. V/R Tango Uniform
