  1. I built my entire build with smallscale PvP in mind. In no way do I want to get caught up in the chaos of a full-scale battle unless I am picking off oponents one-by-one from the outskirts. I like the idea of having an improved stealth technique and surprising enemies with the opening move. The developers themselves mentioned that battles could be won using guerrilla warfare. I want to be able to hit-and-run, sneak into bases, and dismantle their defenses from within. This is my Nightblade build that I am considering: http://eldersouls.com/topic/4656-the-nightblade-thread/?p=32725 Let me know what you think!
  2. The name Foquisomo is derived from the Spanish and Italian word foco meaning "focus". A Foquismo is one who is focused. The title was coined during the Cuban Revolution of 1959 as guerrilla fighters were used to change the tides of war. These guerrillas were called Foquismos. This is mainly a PvP guild, being played on PC in the US West, dedicated to advancing our faction in PvP battle. The Ebonheart Pact is the faction, but the guild could be open to other races outside the faction. Other guild activities would be questing, exploring, some PvE dungeons, and crafting. I would like to see how many would be interested in joining a guild focused on guerrilla-type tactics in battle. The guild would form small groups to infiltrate enemy locations using stealth and surprise. My vision is to see small, well organized parties creep past the frontlines into enemy territory to cause trouble in a number of ways for the enemy. I'm thinking along the lines of disabling their seige weapons, possibly causing destruction to their gates from within, engaging in small-scale PvP, and so on. I have chosen the Nightblade class to play as my own. I posted my build in the forums linked here: http://eldersouls.com/topic/4656-the-nightblade-thread/?p=32725 If you plan on playing the in Ebonheart faction, and this type of guild appeals to you, tell me what you think, if you'ld be interested, and what you have to offer if interested. I have already pre-ordered so I will be online earlier than most. Aslo, if you have any suggestions or coments, feel free.
  3. This is a good heads-up post. Everything the Expert listed is necessary to succeed in PvP. I think the biggest one will be synergy of your character. I love the fact that this game allows you to play how you want, but if you're not building your character with the proper attributes and armor for the skills you use, you might have a hard time in PvP. Try to maximize your character's abilities by using racial, armor, and class passive bonuses and adding skill points to resources practicle for your build. CC will play a big roll if you're fighting out in the open in big battles. You MUST have at least one form of crowd control (i.e. stun, root, snare, blind, etc) to give you valuable time for your attacks. Fighting players can be non-stop and happen quickly. Any chance you have to slow it down will help in your advantage. And a defensive ability is also very important. Especially if you plan to be fighting in the thick of the action. There will be a lot of splash damage coming from all sides, so it would be wise to have a slot open for some type of damage mitigation or chance for the enemy to miss.
  4. [*]Race: My friends are playing in the Ebonheart Pact. But I will most likely buy the pre-order version and roll Kajiit for their racial passives: med. armor XP bonus, health regen in battle, and crit bonuses. Then with the pre-order perk I will move my Kajiit to fight for Ebonheart. [*]Primary Weapon: Duel Wield- daggers for speed -or- axe/dagger for bleed DoT and speed [*]Secondary Weapon: Bow- sneak power shots, poisoning, and siphoning. [*]Armor: 5 med. / 2 light- for the stealth, dexterity, and of course, the 5% passive Agility attack speed bonus- with some help with magic regen. [*]Resource Ratio: possibly 25%health, 35%stamina, 40%magicka [*]Skill Bar: Duel Wield: melee [*]Assassin’s Blade- for big damage when the enemy is low on health. [*]Haste- for bonus attack speed. [*]Blur- for incoming damage mitigation. [*]Teleport Strike- as a melee opener. The plan is to ambush them from range with my Bow, then teleport to them, stun them, and then start stabbing. [*]Shadow Cloak- for, well, invisibility. [*]Death Stroke- to hit them hard with a full Ultimate pool. I may use this right after Teleport Strike if my Ultimate is high enough. Other than Shadow Cloak this gives me 5 slots using the Assassination Skill Line. With the passive abilities, Pressure Points and Hemorage, that will add an extra 5%crit rating and 25%crit bonus damage respectively. Bow: range [*]Snipe- for a heavy ranged opener. The idea is to use this from the shadows as an element of surprise. [*]Poison Arrow- range interrupt. [*]Strife- for the healing from life leach. [*]Siphoning Strikes- for the resource regeneration. [*]Shadow Cloak- for the invisibility. [*]Soul Shred- for the AoE stun and the damage -or- Eye for Fear (Kajiit racial)- for the crowd control (if racials are allowed) If I feel I may need more CC for my primary skill bar, I would consider Sparks (weapon skill) over Haste and replace Blur with Purge for a clense. However, in a full-out battle, I will most likely fight from range and stay away from heavy blows and splash damage as much as possible. Either that, or sneak past the battlefront using my supurb stealthing abilities and do some dirty deeds behind enemy lines. Maybe I will start fires in their bases, surprise some poor Sorcerer with some 1v1, or sabotage their siege weapons. In any case, I don’t think I will need to CC as much as I would like extra attack speed from Haste and the passive crit bonuses from using more Assassination skills. As far as my Bow set, I may replace Strife with Cripple or Purge. I've also used this skill tree counting on the estimated number of skill points I will aquire from leveling, skyshards, and questing after some time of gameplay at max-level and placing them where I believe will work best with how I play: http://eso.massyx.de/1bFtOIY 85 skill points is only an estimate. I'd like to hear from others about what they estimate is an average number of skill points for maxed-level gameplay. I think this build will benefit my play-style best. I can use this while questing, dungeons and exploring, as well as PvP. But as much as I think this build is good for me, I KNOW that I will change some things when I start playing.
