OK ok, I know this might be a very difficult and long topic but I just want to gain a better understanding of the state in which Tamriel finds itself after the signing of the White-Gold Concordat. So the things that I know are the following: Talos worship is banned; Hammerfell is independent and has driven back the Altmer; Civil war has broken out in Skyrim; Elsweyr is now divided into two kingdoms who serve as client states of the Aldmeri Dominion; Valenwood is part of the Aldmeri Dominion; High Rock is part of the Empire of Tamriel. Please, correct me if I'm wrong on any of these. Now come the questions: Is Morrowind still part of the Empire or did it too become independent? Is Black Marsh part of the Empire (I thought it was but then I read that the deepest parts of the region are accessible only to Argonians which would rule out the possibility of garrisoning imperial troops)? And my last question, did the Aldmeri Dominion gain control of parts of Cyrodil as a result of the White-Gold Concordat because I read that during the war much of southern Cyrodil was occupied by Aldmeri troops? Sorry it had to be so long and I really hope someone can provide me with some answers.

I agree with what you are saying. Bottom line is, both factions are dicks. Just like in the civil war. I mean, both Ulfric and Tullius are being huge assholes to their people but I hate Ulfric more because his disguising his true selfish intentions with this rebellion and the fight for the 'true Nord way of life'. On the other hand Tullius is just a guy sent by the Empire to deal with a rebellion he hardly cares about and he doesn't really hide the fact.

I understand what you are saying, however, it did say that the Reachmen ruled Markarth in a just and proper way. Then Ulfric and his guys came along and butchered everybody. I said at first that I support the Nords, but I have to say that there are definitely two sides to this. I mean, sure the Forsworn are savages who worship Daedra but they haven't always been like that and It's certainly not their fault. On the other hand, you've got the "civilized" Nords ruling Markarth. But let's just take a closer look. You've got a young and inexperienced Jarl who can't impose his rule, you've got a family of greedy bastards who have the whole city in their pocket and are never above slaughtering their own citizens just to keep their river of blood and silver flowing, you've got a terrifying mine referred to as a 'prison' which hardly anyone ever gets out of, no matter what his/her crime, etc. Bottom line is, yes, the Forsworn are bastards but it is the Nords who made them into what they are today, the Nords who themselves are far from civilized despite what anybody says.

I presume this topic has been started already but I couldn't find it so I created my own. Anyway, what do you guys think of the Forsworn? Do you think that their cause is just and they should rule the reach? Do you think them beastly savages and you rather support the Nords? What do you think of the whole "War of the Reach"? I personally simply cannot overcome my dissatisfaction with the fact that the Forsworn worship Daedras and above all those disgusting Hagravens. I do think that they're cause is just (i remember reading that when they ruled the Reach their kingdom was just and peaceful) and I think they look awesome in their outfits or whatever with their cool swords, bows, and axes but I just don't agree with their methods is all. So what do the rest of yall think?

Thanks for the explanation. I get all now

Hey guys, So I recently started thinking about the races of Tamriel and what branch each belongs to. So when it comes to men you'd always say imperials, nords, redguards. And when it comes to mer you'd always say altmer, bosmer, dunmer. And the khajiit and argonians are beast-folk. But what about the Bretons and the Orcs? Officially Bretons are put in the same column as the other man-races. And the orcs are put in the Mer column. But I don't think I really agree with that generalization. It says that Bretons originally evolved from elves. They're even called manmeri sometimes. So are they really human? Are they elves? Or are they simply somewhere in between and do not belong to any of the main branches? And what about the orcs? They were originally elves who sort of evolved into what they are today but should they still be considered elves or are they leaning more towards the Beast-folk category? It's just that I would like to hear your guys' opinion about this. And one more thing - can someone explain how exactly the orcs came to be cause I'm not completely certain of the details.

Your favorite leader; Ulfric, or Tullius

For those of you who are saying that Ulfric is the better leader I would have to say that I completely disagree. Most of my characters have been in the legion but recently I tried playing as a Stormcloak and in the end when the war was over I didn't really feel good about the outcome. But forget that, I mean, just look at Ulfric's city, Windhelm. It is one of the worst cities in Skyrim. It has tons of rubble everywhere, most of the citizens are living in poverty, there's tons of murders the guards don't even care about, and overall it seems as though the people are suffering. Sure you could attribute that to the fact that all of the city's resources are diverted towards the war effort but still, Ulfric is living in that big ass gorgeous castle while his people starve and freeze. That really makes me think whether he is a good leader. Also, I didn't like how he acted after his final speech after the battle of solitude where he tells his soldiers that he will leave the other jarls to decide whether or not to name him king but then he turns to his right hand man (forgot the dude's name) and basically says that he already is high king so what he told his soldiers about letting the jarls decide is just bulls***. Furthermore, Ulfric is just a guy who doesn't realize all the political complexities with the thalmor and stuff so his judgement isn't really well backed when it comes to the future of skyrim. While Tullius is carrying out the orders of the emperor who is surely a better politician than Ulfric and knows better what is best for the citizens of the empire. And finally, I have to say that I really like Legate Rikke. And the fact that she is a Nord and still is fighting for the Empire really proves to me that the Empire is better for Skyrim. Hence In conclusion I would say that Ulfric is a better leader in battle (especially because of what he did in Markarth) but Tullius is a better politician who is not just thinking of himself.
