Hearthfire Released on PC

As of Thursday, October 4th, Bethesda has made the PC version of its "Hearthfire" DLC available on Steam. The DLC, as described by Beth Blog...

In case you missed it, with Heathfire you can purchase land and build your own home from the ground up – from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

The Hearthfire add-on content will be sold at a $4.99 price point; significantly less than the more pricey and substantial Dawnguard DLC ($20.00).

Skyrim DLC on the PS3

Many irate PS3 players have been waiting for Dawnguard on the PS3 since mid-July, and the mild annoyance has grown into a bitter resentment as Bethesda has refused to directly address the issue with a tentative release date. The Bethesda official forums have seen over 25 threads and literally thousands of replies demanding information from the publisher.

Unfortunately, there remains no real news on when - or if - either Dawnguard or Hearthfire will ever find their way onto the PS3. Pete Hines, Bethesda's Vice President of Public Reactions, released a short statement over twitter:

I don't have any info on Hearthfire, Dawnguard, or DLC in general for PS3. We're still on it. Will share update when I have one.

Whether or not they're "still on it" has been a point of heated debate, as previous Bethesda statements have been skeptical of the state of the PS3 versions.

And I lose more faith in Bethesda. I won't even buy Dawnguard unless it costs us less than $20. We deserve that much.
I'll only buy if it's $10 or lower, and maybe not even then. It's both out of spite, and... I more or less don't care anymore, Skyrim is nearly a year old. They can't pull things like this when interest is waning as is. I would have bought it for $20.00 without even thinking about it had it been released in July like the 360, or even the month later.
Yeah, if I had the choice between the Dawnguard DLC and Artorias the Abysswalker DLC, I would choose the latter. Of course, it would be nice to get the Dawnguard DLC, and I'll probably buy it, but only if it's cheap.
