Dragonborn Coming to PS3 and PC in Early 2013

  • On the eve of Dragonborn's launch on the Xbox 360, Bethesda has announced that the PS3 and PC versions of the DLC will be released in early 2013.

Dragonborn, Skyrim's much anticipated expansion, will be releasing tomorrow (December 4th) on the Xbox 360. On the eve of the release, Bethesda announced that the PC and PS3 versions of the game can be expected to arrive in early 2013.

The official announcement is as follows...

We’re less than 24 hours away from unleashing Skyrim’s next add-on Dragonborn on Xbox LIVE. It’s one of our most ambitious add-ons ever and we’re excited for everyone to play it.

We’re also happy to announce Dragonborn will be available on PS3 and PC early next year.

The support from Skyrim fans over the last year has been amazing, and it’s driven us to support Skyrim more than any game we’ve ever released – including free content updates, modding tools like the Creation Kit and the Skyrim Workshop, and our add-ons, Dawnguard and Hearthfire.

And we’re still not done – we look forward to sharing more Skyrim news next year!

It's yet to be seen whether or not Dragonborn is actually one of Bethesda's "most ambition add-ons ever," but the DLC will retail for $20. This is the same price Dawnguard was released at, and $10 below Oblivion's Shiving Isles expansion.

Bethesda still has not commented on the status of Hearthfire and Dawnguard on the PS3; perhaps that could be the upcoming news in 2013? Skyrim's most recent patch, version 1.8, was rumored to prep the PS3 for future DLC releases.

TES Online is the multiplayer game you're thinking of, and that's a different game, done by a different developer. Basically the only thing TES and the multiplayer game will have in common is the universe.

oh right :/ dont you think it needs like a story where if you complete the quest you gain "respect" for that faction, and you choose one of the two factions, so the rebel guys or imperial guys? then the more you do for them, the greater rewards you get but other players can do shit for the other faction and push it back?

does that even make sense

The Elder Scrolls Online is a prequel, is it not?
